Oh Not Much

Im pretty boring right now..Got some more Christmas shopping done today. The SIL & her boyfriend are finished, Im almost done w/DH. We still have his mom, my parents, Moo-Moo, and our nieces to buy for. Oh and a gift card for his dad & his wife. I did not realize how much that $900 would impact our finances. I mean, we had money saved, but it depleted. Then me missing work last Monday and we didn't get any kind of holiday pay for the Friday after Thanksgiving, I was 15 hours short on this paycheck. Then, Im looking at December, and Im gonna miss Friday the 11th, we have a half day the 15th, the 24th, we're off the 25th (but we get paid), closed teh 26th & the 27th, and 1/2 day the 31st. Thank God January is a 3 pay cycle and DH is working every weekend at his security job. We'd be big time screwed if it weren't for that. And yeah, we don't get paid for the days work is closed, even if its not our choice. I mean, I would rather be off, but I'd *much* rather get paid. Gah. Whatever. Work is dumb.

On the pain gallbladder/stomach/AF front, things seem a little better. AF has slowed a little bit, but there are still clots. Im having pretty bad rebound h/a's from the pain medicine, but they're worth not having the severe stomach/gallbladder pain. Also, if I wasn't having AF, I'd swear I was PG w/all the nausea Im having. Seriously. I haven't had neausea like this since I was PG in August. I have no appetite, but yet I feel sick to my stomach, but when I eat, that doesn't alleviate anything. My doc said thats one of the reasons she thinks part of my problem is ulcers. They cause you to feel sick, and nauseated, but when you do eat, it makes things worse. But she also said she could physically feel that my GB is swollen. Nice. I hope the endoscopy Friday answers a lot of questions. Also, she told me, if they get in there and the GB is all messed up, they're going to go ahead and remove it. Thats 2 weeks off work instead of 1 day. Gah. And my job doesn't provide paid sick leave or insurance, so thank goodness for Aflac. Hopefully it's *just* ulcers and we can take care of them w/some meds.

My parents are home..Well back on the mainland. They spent the week of Thanksgiving in a super-great condo in Gatlinburg, and then the Saturday after Gatlinburg, they went on a 7 day cruise in the Caribbean. They said that they got a really good deal on the tickets, and then when they got there, they got upgraded to a 2 room suite w/a balcony. Gah. My mom called Saturday evening before the boat took off and said she was too hot. I said "wah" it's 20 degrees here. LOL. So, last time I talked to them (this AM) they were just north of Orlando, most likely stopping somewhere in mid-Alabama tonight and going to their property in TN tomorrow and then home. I've missed them bunches and I really take for granted being able to talk to my mom on the phone whenever I want. When they're "cruisin" they can't use the cell phone, and I really wanted to just call her this week. It will be good to see them.

Okay, back to the movies. I rented Angels & Demons, and so far, it's super good.
