CCM gone 3D!

I used the first set of CCM digi that I brought and fell in love with. This is the Spring is here set. It's available in both digital stamps and clip arts (in this case, it would be perfect for this card, just cut it out and go... no coloring necessary!)

For the background, I airbrushed it with Copic markers: sky (B23, B45) and grass (YG17, YG97) and I also colored all the images with Copics too.

I hope you like it and have a wonderful day!

Pop-up 101!

Happy Saturday! Hope you are having a great weekend. Here is my Softpencil pop-card which I made a few months ago. And I had promised a few wonderful ladies that I'll create a template/tutorial for a pop-up card. So here it's.

What you need:
ruler
pencil
xacto knife
bone folder

My card measures 4"x4", so you will need to cut a piece of card stock 4"x8".

First, measure half way up from the bottom (which is 4") and draw a line horizonally .
Then measure 1/2" from each side.
From the middle "center" line, measure 1" above, 1" below, and 1" below again. (please see below picture), then you can create this box.

Using your xacto knife, cut the two vertical lines (in pencil) only.
Then score only the COLORED horizontal lines (in blue and little 1/2" red lines, NOT the pencil one).
See below picture, your card it POP! Use the back side for your creations.

Now, it's completely up to you. Add your favorite images, design papers, and have a blast.
I hope this mini-tutorial make sense, if you have any questions, feel free to send me an email.
Happy Stamping! Smiley from millan.net

Softpencil Thursday

Good day, it's Softpencil Thursday. For this week, the DT got a chance to play with this beautiful winter scene, it's called Snowy Day. It's so pretty, little snow flakes falling... Honestly, I'm so not ready for winter. We didn't have much of a summer this year, but either way.. it's coming! I noticed that the trees are starting to turn color!

Anyways, for this challenge, we have to make a pop-up card, I didn't want to make the same pop-up card as before. So, I decided to try something different. I used the chisel tip of my copic markers to create the background, colored the rest of the images, added some bling with spica pens, and I also used Tim Holtz distress stickles rock candy for the snow and the crackle paint (rock candy) for the roof.
Here is a closer look. Hope you like it.

Just a reminder...

Join us for our weekly challenges on PCP, check here for detail!!! Plus, you will have a chance to win free digi(s).

Softpencil Thursday!

Happy Thursday! I love this image from Softpencil, it's called House Collection Set 2. I fell in love with this image when I first discovered Softpencil. I have been thinking... it would make a very fun pop-up card. And to the wonderful surprise, the DT had picked this image for this week's special... Yay!!! So excited! It's time...
I kept it simple... I airbrushed the background with Copic Markers, cut out and colored all the images, added the punched out little cute flowers (I used a $1 mini-flower punch, hehe!). I also added little shine and sparkles by using Spica pens and red Smooch.
Hope you like it, and please stop by other DT gals' and guest designers' blog!
Have a wonderful day!
