It is a beautiful rich red fabric.  It is 100% cotton and 108" wide for backing fabric for a quilt.  One yard measures 36" X 108" - that is a lot of fabric. I carry it in my online shop.

Happy Valentine's Day --- Getting Up Close with My Quilting

I was able to get several photos of this quilt from all angles on the front and back.

The backing is a grayish minkee fabric.

So soft and cuddly.

If I remember correctly, I believe this quilt was given to a young couple for a wedding gift. What wonderful gift!

Week of Hearts --- Sweet Hearts, Grandma's Hearts, and Musical Hearts

I searched my blog for posts about hearts.

I found "My Little Sweetheart Box"  This link will take you to all the posts about the Sweetheart Box and the tutorial on how to make the quilted box.

I found the post about Eve's Heart Quilt.  She made with her Grandma.

Her Grandma brought the quilt to me to quilt, while Eve watched. Name of the post was:  "Why Grandma?"

I found hearts on the quilt, I created for my brother's recording studio.  I am inspired by his music. I named it "Keep on Dreaming" after one of his songs.

I wiggle line quilted most of this quilt.  I wiggled the lines of the checker board and the heart too.

When I was done I threw it in the snow for a photo or two.... The wind caught it and it rolled on the top of the snow.

Week of Hearts --- A Donation Quilt from 2011

Hearts, hearts and more hearts...

This Heart Quilt was made from Paper pieced Heart Quilt Blocks from all over the world.  It was a donation quilt.

Large meandering with hearts was a perfect selection for the quilting on this donation quilt.

A Valentine Twister Quilt to start off a Week of Hearts!

Up close on the backside of the twister quilt.

I took some photos at angles, looking down the borders.

Week of Hearts --- Hearts in the Snow

Some people make snow angels..... I make hearts.

I used an old spray bottle, some water, and red food coloring. 
How much? 
Water: about a cup
Red food coloring: a little squirt bottle - the whole bottle. I don't need it for cooking and I am sure it was really old food coloring. Probably from years ago.

I figured it was safe for the snow and the grass, if we can eat it. There is at least a foot of snow between the heart and the snow.

Up close... It was snowing as I was spraying.

I am just a kid at heart!
