Hi

Thanks for dropping in today!

It's nice to have some company. I have been stuck at home here with my boys for the last week. We have all been really sick with this flu. Two of my boys are almost better but the third one is just coming down with it now. I am  still struggling to shake this horrid bug. Can't say I remember being this sick before.

Anyway moving on to much more interesting things.

My card for the current challenge here at Mad For Markers.

This time around we want to see you CREATE A SCENE and you still have a bit of time to get your entry submitted.

There are some really fabulous cards submitted already that you should really head on over and check out more closely.

For my card I have used this cute image from Pollycraft called "Sonny's Party" I have hand drawn the table behind her and the cake (I draw cakes just like I bake them, wonky! lol). The pile of gifts is a stamp by Kaiserstamp called "Party Gifts".

Here is a list of some of the Copics used to colour this image

Skin - E000, E00 and E21
Hair - E25, E27 and E53
Dress - Y11 and Y13
Table cloth - B91, B93 and Y11
I have used a clear Spica pen to add a little glitter to the balloon, cake, envelope and presents.

Ok, lets see what you can come up with for this fun challenge!!

It's Your Birthday - Enjoy It!!

>> Thursday, July 7, 2011

Hi there Copic Fans!!

It's Thursday again and that means it's my turn to create and share a card to inspire you to participate in the current challenge over at Mad For Markers.

There is still a couple of days left for you to submit your entry so don't be shy, give it a try.

I have actually enjoyed the challenge of RED HAIR this time. On previous occassions I have gone straight for the dramatic bold reds  but this time I wanted to create a more traditional red head, using the same colours as my previous card for this challenge.

To me, this is the best part of participating in challenges, you get to try something you may not otherwise have been inspired to do. Traditionally I have stuck to the standard brown or blonde hair but I have fallen in love with this particular hair colour now.

For my card i have used this fabulous image from Tickled Pink Stamps called "Lil Pinkette - August".

Click image to see it more clearly

Copic used to colour this image

Skin - E000, E00, E11 and R20

Hair - YR61,YR65, YR68, E33 and E35

Clothes - B91, B93,B95, Y21, Y23, YR61,YR65, C1 and C3
The current Mad For Markers challenge is open now and the fabulously talented Design Team have already posted some stunning creations to get you all inspired over on the Mad For Markers challenge blog. Hop on over there now and check them out.

Blue Tag

>> Thursday, June 9, 2011

Hi there Copic fans!!

I'm here today to remind you that there are just a couple of days left to get your submission in to the current Mad For Markers challenge.

The Design Team have been posting daily with fabulous examples of how you can use the sketch and the submissions to date are just fantastic.

I don't make a lot of tags so I was tempted to just make a tag shaped card this week but then I decided to step out of my comfort zone and just go with the straight tag. I'm actually pretty happy with how this turned out in the end.

Image is from Kenny K and papers from Stampin Up!. I have coloured the flower and lace with Copic Marker B21.

The following Copics have been used to colour the image

Skin - E00, E000, E11 and R20
Hair - Y21, Y 23, Y26 and Y28
Clothes and Shoes - E30, E31, E33, E34, E35, E37, B21, B23, B24

My fellow Design Team member,  Melissa, has come up with this fabulous tag sketch this fortnight and it is up to you how you use it, you might want to make a tag, incorporate the tag on to a card or maybe make a tag shaped card, it's up to you.

As I said, there are only a few days left of this challenge but time enough for you to get your entry in.

Hi there Copic fans!!

The challenge this fortnight has been to colour your embellishments with your Copic markers and I have managed to create a little something that hopefully shows you just a little example of just how versatile these fabulous markers are.

You can see a card here that I made last week using my Copics to colour the ribbon and lace.

This week I decided to create a tag/book mark.

I used "Club Kid" from Kenny K

I have coloured the lace and flower with R81

and the rhinestones that were a very pale pink I darkened by colouring them with R83

Copics used to colour this image

E000, E00, E11,
 R20, R81, R83, R85
E25, E27, E29,E30, E31, E33, E35, E37,

There is still a little time left to enter the current challenge over at Mad For Markers.

We would love to see the creative ways you can use your Copic markers to colour embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by today.

