17 Turtles Guest Designer | Cut Files...

Hi Everyone!  I just wanted to share with you today that I am guest designing for Juliana Michaels: 17 Turtles and her etsy store - 17 Turtles Digital Cut Files.  She has a lovely collection of digital cut files to create with and I am very excited to help her spread the word of her new venture.

I have been playing with two of these cut files and created a layout for each file individually.  The first layout features the "Roses" digital cut file.

 "Mulan"

products used: cs - gold glitter, American Crafts; pp - Scraptastic Club Kit (Worth Wondering); alpha - Jillibean Soup (beanboards) ; other - embroidery thread; tools - silhouette  portrait, typewriter.

Right from the start these blooms reminded me of my daughter's dance solo where she was Mulan.  Isn't it funny how certain images can trigger memories!  *grin*  I cut the "roses" from gold glitter cardstock and instead of using a traditional green leaf to go with them, opted for brown instead.  These colours not only support my photo but lean heavily towards an Asian influence.

You can find this cut file and many more over in Juliana's etsy shop.

Roses Digital Cut File | Perfect for a variety of craft projects including paper crafting, scrapbooking and more.

My second layout is up, over at Juliana's blog today as well.  I think I drooled a little bit when I saw the "Pie Chart Love" cut file!!! Here's a sneak peek..  ps - I've used the Scraptastic Club Kit "The Girl" to create this layout.

If you get the chance, head on over to 17 Turtles and discover what I've created with this awesome background cut file!  Thanks for visiting...x

Jillibean Soup | Chalk...

Hello Friends! How is everyone today?  I just wanted to pop in briefly to share my layout that is up on the Jillibean Soup blog today.

"Chalk"

products used: cs - Kaisercraft; pp - Jillibean Soup; alpha - Jillibean Soup Alphbeans; other - Jillibean Soup: coordinating cardstock stickers, pea pod parts; paper clip, mist; tools - star punch, flower punch.

I really love these new longer and skinnier alphabeans from Jillibean Soup.  They remind me of the long colourful lines that my son drew on our pathway and so I thought they were perfect for this layout!

Don't forget to head on over to the Jillibean Soup blog to check out what the other fabulous DT members have created this month!

Thanks for visiting..x

I want to blog...

I really do!  LOL!!  I am just so bogged down in paper and glue dots and scrap paper and winter woollies!  HA!! AND I am freaking out!!  I have seen the weather report today for the ski fields...shock!  Horror!!  It is actually snowing!  Big time.  We. Are. Going. To. FREEZE!  LOL!  Whose idea was it to going camping in the mountains during Winter???  (possibly mine....)  :D

But besides all of that...I am still really excited.  And so are the kids.  Including the other big, adult kids in our group!!  Now we just need to stay healthy and avoid any more flu bugs...

And because I want to share and because I can't share in full...just yet...  Here's a little sneak:

Thanks for visiting.  Hopefully I'll have something worth blogging about soon.... hee hee...x

Golf buddies...

Last week-end was a total "boys & their toys" experience! LOL! Not only did our family spend the afternoon pretending we were golfers (as opposed to hacks!...) but Mark also took the boys (minus Cameron) fishing. Yep. It seems they're hooked on the idea of catching fish..... *yikes* Sorry about the pun!! LOL!

Tahlia and I didn't really want to spend the day at the lake. So we sent them on their way. Happily! LOL!! Unfortunately there are NO photos. It seems they were too busy catching....uuummmm.... how many fish was that??? Oh sorry. None. hee hee!!!!

But we did go golfing. I really enjoyed it. When I hit the ball nicely. LOL! Not so much when I missed it completely! HA!!!

I really hope for everyone else's sake and safety, Liam is not looking for a missing ball in that direction!!!

He really got into it. Shame he missed the ball on this shot! hee hee... Sorry. That was a practice swing!

And now it seems the week-end is here again. That week sure went fast! No plans yet as for what we might do tomorrow and or Sunday. :)

I hope you all have a wonderful week-end. I want to get some scrapping done.... :) And since I have nothing to share today, scrap-wise, I'll leave you with this little sneak..... for now....

.......

Thanks for visiting...x

Friday, November 26, 2010

*sigh*...

I want to post...I really do!! LOL!! BUT I am really bogged down at the moment.... 2 Rock Eisteddfod nights, 6 hour full dress ballet rehearsal - take photos and help one million 3-4 year olds get dressed for it (even though my dd is 10!), school swimming carnival, 2 gold pass days (reward for kids at school who can manage their own behaviour) going to 2 different water parks!, birthdays, deadlines!!!!, and not to mention the impending holiday season!! LOL!! So you see, I want to post...I really do.

But for now can I share some sneaky peeks?...

Mmmmm! Crate Paper! :)

More photos to come.....x
