Heartfelt Creations....Friends never say goodbye!

Today is my last post for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team. It has been a wonderful year on my journey. Heartfelt Creations  stamps, dies, beautiful papers and designers have never failed to inspire me.  Today I have two cards for you, one from the Sweet Juliet Collection and one from a few of my favorites.

When I get new stamps and dies I hold them at all different angles to see what I can see. Here a teacup is also a skirt or dress and a heart is also a bodice and look, a corner die is lace......

Please stop by the Heartfelt Creations blog for instructions and to see what the designers have for you.

Thank you so very much for your patronage.  As they say on the popular show, Duck Dynasty...she gone'

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday Inspiration Tag

Today I have for you a tag made using Heartfelt Creations stamps from the Sweet Juliet Collection. For the beautiful background on this tag I used the Acrylic Distress technique which can be found at Split Coast Stampers.  As you can see the flower spray in the Recovery Wishes PreCut Set is very versatile. I stamped it on the bottom of the tag up the sides and across the top. When you stamp  the flowers close they almost look like Wisteria vine.

Here is a close up  of the flowers on the tag.

Heartfelt Creations Vintage Inspiration

I hope that each one of you has had a wonderful joyful week. I spent a good part of my day Sunday in my craft room. There was a vintage air around me while I crafted. This card is spectacular in real life. The Antiquity Paper Collection at Heartfelt Creations is awesome and the Beautiful Juliet precut stamp set is  spectacular all I needed was to close my eyes and trace back in time to my Grandmothers attic and a card was born.

I mimicked the designs and tones in the Antiquity Paper through out my card. I hope you enjoy it.

Heartfelt Creations Sweet Juliet Collection

Heartfelt Creations is pleased to introduce the Sweet Juliet Collection. This collection is inspired by the beauty of ancient rooms locked away and laden with antique treasures.  These rooms are filled with yellow candlelight and dusty vases. Crinkly letters lay scattered around, turning crisp and fading more every day.  A postcard lays covered in thick dust, forgotten in a dark corner.  Wildflowers lay around, as crisp and crinkled as the beautiful wallpapers.  Using these detailed floral and typographical stamps, complemented by black, gold and burgundy papers will enable you to create an outstanding classical creation.

Leave a comment on the Heartfelt Creations blog by October 15th and you will be eligible to win the entire collection valued at $150.

Here I used the Sweet Juliet flower die in two different ways, once flat and once curled up. For the leaves I chose to go with the Tattered Blossoms PreCut Stamp and Coordinating Die.

Please stop by the Heartfelt Creations blog and see how the designers have used the Sweet Juliet Collection.

When I looked at the lace tree die it reminded me of my Grandmothers tatting. I incorporated the lace and holly behind  the sugary candy canes and set a glistening poinsettia on top. A slightly vintage look here.

To be Prillific... you can too with USArt Quest.

Hello my friends. It is Prill month over at USArt Quest. I was asked to create something  using Prills, Crystal Effects and  Artist Cement this was not a challenge for me. I have been having an affair with Prills for over a year now. We first  exchanged glances at a show in Birch Run, Michigan  November 2011 and I must say the Prills had me at "Hello!" I could not get enough of them. I had to have them all so that I could have them when I wanted them. I use them for texture, for flower centers, for bug bodies and yes for the most  beautiful frass (you need to be a gardener to know what that is).  And then there is Crystal Effects; my friend. The sparkle that even the anti-glitters approve of. It does not follow you through out your home it stays where you put it. Artist Cement well it is great for texture and building up. So with no further delay here is my creation.

My background is made using the Acrylic Distress Technique found at Split Coast Stampers. I used  USArt Quest beautiful  Perfect Pigment Acrylic Paints. Here  I used Cobalt Turquoise Hue with Titanium White added. It is just gorgeous.  I cut a column from  a Cottage Cutz die covered it with Artist Cement then covered it in  Prills - Taken for Granite.   I cut Ivy from Cottage Cutz die and covered it with Crystal Effects.
I stamped my image and embossed it with Judkins Rustique Patina Bronze. I used a water color brush  to color my image using distress inks and Mica Color Water Colors. The flowers are cut using Heartfelt Creations dies with coordinating stamps and the  Rose and Label dies are Spellbinders.

All of my flowers were cut from 90 lb water color paper then painted with  Mica Color Water Color. Prills were added to the centers.  I painted some Gold Mica on my ribbon and  on the edge of my rose petals. I also added a wee bit of Crystal Effects to the edge of the rose petals. I use a wet paint brush dip it in PPA then dust on the Crystal Effects.

I hope this will start your love affair with Prills, Crystal Effects and Artist Cement. Stop over to USArt Quest and see their offerings  you will be amazed.

They are  running a special through January 18, 2013, details below.

Leave us a blog comment, shop online at www.usartquest.com, use coupon code: “WINTER13″ and save 20% off these items: Prills, PPA – Matte or Gloss, 101 Artist Cement, Crystal Effects & ATC Cards. Offer Expires: 1-18-13
