Evil Grin

Hello all in blog land. Cathy here to show you how I did my Cheshire Cat card.
This was a great card to do.
Items you will need for this, photo paper, Distress Oxide ink, baby wipes, soft cloth, stencil, black ink pad,  verafine ink and white paper.
Here is some of the stuff you need for it.

Here is what the photo paper looks likes after you do the smooching technique with the Distress Oxide inks. I did one color at a time. Dried in-between colors. *note always move heat gun* The heat gun will damage the photo paper if you keep it in one spot for to long.
I hope you can see it is cloudy in looks.

Next you take the soft cloth and buff the cloudiness away. (the Oxide ) You can see me start it in the corner here.
Here it is done after the buff. The paper has a shiny/glossy look to it. At this point you can leave it here and got on to stamping. Not me though. See that darker spot on the paper. This is where I too my baby wipe to get rid of the darker spot. (sometimes you will get streaks just keep wiping it till they go away)
After the baby wipe.
Next you just have to stamp your image on the photo paper. Me I chose the Cheshire Cat. I then I stamped it on white paper and cut out the eyes and fangs and glued them on the front of the image. It makes it pop I think. Cut the image out and layered on white cardstock.
For the stencil background I took a stencil (one from Tim's Halloween last year) and used my Versafine ink through the stencil.

Be Happy

Hi there, Cathy here to show you how I made my Be Happy postcard. I really had fun doing this postcard and I hope you give it a try. Here is most of the supplies I used to make this.

First I added molding paste thought a stencil onto my postcard. Then I let dry. Clean your stencil right away because you do not want to get the paste stuck on there. Then the stencil becomes useless.
Next I put some Nuance powers onto my craft mat and sprayed them with water and made them into watercolor
                                                             Heat dried this
Next I stamped the Corner swirl with green ink and Grunge diamond background with blue ink. I stamped them in their same watercolor colors.
Close up.
Next I used a image from the coloring book. I had already had cut up the page before so I cut out the flower and colored it with Copic markers. Edge it with black so you don't see the white edges.  Then I cut it in half to put on the edge of the post card.
                                                     (this is the other half)

Last I stamped Be Crazy Be Stupid saying and cut it out. Taped it to the postcard and I outlined the words with thin line black marker.
I hope this gets your creative juices flowing and try something like it. Thanks for looking.

Googly Eyes Kitty

Hello there in blog land. It's Cathy here and a how to on my Googly eyes kitty tag. First I started out with Distress tags(size #8). Really any tags will work for this.

Next I used the Distress Oxide inks on my craft mat and did the smooching technique. Ink, spray with water to activate the Oxide, smooch, dry and repeat. Do that on you tag till you are happy.
Next stamp Happy Cat on Copic friendly paper. Color with markers. Then I cut out. Edged with black marker so you don't see cut lines(white around the edges). The white circles are from a stencil and some white paint.
At the time I didn't know where I was going to do then I saw the googly eyes and the
flamingo drink stirrers and it made me think of the new saying over at Carmen's Veranda about the squirrel in traffic that I have and it came all together after that.
As you can see I didn't use the saying in the way is made. I stamped it out and cut it up to use what I wanted. Outlined the words with fine tipped marker.
That is my Googly Eye Kitty tag.

To start I used a #8 tag (the XL one) and added pink and yellow distress stain around the edges.
(I heat dried it since i have very little patients lol but you can set aside to dry if you'd like)

Next I stamped my ADORABLE party hat dog (found HERE) in black ink... Isn't he the cutest????

Next I used two of my TCW grunge stencils (pictures of the stencils in my post on June 27th HERE if you'd like a visual ) I sponged black ink through the stencil to add the circles.
To finish I shadowed around the party dog with my black sparkle pan pastels
(you can also do this with ink, but i had mine handy).

See, I told you it was easy!!
Wouldn't this make the cutest party invitations???
Or maybe a Doggy Birthday card!!!

Freaky

Hello everyone,

Corrie here and today I have an art journal to share with you.

I used Model Paste, gesso and Pan Pastels for the background which was then randomly stamped. The word 'freaky' was done with a stencil which was given to me as a present ! (Thanks, you know who you are  ! I love it) The clown was stamped on white paper, coloured with Copic Markers, cut out and adhered to the page on top of a few bits of washi tape. The same washi tape was also used in the top left corner.

Stamps used:

Thanks for stopping by !

Cats + Numbers = Party!

Hello Again!

It's me Tera here with another fun tag project.

(If you haven't been there yet you really need to Hop on Over and check it out!!! There are some awesome prizes, challenges, and inspiration!!)

Start with a #8 tag (or what ever the XL-large tag size is lol) Paint or ink it yellow and pink (I used distress stains). Allow to dry.
On a separate piece of paper stamp your kitty HERE in black ink and your party hat HERE in Black ink and i did the 2nd one in Kaleidacolor "Caribbean Sea" but and blue/ green would be good :D  I then used the same blue greens to sponge color the party hat and kitty (i used a make-up sponge). For the second har i used my pink stain. I cut them all out then set them aside.

Back to the background... I used 3 stencils from TCW, 2 were grungy looking ones and one was clocks... I added numbers and circles using the black and pink dylusions paints and I added a few more circles with some blue paint to pull things together.

Last I glued my little kitty and hats on and there you have it one fun ready to party tag!!

Thank you Again for joining me in sharing this fun inspiration and don't forget to check out the new challenge on July 1st!!!

Time for a Tag

Hello Again!

It's me Tera here with another fun and SUPER EASY project.
This time I wanted to play with my tags...

I started with some card stock that was painted green (using the new Dylusions paints...yes they are magical and play well with my stamps hehe..)
Next I stamped the text background in black ink (only partially inked to get a distressed look). While that dried I inked up my winged creature "Adrien" (LOVE it you can find her HERE) and stamped her on a scrap of green and yellow painted card stock. I went back to the tag and used one of the Tim Holtz stencils to create the coffee ring stain ad splatter with Black Dylusions paint. Finally I cut out my winged creature glued her in place then cut the overhang wing off to add to the upper left corner,

Stamp Links
"Adrien" HERE and Text background "Broken Letters set"HERE

Don't forget about the new Portal to creativity challenge blog!! There are some great prizes going on over there!!!! The link is  in the side bar so check it out!!
(Who doesn't love inspiration and Prizes all in one place?!?!?)

...and a happy new year!

Hey there, Lindsay here, gosh, I've been so busy this holiday season that I haven't been by this blog much but I did have to pop in and share my Happy New Year's Tags using the Party Cats Stamps:

What!?! you are thinking, this chick has so much time on her hands that she is doing "New Years" before Christmas...well, not exactly, I did not make enough Christmas cards this year and it is too late to send out more Christmas cards so I went the New Years route. You can hear my tale of woe and learn how to make these beauties in today's video:

Well, I better boogie, I still have Christmas gifts to make...now where did I put that crochet hook? Happy crafting!
