Essie Marshmallow and Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air

I swear Essie Marshmallow hates me. It seems like everyone else has good fortune with this color, but it just looks horribly streaky and puffy on me! Even the application has something against me - I can't apply this without having to redo at least one nail. Oh well. It doesn't even look that good on my hands so I'm not sure why I bother! Here is Essie Marshmallow, 4 or 5 coats:

Then I added Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air over it and waited for it to dry. When it did I added another coat of Marshmallow - I wanted the glitter to be milky :)

Thanks for looking!

My Top 10

Good morning! Today I wanted to share my top ten favorite polishes in my collection. I think I've posted manicures of most of these, but if you want some swatches of any of them feel free to let me know!

First up is my cremes. From left to right: Essie Lapis of Luxury, OPI Do You Lilac It?, Maybelline Banana Puddin' and Rimmel Steel Grey. The only one of these that is hard for me to apply is Banana Puddin', which is a bummer because I love the color so much!
My favorite glitter. Those of you who read this blog should have been able to guess this! Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air. I love how sheer it is and how I can layer it over any other color.
My duochromes! OPI La Boheme and Liquid Euphoria Dreamy. I honestly can't pick which one of these I like more... they're both so cute!
And finally, my favorites, my holos! OPI My Private Jet, OPI DS Shimmer and OPI DS Original. I love how OPI does their holographics, I wish they would make more! I spent a very long time tracking down My Private Jet so I didn't have to pay eBay prices, and I'm so glad I did!
Hope you enjoyed! I'll post another one of these when my stash grows. It will be fun to look back at this and see how my tastes have changed (if they have!). See you guys soon!

Super Nubz and more Glitter in the Air

Hey guys! I was really close to not writing a post today. I have a science test tomorrow which I've been studying for a lot, I've been in a really weird mood all day long, and I decided today would be the day to go back to rocking the super nubbins. I start violin again next Monday (my teacher went to London to play for the royal wedding!) so I have to get back into the groove of things and start practicing again. Immediately after I cut them I regretted it.... goodbye regular-length nails that normal people have! Hello nails that look like they've been chewed by a pack of wild hyenas :(

So I did another Glitter in the Air manicure today. I've gotta say, this has to be one of my favorite polishes! I love how sheer it is because I can switch it up and put it over any base color I want. I put it over a skin-toned franken I made myself to suit my skin tone. I think its super cute!

Tomorrow I'm planning on posting stash pictures and my top ten favorites in my stash... stay tuned! :)

Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air

Hey guys! This is my nail of the day, a la Chloe's Nails. I didn't know what to layer Glitter in the Air over, so I just did what she did - put on a layer of Sally Hansen Blue-Away and a couple coats of Glitter in the Air on top :) I love this combo! I've never really liked any of Deborah Lippmann's glitters, but this one I love! On its own it is a sheer, pale blue with pink and darker blue fine glitter and hexagonal glitter. Pretty!

On a separate note, I got my light box today! Now there won't be weird discrepancies between pictures, and my hands won't look as red (hopefully). I'm still tweaking with it to see which is the most flattering and makes the colors truest to life, but I think the quality of my pictures will improve a lot. Let me know what you think of the new lighting in the comments!
