Silhouette Challenges #21 "3d Item For Craft Room"

Good Morning!

It's time for another challenge over at Silhouette Challenges. This month is
(3D Item for your Craft Room).

ADD YOUR INFO AND PIC HERE

Now onto the Challenge Info.

Ch# 21 "3D item for your Craft Room"
Begins: Sunday, Feb 1
Ends: Saturday, Feb 28

A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

So onto my project or projects I should say, a lot of you will know that I have been making things for my craft room all from just one stack of paper pad so I continued the theme.

Firstly I made this handy little box to store my sketch pens in, I actually need to make another one as I have more pens than this one holds. So I used a file by Jamie Cripps #46244 3d Sketch Pen Holder in the Silhouette Store.

Here are a couple of views to show just how little room it takes up. Excuse the wonky letters I did fix them after seeing the photo.

Next I made this 3d Ribbon Holder Cards & Box #45600 by Jamie Cripps also from the Silhouette Store. My intention with this was to make one box for each colour family in the hope that I could just take out a box and perhaps get through my never ending supply of ribbon BUT as you will see in the next photo I quite simply have too much ribbon.
This is just one of my drawers of ribbon I still have those odd rolls in this drawer to change to the card system plus another whole drawer to sort through.

What I did do using my Promarkers & Flexmarkers was to colour the top of the cards with the pen that matched the ribbon, as this is what takes me the longest to decide and then I get fed up and put them away again lol.

Whilst sorting my ribbons I also decided to make these Bakers Twine Bobbins #60905 by Sweet Afton. I cut them in a heavy 300gsm white card stock first and then in a colour similar to them and then stuck these together, this gave them strength. I did this so that I could easily see which I wanted to use but could write on the back the colour name and manufacturer. At the moment I have them on this piece of cord while I am awaiting my lovely hubby to retrieve me a large book ring from the garage which is currently iced up with a heap of snow in front of it.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill & Limetree Crafts
Designer Paper - Colour Box from years ago.
Die Cuts - As shown with each photo.

So Silhouette Challenges is celebrating.

We are on Day 1!

There are only a few stops on this hop each day, and you are going to love the projects you see.

I am the third stop.
To start at the beginning Click HERE

I decided on this 3d style of card and although it is 3d it will still fit in a normal envelope. My card measures 5" x 7" and the card base was created using Samantha Walker Pop Up Flowers #42258 and the big flower was made using Jamie Cripps Double Inpatiens Flower #56551 but it didn't turn out quite like it should lol. I think the problem was I used white card stock and inked it but that made it loose some of it's stiffness and I then couldn't shape it very well. The card stock is all Bazzill and the pearl is from my stash.

Silhouette 25-Pack Chipboard

Good morning all, own up who stole my post? It was all written and scheduled, this morning it hadn't posted and was completely gone!

Anyhow here is what I created for the challenge of 'Faux Stitching', stitching is something that can be done in a couple of different ways either like I did with cutting the stitches or by using a pen and drawing the stitches. This card was super quick to make in fact I made it in under ten minutes the time my daughter in law had to get it in the post for her nephew whose birthday she had forgotten lol. The white layer is popped up with one balloon cut out to reveal the blue one below. The other balloons are a deep red and the belated is actually brown but the sheen on it doesn't help.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Dovercraft & Bazzill

Challenges I would like to enter:-
To be edited as I can't remember the ones I did add.

Crafty Calendar 'Love Is All Around' Challenge

Good morning everyone, how are we all this morning? Can you believe it is the 1st February already where is the time going. I am hoping Mr Blogger is still playing nicely as although I am now home from visiting my beautiful granddaughter I had a hospital appointment at 9 am this morning so had to schedule this post. Can you believe I am seeing a neurology consultant on a Saturday morning at an NHS hospital, well I am and hoping he can give me some answers to my fingers that don't want to do as they need to just lately. Watch this space for the outcome and probably what wonderful tests I need to have!

Ok so this month at Crafty Calendar Challenge we are challenged to 'Love Is All Around', nice and easy eh. We have a wonderful sponsor this month in Hannah Lynn but after my disaster with colouring this week I was not even going to attempt one of these images.

