I don't often go to indoor boot fairs, as they are usually very much lacking in vintage things, and I really don't want piles of clothes, heaps of toys or general household stuff. But I was suffering brocante withdrawal symptoms so I went to the last Tesco indoor ( carpark ) boot fair of the year.
I bought stacks of books, crime, mystery, fantasy, science fiction, but not much else. A little heavily tarnished silver dish and some bling. Can't have been all that bad, lol, if I came away with bling, right?
The sweet little silver dish -
Faux pearls with sparkling crystals -
And brooches, lovely vintage brooches -
I also made my Tag Tuesday challenge tag on time, woohoo. The theme was Black and White. I used scrunched up tissue paper over a white tag and highlighted the raised bits with a silver ink pad. I thought the black lace rose would be perfect for this tag, I had it quite a while and it had been patiently waiting to be used. I added a little bit of bling, some pearls and that was the tag done -

A little collage
I haven't made anything apart from tags for such a long time. But I really wanted to mess around with fabric and lace, not just paper, so I decided to make a teeny little fabric collage. Ahem. Tag size -

The Lady in Grey
For this week's Grey Dey Thursdey party over at Petite Michelle Louise's blog, I wanted to show you a beautiful Madonna I bought in France this summer. She is quite tall, over 20cm, and a beautifully aged silver grey -
Also from France are these silvered metal clock rings, errrmm, you know, the bit that holds the glass in on large mantle clocks. I found a bunch of them at a brocante and thought they would be quite useful for mixed media collages etc -
And yes, you guessed it, the little cross and the gorgeous vintage flower pin also came from a French brocante -
The gorgeous embroidered fabric in the above photograph is lovely shade of slightly beigey grey. It might just find its way into some more grey packs I am preparing over the weekend.
Thanks, Michelle, for hosting this cool grey party again, I love it!

White and Grey
Blissful Whites Wednesdays over at Becky's TIMEWASHED blog and Grey Dey Thursdeys at PETITE MICHELLE LOUISE's blog are always so much fun. As I love seeing both whites and greys together, I like combining both linky parties in one post.
Lets start with Blissful Whites. I found this beautiful plaque of Christ in France this summer, along with the sweet little white glass bead rosary -
This absolutely stunning Victorian dress top lace inset is also from France -
And these amazing crinoline lady buttons are French as well -
The bracelet, however, was in a bag of jewellery bits and pieces which I bought at an English boot fair. Love all the dangly bits, they make such a lovely little tinkly noise -
And on to the greys. Very different from the whites. Instead of beautiful lace and smooth pearls, I have grungy metal for you. Delightfully ornate back plates on a sweet tiny tarnished tray -
The background is a gorgeous antique French ticking fabric.
Thank you for visiting, and if you love whites and greys as well, hop over to TIMEWASHED and PETITE MICHELLE LOUISE and check out the great links.

Our Beautiful World - ETHEREAL
What a lovely theme for this week's prompt over at the OUR BEAUTIFUL WORLD blog! I took this photo in late Spring at our cottage in France. I would have liked to take a photo today for the prompt, but alas, I don't think there is anything ethereal about puddles and mud and more mud, lol. We have had so much rain!
And......... I have finally managed to catch up with the Tag Tuesday challenges, yay! Here are the last three tags I had to make to get up to date -
SHOES -
AUTUMN -
HALLOWEEN -
Thats all the tags done, now I have to get started on a long list of inchies which I have missed. I really don't like having gaps in a series of challenges.
And.............. oh no, it is the last episode of this series of DOWNTON ABBEY in half an hour!!! I just know that I am going to be so frustrated afterwards, it is bound to be a real cliffhanger. I am hoping for a Christmas special.
Right, got to get a few things done before it starts, so I wish you all a very happy week ahead, toodlepip xxx

Mother and Child on Grey Dey Thursdey
I missed loads of Tag Tuesday tag challenges over the last couple of months, and now that we are back in the UK, I am trying to catch up. I was pulling together some bits and pieces for the Mother And Child tag when I realised that I was pulling out beautiful and serene greys.... perfect for Grey Dey Thursdey, Petite Michelle Louise's linky party!
Mother and Child -
And while I am at it, I might as well show you the other catch-up tags.
Beads, Buttons and Bows -
Wings -
I am also busy busy busy getting some of the little treasures I brought back from France measured, packaged, weighed and written up so that I can finally add some new bits to the Etsy shop. I'd so much rather be crafting though, sigh......
