BOOPIE LOVE

If you are a regular reader of A La Carte then you know I have a 'thing' for Boopie!  I bought some last year on the
Worlds Longest Yard Sale
Paid a little more then I wished for the two glasses that match but I was in love

I did a post about Boopie and how to tell if it's Candlewick or not

I even found green boopies and paid $1.97 per glass...yikes!
So imagine me just stopping in the Salvation Army store...walking around and what to do I see....
BOOPIE
I found seven of these cute little glasses
 I only took a picture of 4 & no I'm not sure why :)
Oh the Boopie, wait I don't have a basket
I ran up to the front of the store grabbed a basket and as I'm coming back for MY BOOPIE  what do I see???  Another person's hand hovering near my boopie...I tell this very nice lady that I was getting these and just had to go get a basket....she backed away.  I mean don't get between Linda and her Boopie
Did I mention they were only 49 cents each!!

I also have never heard of Boopie, but I can see how you would be attracted too, and "aggressive :)" about your Boopie! Joni

You crack me up! I can see you going into Full Smackdown Mode over the great price on Boopies! I won't be fighting you for them as I have No Room For anything more. It is decided.

I can soooo picture you telling that woman basically to back away from your boopie! LOL but, who could blame you! At .49 cents each, its worth showing you mean business! LOL Thank you for joining TTTF. Have a great weekend Linda!

I love boopie also. I have a lot of the green boopies. I can't believe you found some for on $1.97. They are so expensive around here. :-( I'm happy for you that you were able to add to your collection at such a good price!

Linda, what a riot! I've never heard of Boopie, either! And I can just see you NOT letting anyone else grab your boopies! :D

You crack me up! I pity the fool that stands between you and a Boopie. :)

I like the green one's the best. You know, I was in an antique store and a dealer was marking Boopie's with a rediculous price. I mean really rediculous or I would not have said "That's kind of high for Boopie glasses!" and she declared them Candlewick. I said maybe you should check again. I have some just like them at home and they are Boopies. So you weren't the only person to be confused about the difference between Boopie and Candlewick.

Linda I think you are lucky when it comes to finding cool stuff inexpensively!~Ames

Hi Linda Boop!!!
You are not the only one loving boopie glass from reading the comments, I'd say there are many.
I know that whenever someone has it in the shop, it sells right away.

I love boopie also. :) When my Mom passed away last year one of the things I cherish is the four ruby boopie glasses I brought home with me. They are of juice glass size. I have one green like in your photo above. A friend was moving and was going to pitch it...it came home with me. :) I'd love to pick up more of the ruby ones but have not come across any.

Great Boopie buys! 49 cents! Are you kidding? At that price i wouldn't have let anyone get between me and those boopies either! I recently found six together at a thrift shop and was thrilled to get them. They weren't 49 cents, but they weren't too bad either.

I don't have any of the pretty colored boopies such as your lovely green ones. I'll be on the lookout now!

You go girl! Grab those boopies right outta her hands! LOL I have never seen any boopies in our thrift stores around here, and if I did, they'd be an outrageous price. Even $1.97 a piece sounds good to me. Great finds!

I had no idea what 'boopie' was til I read this. I believe there's some in my mum's cupboard - I'll have to look next time I'm home.

Hi Linda! I love the word 'Boopie' and had never heard it before you! I knew, or thought I knew what the candlewick was. I still love the word "Boopie" the best! :) Cute collection too.