A few days left

>> Thursday, April 28, 2011

Hi

Gosh, here it is Thursday already, these school holidays and long weekends really play havoc with my sense of time. We just had a five day weekend and now we are heading towards another three day weekend! Hey I'm not complaining, lol!

Being a Thursday it means it is my day to create and share a card with you for the current Mad For Markers challenge. This months challenge has been to use Copics in the YR, RV and BG colour families.

For my card I have used a Kenny K image "Download Diva"

This colour combo for this months challenge has been tricky for me. I have to be honest and say it is a bit out of my comfort zone. I don't actually own any BG's yet so I tried to get a bit creative and use a couple of different colours on her jeans to try to achieve a blue green colour.

The following Copics were used:

Skin - E000, E00, E11 and R20
Hair -E29, E27, E25 and E53
Eyes - B93 and Y11
Shirt  and Shoes - RV91,RV93. RV95, RV99, YR61, YR65, YR68, N1 and N3
Jeans - YG91, YG95 and B91

There are only a couple of days left for the current challenge to run but you still have time to link up your card to share with us.

Have a great day!!

Happy Day - Amelia

>> Thursday, April 14, 2011

.
Hi blogging Buddies how are you?

Today I have a card to share with you that I created for the current challenge here at Mad For Markers which is to use Copics from the following colour families on your creation

YR, RV and BG

For my card I have one of my newly aquired stamps from the Oliver and Amelia set "Happy Day" available over at Mad For Markers

Colours used for this image are

Skin - E00, E000, E11 & R20
Hair - Y21, Y23, Y26 & Y28
Clothes - RV91, RV93,RV95, YR61, YR65 and YR 68

These images are so much fun to colour I still have a couple I haven't inked up yet that I'm sure you will be seeing soon. Sadly though, I wasn't overly happy with this card in the end. You know how it goes, it just doesn't go right from the start but you keep perservering when really you probably should of just scrapped it and started again...............oh well.

I do like the backround paper that I created though. I started off with a piece of whisper white cardstock and used a babywipe and Pumpkin pie ink and just kept sponging it till I got this effect.

Head on over to the Mad For Markers challenge blog to check out the current challenge and for some fabulous inspiration from the Design Team.

Hi

Wow, I know, I'm a little surprised too!!

I actually managed to make a card this week!!

Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely loving my new job, and I know it is only one day a week (soon to be two) but it has really thrown my crafting time in to chaos. That and the fact that my Mojo seems to have taken an  extended vacation and I'm just finding that there is not much creativity happen here at the moment. Let's hope that changes soon hey!

But on to my card for today......................

Mad For Markers has a new challenge running - We want to see the copic colours from the YR, RV and BG colour families.

Now, I don't have any markers in the BG family (YET, lol) so I opted to go for the RV colours.

I have used Anya from the Hats off Anya set available at Mad For Markers.

Copics used

Skin - E00, E000, E11 and R20
Hair - Y21, Y23, Y26 and Y28
Hat, shoes and clothes - RV91, RV93, RV95 and RV99
Shading - N0, N1 and N3

Head on over to the Mad For Markers challenge blog for some fabulous inspiration.

Hi

It is about 10:30pm on Wednesday night here and I am scheduling this post for my Thursday spot on Mad For Markers because I'm thinking I am going to be feeling a whole lot worse tomorrow, I'm aching all over, yucky tummy, it's not good.

So very quickly, here for you today I have my latest card for the current Mad For Markers challenge which is to create a Male card using brown copics.

I have used this terrific image from Mo's Digital Pencil called "Video Boy".

My mojo has definitely deserted me while I am feeling so sick and the result is this very simple card.

I have used the following Copics to colour

Skin - E000, E00, E11
Hair - E25, E27 and E53
Shirt - YG 91, YG93, YG95, YG97
Jeans - E55, E57

A Little More Raunchy than Ranchy

>> Thursday, March 3, 2011

Hi there Copic fans

How's your week going?

I am having a fabulous week. My "baby" turned 5 on Monday and yesterday I spent my third day in the land of grown ups (my new job) and loved it!! I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon enough but really it is just so much fun and the pay check I got last week, well that just feels like a bonus.

But today, I have something a little bit naughty for you....................

The new challenge over at Mad For Markers is asking for MALE CARDS using BROWN COPICS.

Well, I just had to use "Cheyenne" from Kenny K as I can use every single brown copic I have on her.

