Snow!

Yippee!  Nothing like snow to get the feet flying!

Of course, we've been enjoying the weekend snow a bit more than Dad; he started off with a snowblower, and had to move to the plow because the snow was thick and heavy...

Since Dad wasn't having much fun with the snow, we did our best to have enough fun for him, too!

Is it me, or does Abby have Crazy Eyes in those last two pictures?

Yesterday it snowed pretty much all day, and Abby and I took full advantage of the Bitey Face While Snowing opportunities.

Seriously, bitey-face in new snow is just awesome!

Of course, zoomies in new snow Totally Rock, too!

This picture looks a lot like the first one in the post, but in this picture, it's snowing, which makes it a Completely Different Photo!  Heehee.

Oh yeah!

And for those of you snowless doggies, I feel your pain.  In fact, in order to draw attention to your plight, I am going to strike serious poses and smackdown my sister in the hopes that the world will recognize what a tragedy it is to see dogs without snow of their own.  Feel free to join me in this cause!

Snowless doggies, I feel your pain.

Day 4 of Pictures

Okay, even I am beginning to admit that some of our pictures look a little bit the same. My loving Granny suggested that we get date-stamps on the photos, so you know we aren't just recycling old pictures. Why bother recycling - we can get more picture of the same thing each day! Heehee.

*ahem*

Actually, Mom has been trying to get Dad to stand on the porch and take some pictures of us catching the frisbee, while Mom throws the frisbee (something about Mom not being able to throw and get good pictures at the same time), but Dad has been a stick in the mud has been busy with work, and it hasn't happened yet. But I'm sure Mom will sucker Dad into doing it one of these days, because we do some pretty cool flipping twisting catches. We could like, totally be in the Winter X Games, if there was, like, a 'Snow Frisbee' competition. Hmmm. Maybe Mom should contact Red Bull and see if they want to sponsor us. Heehee.

*double ahem*

But, I don't think bitey-face ever gets old. So how can pictures of bitey-face ever get old? That's like saying that you only ever need to see 'Swan Lake' once because it's all the same. Yuh. Not so much. Keeping that in mind, here's today's installment of Swan Lake ah, "More of The Same". Heehee.

More smackdowns and the opening of the polls

Okay. So. Where were we?

Oh yeah. Mom and Dad had the final car races of the season this last weekend. The races were out at Miller Motorsports Park, so we loaded up the House With Wheels and prepared for the adventure. Mom and Dad were pretty worn out before the weekend even started, so by the time they set the course Friday afternoon (rather than setting it Saturday morning – Dad was chairing Yet Another Event, and one of the responsibilities is to set the course), and got settled in, they were pretty tired. So after a full day of racing on Saturday, and having firmly established their standings for the season by racing every single event all season, up through the event on Saturday, Mom and Dad decided to skip Sunday’s race and have a leisurely drive home, instead. Which was fine by us. As much as Abby and I love socializing at car races, we like racing around the backyard even better.

Mom was too busy (and tired) to get any pictures from the event, and she hasn’t seen any pictures from anyone else, so just pretend that there are a bunch of car racing pictures here.

But, we’ll oblige you with some running around and wrestling pictures…

C'mon, you big lunker my dear sweet sister, catch me!

Heehee. Good times. But as you can tell, with winter fast approaching, late afternoon pictures are hard to get because the light is getting low. So here are pictures of our smiling faces, just in case you've forgotten what we look like! :-)

Now, speaking of smiling faces... I got a few entries for my new name tag line (I'm guessing the rest of you must have gotten so caught up in thinking of entries that you fell asleep... hey, it has happened to me...), and after using a little artistic license, I have the following options available (I'm including the name of the submitter because the winning line will have a donation made to their favorite animal charity):

  • Zoom-zoom (Dennis - although I'm not sure he meant this as a tag entry, Mom thought it was appropriate given that they race a Miata)
  • The Good Dog (Khyra)
  • The Goldenator (Mango - this is my 'wrestling name')
  • Fiona the Fair (Twix)
  • I Was First (Tank)
  • The Very Good Sister (Bobo and Meja - actually, we had to shorten their entry a tad!)
  • Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum (Wild Dingo)
  • *Kissey Face* (Daisy Dog)
  • First in Flight (Granny and Grandpa)

Mom thinks she's got the voting thing working, so vote away. She's got it set up so you can pick multiple names (just in case you can't decide), and she's hoping that you can vote early and often (but she doesn't really know how the 'poll' thing works in Blogger, so who knows how she has it set up..). Anyhoo, voting is open for a week, and remember the tag line with the most number of votes will go on my new name tag from Fetching Tags so as the Crusader in the third Indiana Jones movie said, "Choose wisely". Heehee. And again, the winner's favorite charity gets a donation, so please vote!!!

PeeEss: Mom is trying to figure out a new bloggie layout, so be patient if things look funny for a while - she hasn't found a layout she likes, and isn't clever enough (or maybe she said patient enough - I can't remember) to create one of her own...

Thursday Night Smackdown**

Let's get ready to RUMBLE!!!!

But before we start, I'd like you to note how, in this first picture, my sister and I are clearly different colors:

This is important, trust me. Hold that thought while I make sure my little sister knows her place. Heehee.

Hmm. I'm not really sure whose head is whose in that last picture...

You see how my sister is being dragged through the dirt there? Hold that thought in your mind...

And do you see the dust we are kicking up in that last picture? Hold that thought, too.

Okay, so after several rounds of me showing my sister who's boss, we both got brushed down (because of the aforementioned dust), and came inside.

And then Mom noticed this:

After rolling around in the dust, my little blonde sister is Not Blonde Any More!!! Seriously. We are both the same color right now. That is Abby in that picture - you can tell from the collar. Dad had a guitar lesson tonight so giving Abby a bath wasn't in the cards, but Mom and Dad figured that if she stayed the same color after being vigorously brushed (and she was), she probably wasn't going to get the house too much dustier than it already is.

But it also means that we get to go swimming tomorrow!!!

In the meantime, I'm going to look around for Rod Serling, because it's a little creepy to have my sister looking like a bigger-boned version of my Most Attractive red-haired self.

**Okay, this actually took place during the day, but that just doesn't have the same ring to it.
