I am so happy to finally post our exciting news...we are having a baby. I am thirteen weeks along and due on April 3rd. I have been holding out on blogging about it until we heard the baby's heartbeat. We went to the doctors yesterday and she found the heartbeat right away - she said our baby was very cooperative! I have been VERY lucky in the morning sickness department; just a little nausea that was corrected by eating small, frequent meals - no vomiting! Unfortunately, I have been SUPER tired and my night schedule at works only makes it worse. The timing works out great with the amount of maternity leave I will have - it will carry us through to the time Eric graduates. But it is going to be a bit crazy with having a baby, graduating dental school, moving and starting a new job. Oh well - a little craziness should be fun!
We told out parents when we were about 9 1/2 weeks along. My parents were coming to town - so we made a poster with ribbons and balloons to go on Rocco with the big news. Rocco wasn't so thrilled about the idea and he wiggled his way out of the get up right before my parents came to the door. It didn't really work out as planned but they still got it!
