Doggie Monday

It's been an uneventful week of no more destruction from my little beagle boy. Just the usual:

More Yogurt Containers
In the olden days, I used to finish one of these off & hand it to Bingo.
Now I have to wait til I've eaten THREE so that each dog has one!
 Here's Buddy with his:

Those ears!

Reggie outside with his waiting for him:

For more dog chewing.

Hours of entertainment!
 Sleepy girl:

Will wake for belly rubs:

Back to yogurt container entertainment:

Inside . . .
 . . . and outside:

Happy boy Reggie.

Buddy eating Reggie's food!

Zzzzzz . . .

Bully Sticks!
Mari reminded me of bully sticks, so I ordered some. The dogs LOVE these, but oh do they smell. "Here, guys! Take your bully sticks & go outside."  Here they are:

Reggie takes his chewing-eating things outside, tho.
 RoRo Vizzie

Hullo.

On The Sofa

Here he is, sitting like a cat, with legs curled under:

On The Recliner

Fun With Chiro-Sis

*smooch*
 Roo-Roo!
This is hysterical. I'm in another room & I hear a "help me" Roo-Roo from Buddy.
I come to see what's going on, and this:
"Help me get the cat food I'm not supposed to eat."

Roo-roo!
And that's been our week. I finally caught Buddy at the beginning of a leg lift & yelled, "Hey!" Down went the leg and I escorted him outside. "Big beagle boys go outside, Buddy."  Speaking of being outside, he's usually pretty good about coming when I call him. Except when he knows I'm leaving. So I'll call the dogs to come in and he hangs back and won't come in. Unlike any of my other dogs, I can pick this one up. So I do, which he doesn't like and finds undignified. But then as I'm holding him, he leans his head on my shoulder. Ah, heart melt.

One last photo. Here's Bingo hanging out on the back porch in one of her spots. And Reggie:

HAPPY Monday!  :-)

Doggie Monday

Well, some excitement at the little lake house, but first:

RoRo Vizzie
Hey, Bingo! Wet's go down to the wake!
Translation: Hey Bingo! LET'S go down to the LAKE!

Rowan unlocking the gate.

Tabby

See Tabby thru the gate?
This was Bailey's squirrel that Reggie sneaked out to the yard & left in the RAIN:

Saturday, Chiro-sis came over to help me move furniture around. She let Rowan water the plants out front. Of course he got all wet!

Sunday after church:
Belly rubs!

Bingo modeling the new rug in the living room, which used to be in my bedroom.

More belly rubs!

Reggie watching all the action thru the cat door.
So, funny story. See this Teddy bear?

I found it out in the back yard, very dirty. I thought it was Bailey's, so I put it with her stuff. Bailey's dad said, "What's this?"
Me: It's Bailey's toy. It was in the yard.
He: That's not hers. I thought it was yours.
Me: No, I thought it was hers. Who's is it?

It's a mystery. Well. I had it on the cedar chest and when Rowan came over, he saw it and said with horror and a slight ring to his voice, "IS THAT MY TEDDY BEAR? WHAT HAPPENED TO IT? WHY IS IT ALL DIRTY?!!!"

Mystery solved.

So I put it in the washing machine and it is mostly-clean(er) now.

My New Buddy
This is the best wrong number call ever! A couple other people had my phone number before I got it &I get calls for them every once in a while. So I got a call on Saturday morning from a gal named Caroline looking for Julie to see if she'd be interested in taking in a rescued beagle. She told me that she had picked the dog up on a back road in the rain. He had no collar, and was very timid. She said that his behaviour led her to think he may have been mistreated, since he would cower or flinch with sudden movements. She named him Gus and was working on finding a home for him since she lived in an apartment.

I said I wasn't Julie, but my friend Mari was in rescue with AARF. Well, one thing led to another, and this:

Bingo says hullo to Gus. He's SO CUTE I can barely stand it!

And then Reggie says hullo.

When Chiro-sis saw him she said, "Oh. I see he's intact."
Rowan: "What's intact?"
Us: "Nothing."
Really, that would've been a great conversation; but I wanna get it on video. Ha.

When Bingo & Reggie headed into the living room, Gus followed after them!

From there on out it was waggy tails all around.

Reggie is so small  to me, but this little guy is LITTLE.
Play bow to Reggie.

At the watering hole with Bingo.
Getting sleeeeeeepy.

Hullo.
Based on his colouring, I'm thinking he's a beagle mixed with coonhound?

I popped over to Chiro-sis for an adjustment. I had joked with her that I would call him Sniffy, so he could be Snuffy's cousin. Snuffy is John Morgan's beagle.

Here's Ro meeting the little guy:

Chillaxin'.
He jumped right up there with Ro.
Zzzzzz . . . .
As I was at my computer Sunday afternoon, here comes my little Buddy:
Zzzzzz . . . .
So I'm fostering him until I can find a home for him. Allegedly. Reggie is already excited to have a new friend.  Rita came over last night and fell in love. Of course. She said I can't give him up. He is a cutie pie. I guess that wasn't a wrong number after all!