So I went with another (I know you are all bored of my Cameo only cards, I am too but needs must at the moment) card made on my Silhouette Cameo, it was sized at 4.25" x 5.5" but I altered it to make it 5" x 5.5".  I think this one came out really nice for a special moment card. It was made with a file from the Silhouette Store, you know I look at these cards after I have made them and think I could of designed that myself but I have a subscription and plenty of credits so all is good lol.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Ribbon - Stash
Gems - 5mm & 4mm by Craft Gems
Sentiment - Birthday Sentiments by Paper Pretties

Well that is all, have a good weekend and stay safe and warm.

Tis The Season Blog Hop Day 1

If you came here looking for my My Time To Craft post you will find it HERE.
Welcome to our
We are on Day 1!
There are only a few stops on this hop each day, and you are going to love the projects you see.
I am the fifth stop but just in case you have come here first and want to complete the hop
Here is the entire list of stops for day 1:
Okay onto my project for today where I made two things. Firstly I needed a gift box for one of the presents I have brought for one of my grandchildren and went with this Santa's Chimney Box. I made it at the size it came in the file and it is a really good size, it measures 4" square and about 3.5" tall.
Here it is closed
Here it is open without the lid.
 Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Die Cuts - 3d Chimney Box #51814 - Snapdragon Snippets
For my second project I just couldn't resist making this lantern. It can be used as a box or as a lantern as I have it. I am not sure where I will go it yet but as the colours go with my lounge and it might end up there. I added a battery lamp, some gems and liquid pearls to the outside. The acetate does have snowdrops on it but as most were covered by the snowflakes I added some with liquid pearls. I added this bow as an after thought but not sure I like it so may take it off.
This is the front which I tried to take in the dark to show the lamp glowing but my flash keeps going off even when not turned on!
This is a side view which doesn't show it at it's best lol.
Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Die Cuts - 3d Decorative Snowflake Lantern Box #51738 Jamie Cripps
Gems - Boyes
Acetate - Let's Create
Liquid Pearls - Natalie & Amy's
Now hop on over to Millie to see what fabulous craftiness is on offer for your enjoyment.
Some of them are offering candy as well.
Be sure to read their requirements to be eligible as they may all be different.
Thank you for hopping with us!!!!

Silhouette Challenges 'Faux Stitching' Challenge

It's the 8th of the month so that means it is my time to join in. It always begins on the 1st of every month and is time
for another Challenge over at

A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

Ch# 3 Faux Stitching
Begins: Monday, July 1
Ends: Wednesday, July 31

Sponsors this month are:
Prize: $10.00 GC

Digi Pack (Winner's Choice)

Wow what a gorgeous day it has been again here in the UK and it is apparently going to get even hotter so make the most of it as it is sure not to last!

Ok so for this month's challenge I actually made two things again, I have made two different boxes. I made the first one but didn't think you could see the stitching very well so made another!

For this one I used the 3d Semi Circle Box by Samantha Walker (number below in supplies list), some Basic Grey Christmas papers called 'Nordic Holiday' and because they said Christmas papers I made a Christmas tag but now the box is made I think this could be used for several occasions as the paper isn't really Christmassy is it. I did the stitching by adding an internal offset and then changing the line stroke to the smallest stitch, changed out my blade and inserted the sketch pen and drew them in after cutting but before unloading my cutting mat. I love the sketch facility on the cameo but you can also get great results using print and cut. As long as you use the Silhouette Cameo in some way you can enter the prize draw.

This is the box closed up.

Here it is open

Showing off the stitching in case you can't see it in the other photo's

Tag back made using a Lori Whitlock file and the wording designed by myself and written with the sketch pen again.

Here is the front of it

This is my second box which I absolutely love and will now have to make another of for my other dog at Christmas time. This was made using the 3d Woof Box file by Jamie Cripps. I added the faux stitching again with the sketch pen, on the bone and the name I did an internal offset and changed it to the smallest stitch. Unfortunately I could not get the pen to show up on the wording very well, they are glitter pens so it is not very easy.

Supplies:-
Card Stock - Bazzill
Sketching Marker - Silhouette Glitter Markers

Challenges I would like to enter this into:-
Basic Grey - No Stamped Images
One Stop Crafts - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by.