Oh boy, this image really is more raunchy than it is ranchy hey! But she sure is fun to colour!

I have used the following Copics:

Skin- E000, E00, E11 & R20 for blush
Lips & Tattoo - R22
Hair - E25, E29 & E53
Hat, Gloves & Boots - E55, E57 & E59
Clothes (what little there is, lol) - E33, E35, E37 &E39
Rope - E30&E31

I'm really loving this new challenge at Mad For Markers this month, as the browns are my second most favourite colours to use (of course pink will always be my most favourite :-D). Also too I always need a little extra push to make those Male cards so it's just perfect for me.

So come on, break out those browns and join in the fun. I can't wait to see what you create!!

Some exciting news for you over at the Mad For Markers Store too.
Hop on over there and check out the new range of stamps from "The Greeting Farm" that Sammi has in store now.Watch this space too for "La La Land Crafts Stamps" coming soon.

I've already put a decent sized hole in my brand new pay check, lol.

Red,White and Blue

>> Thursday, January 20, 2011

No Way!! Thursday again?! And its the third week of January already!

Moving right along, before I have to break out the tissues, lol. I have a card to share with you today for the current Mad For Markers challenge, which is a colour combo to use either Red, White and Blue or Green and Gold.

For my card I have used Kenny K's digi image "Skateboard".

I really wanted this image to be 3D and pop off the page so I printed it twice and cut out the boy and the skateboard separately and stuck them on the the first image with some 3D tape. I tried to take a photo of it for you but it's a bit hard to see.

I even managed to decorate the inside of the card this time too.

Copics used to colour this image were:

Skin - E00, E000, E1 ,R20 and R22
Clothes, helmet and skate board - B21, B24, B26, B28, R24, R27,R29, C1, C3, C5, N0, N1 and N3

I used my red Spica pen to colour the red star on the front and the ones inside of the card.

Make A Wish

>> Thursday, December 23, 2010

Hi Everyone

How's your sanity holding up??? I hope you are not all getting too stressed out in the final run to Christmas Day. It's all very exciting though isn't it, I just love Christmas.

You know what is even more exciting though??? It's my Dad's birthday, 74 today!! Love you Dad!!

And guess what............he is coming home from the rehab centre tomorrow (well that's the plan) 10 weeks after he had his stroke. I can't tell you how thrilled we all are!! I just wish I could be there to spend Christmas Day with them but that's life.

Well, enough of my waffling on, it's time for me to share my card with you for the current Mad For Markers challenge - Anything Goes.

Now just to clarify, no this isn't my Dad's birthday card ,lol!

I did managed to get his card off to him in time this year! What a terrible time to have a birthday I reckon, must have been a real bummer when he was a kid.

I have used one of Mo's gorgeous images and the following Copics to colour

Skin - E000, E00, E11 and R20
Clothes - R81, R83, R85 and C1
Hair - E25, E29 and E53
Grass - YG91
I have also used a flourish (Jessie, White) from Flourish with a Bling that you can get from Sammi at the Mad For Markers store.

At first I left the flourish white but it just didn't seem right so I coloured it with my YG91 (except for when I picked up the wrong marker and coloured one leaf with YG93 and then tried to fix it, Oh no! don't look too close lol).

These flourishes are just fantastic. They are self adhesive and come in a range of colours. You can use the whole flourish on your project or cut them to suit as I did with my card. Very versatile!

Colour Me Untraditional

>> Thursday, November 25, 2010

Hi Copic fans!!

I am so excited to see all the fabulous cards already submitted. You guys are amazing!! If you haven't  checked them out yet you should, and there is still plenty of time for you to get your markers out and join in the fun.

For my card this week I have gone with one of Kenny K's fantastic images "Mistletoe"

The basic colour combo I have used is Brown, Blue an Green (there's a bit of orange in there too :-D ).

I've used a my Peach Spica Pen to add a little shimmer to the trim of her jacket and boots. Here's a photo to hopefully show it up a bit better.

Copics I have used for this image are:

Skin - E000, E00, E11 and R20
Hair - Y26, Y21, C1 and C3
Clothes and Boots - B91, B93, B97, (E53, E25 and Peach Spica Pen for trim)
Holly - B93, Y13 and R46

I also used E29 to colour the clear rhinestones for the corners.
