Crafter's Companion~ Spring is in the Air!

Good morning, today I have a fun and cheerful card for you using the

So many cute and sweet elements in this collection it was hard to choose what to use! :)

I started with the beautiful papers from the 12x12 Paper pad and then adhered the Cottage Window die.

I paper pieced the Umbrella and used the coordinating die that comes in the set to die cut it out. I added the Primula flowers I created using the SN Harmony Water Reactive Inks in Chinese Red and Orange. Some stamens from my stash finished off  my Primula flowers which I tucked into the umbrella. :)

I then made some different flowers for my "flower box" using the Aster stamp and die set. I using Lemon Tonic and Honey Pot from the Summer Yellows collection.

A sentiment from the Spring Sentiments set and enamel dots finished off my card.

Thank you for joining me today!

STAMPlorations~ Choose Happy

We're back! So excited to be starting up the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Monthly Challenge again!
Just remember to use a stencil in your make (and it cannot be a card) to be eligible to win.

So here's a tag I made using Weaving ARTplorations Stencil, Dogwood Large and Noteworthy 2 STAMPlorations stamp sets:
I started with a Watercolor Tag which I then used Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides to create my background. I then used same distress oxides on another sheet of watercolor paper and stamped the Large Dogwood image several times and fussy cut the flowers. I stamped the image with Jet Black Archival Ink onto the tag and colored the stem with Brown Posca Pen

I added the sentiment from Noteworthy 2 set and doodled with a white Uni-Ball Gel Pen. I molded the flowers for some dimension with a stylus and added them onto the tag. I love the added dimension this added. :o)

LBBS~ Peony Art Journal Page

Hello, crafty friends, today I have a fun Art Journal Page using one of the amazing Mixed Media Images that Olga has in the Little Blue Button Shop! I used the Mix Media Peony digi stamp
Isn't she gorgeous???
Be sure to check out the other amazing Mixed Media Images in the shop here
I started with a Bo Bunny Chipboard Mini Album page and applied Distress Paints in Spun Sugar, Barn Door and Antique Linen. I stamped some text in the background and applied texture paste thru a Memory Box Stencil.  I used a Penny Black Stamp to ground my image.

I printed off 4 copies of the digital Image and colored the flower, bird and flower in her hair several times with Spectrum Noir Markes. I then layered the pieces to give it more dimension and adhered the pieces with foam dots/tape. A little glossy accents, Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen and Heart Bling finish off the page.

I find adding a little dimension with layers to a Digital Image can enhance your projects to suit your needs.

I sure hope I've inspired you today.

Happy craftin'!

Hello, crafty friends, today I have a cute lil' Spring inspired card using Little Blue Button Stamps~ Little Fairy Digital Stamp

I kept the background pretty simple but vibrant as I cannot wait for spring so went with orange and pink watercolors using Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers! Did a little background stamping and splattered some black acrylic paint to tie into the card base. I finished with a sentiment from Altenew's "Faithful Feather" Stamp set.

I colored this cutie with SN Markers and added some SN Sparkle Clear Pen on her wings and some Ranger Glossy Accents on the bubbles.
There we have it, a fun and vibrant Spring Card. :o)

STAMPlorations~ March Mixed Media Challenge

Happy Sunday everyone, it's that time again for a new challenge over at
http://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2017/03/stencil-sunday-march-5.html

The theme is always anything mixed media goes except a card! Just remember you must use at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. You have until the end of the month to play!

This month, I made a couple of Spring inspired ATC's using ARTplorations Bubble Dance & Weaving Stencils and STAMPlorations Strong Women and Big Bloom Factory Stamps.
I used some Distress Oxides to create my background using the Smooshing Technique on Watercolor Paper and then  added some texture with the Distress Oxides thru the Weaving and Bubble Dance Stencils. I stamped Sentiments from the Strong Women set and finished with some Washi Tape and backed onto pastel purple CS.

For the flowers I stamped the flowers onto Watercolor  Paper and embossed with clear EP and then watercolored them with Distress Oxides and my waterbrush pen. Once dry, I fussy cut them out and shaped and layered them and attached a brad

There, we have it, another fun make using the fabulous stamps and stencils from STAMPlorations. :o) I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty and join in our challenge.

Here is a lil' tag I made using ARTplorations  Weaving stencil and STAMPlorations Always Time for Tea stamp set.

I started with a tag cut from watercolor paper and then added Ranger TexturePaste thru the Weaving Stencil in the top left and bottom right corners.  After that paste dried, I  then wet the paper with paperto prepare for my watercoloring. I used my Kuretake GansaiTambi Watercolors and applied  No. 44 & No. 139 in layers; drying in between layers.

I stamped and embossed the teacups from the ALWAYS TIME FOR TEA stamp set onto Wisteria Paper from BasicGrey. I fussy cut them out and layered them on top of eachother creating a slit in the bottom cup with my Exacto knife. I adhered them with Golden Matte Medium. I stamped a sentiment from the same set with Jet Black Archival Ink as I thought it needed some black. I  then cut a slit in the top cup and added the flower sprigs from Melissa Francis Embellishments. Some faux white stitching along the edge of the tag with my White Molotow Pen finished it off. :o)

There, we have it, another fun make using the fabulous stamps and stencils from STAMPlorations. :o) I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty and join in our challenge.

http://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2016/12/artplorations-stencil-hop.html

Woohoo! There are some amazing prizes up for grabs...check out the info here and get hoppin'! :o)
Here's a little tag I made using Honeycomb Delight Mini - ARTplorations Stencil with a sentiment from the Strong Women set.
I started with a piece of watercolor paper and blended Mermaid Lagoon and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks. I added a few water droplets for added texture and then blended the same distress inks thru the Honeycomb stencil. Love the soft contrast and variation of color and textures. I used a die from my stash (sorry I got it in a swap and don't know the company name) to create a cut out and matted it onto another tag that had Black Soot Distress Paint. I finished with the sentiment stamped in Jet black Archival Ink and some crinkle ribbon and bling button.

I hope you've enjoyed my little tag today and come back and join me for Day 3 as I'll have another fun lil' card for you using a stencil to emboss. :o)

STAMPlorations~ Sunday Stencil~ INSPIRE

Good morning crafty peeps! It's that time again...

http://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2016/08/stencil-sunday-august-7.html
A new challenge starts today at STAMPlorations!! Woohoo!

The theme is always anything mixed media goes except a card! Just remember you must use at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. You have until the end of the month to play!

So this month I played with STAMPlorations
Art Marks and ARTplorations Happy Flowers along with some Brushos pigment powders.

I started by sprinkling some Brushos onto watercolor paper I die cut into a tag.  I sprinkled on Gamboge and Brilliant Red until I achieved the color I was going for, and then let it air dry. Once dry, I used the Happy Flowers stencil and used Ranger texture paste and let that dry completely. I placed the stencil back on and sprayed with Post Box Red Dylusions Spray so I could get the vibrant red color. I then stamped the circles and paint splatters in red and orange Memento Inks onto my background.   I doodled a white border around the tag and stamped the INSPIRE sentiment with Black Archival Ink using my MISTI. I then decided to trace my stenciled flowers with a Black Sharpie Marker and use the SN Sparkle Pen in Clear to make them stand out a bit more with a bit of shimmer. I then adhered it to a black tag base and finished with some seam binding that I dyed with the Brilliant Red Brushos.

I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty today and play along with us this month! :o)
