A field of funky awesome flowers!

Hello hello and happy Friday.
I'm super excited to share a card that I created for 7 Kids College Fund.
I'm using the Caravelle Studio Cling Stamps called Strips & Lantern's Stemss.  When I first saw this stamp set, I was in love with the beautiful funky flower stems.  Immediately I wanted to create a field of funky flowers.

And I did just that!   I started by creating the background with Tim Holtz distress paint in broken china, crushed olive, moved lawn, and salty ocean.

Then I added more colors by using the distress ink pad (using the same colors).  Then I stamped the beautiful lantern stems with Archival ink jet black.

And I also stamped the flower strips stamps using Archival ink in Garden Patina randomly on the bottom half of the card to create some interest.  Then, I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink in gathered twigs and seedless preserves.  I also added some butterflies by using Picket Fence distress ink pad & a blending tool from a stencil.  Next, I added some details by using a white gel pen and colored in some of the flowers.  I also added some Festive Fall Sequins mix along with some blings, and finished it up with splatter effects by using Prima color bloom mist in sunshine and lime wedge.

Art Impressions Mixed Media style!

Hello hello and happy Monday!
I'm sharing a mixed media project with you today using one of super cool Try Folds called
Messy House (SKU# 4452) .

I started with a plain white canvas.  I colored it up some colorful gelato, then continue with adding more using some stencils with embossing paste and acrylic paint.  For the black and white dots are created by using a paint brush and splatter over.  And the big circles, I used the cap of the embossing paste.

To finish the canvas.  I colored the Messy House images with Tombow markers, then adhered to the canvas with matte medium, and then secured it with some washi paper tape.  To finish it, I added some bright gelato to match.

Faber Castell Gelatos:  Coconut, licorice, watermelon, strawberry, elderberry, kiwi
Tombow markers:  673, 062, 451, 491, 990, 942, 133, N45, N65, N89, N95

Having a little fun....

Hello hello...  how's going?

As you know...  I'm a newbie in mixed media and I'm having lots of fun... Or though, quite often (okay, maybe all the time, hehe!) I'm totally lost but I still love it.  So, with the said, I found out this super cool class called Creative Jumpstart.  The class is super cool, there are many many amazing mixed media teachers, and each of the teacher teach us amazing fun and awesome techniques.  I was checking out all the classes and one of the talented teacher is Anna (aka Finnabair), you can check out her stunning work here and here.  I was totally drooling over all her creations.

I decided to give it a world and try it out...  I used a couple of stencils (face and the background), for her hair and the green leaves, I colored with Luminate Silks, and for the green flowers, I misted them with Luminate radiant rain mist

And there is a twist!  Each of our projects need to use household items.   As for me...
I used 2 bottle caps (from my friend's beer bottle, haha!)

Well, I have lots of fun creating and getting my fingers inky.  :)

Then, I finished it with these awesome pumpkin brads and ribbon from Eyelet Outlet, so so fun!!!

Relaxation... canvas fun!

Hello hello my friends, I hope you had a great holiday weekend!  I had a long weekend...woohoo!  So happy and got some major relaxation, it's very much needed, hehe!   And I even got to hang out with my crafty friends too.  We went shopping at our local scrapbooking store and brought a bunch of new goodies!!!  Plus, one of my good friend Karen who totally inspired me to create a canvas (She creates beautiful projects, you can check out her blog, HERE!).  So, I did.  Thanks Karen!!!

For my canvas, I created the background using Pan Pastel, the beautiful fence is a stencil from Prima using acyclic paint, the fun lawn is created by using Dylusions stamp set and then colored with neocolor II crayons.  And the Prima girl was colored with neocolor II crayons and Faber Castell aquaelle watercolor pencils and adhered on using matte medium.   And I finished it up with some stickles.  Viola!!!

Off I go, blog you later.... I'm making another canvas, will show you when I finish with it.  From Millan.Net

Hello Ms. Garcia!

Hello hello!  I know the summer is not over yet...
And yes, I don't want to be over yet either.  But how can you say 'no' to this adorable teacher?!
This is Ms. Garcia from the Sushi Dolls August release Back to School collection.
Isn't she so so cute?

So, I decided to make a tag instead of a card.  To create the background, I used a 6x6 template mini numbers stencil from Balzer designs and dabbed with Ranger white acyclic paint.  Once dried, I used a blending tool and added some colors with distress ink in spun sugar, worn lipstick, and picked raspberry.  I colored Ms. Garcia with copic markers, I added glossy accent on her glasses and yellow stickles on her big star.  To finished the tag, I added a border, decorative tape, a sentiment, and some twine.  Viola!

Hop over to the Sushi Dolls blog and shop to check out the Back to School collection...
Plus, they have a lot more super fun digi's.

Sister Stamps release #16 - Day 2

Hello and happy Tuesday, I hope you had lots of fun yesterday and
have a chance to check out this adorable new release from Sister Stamps!
If no, click HERE!

Well, welcome back to Day 2!!!

Since, it's Day 2... I have two projects for you today.

For the first project, I used the Octopus set and the turtle set.
I colored the Sea Creatures with Copic markers, I also created a 'sea weed' background using a stencil and distress ink pad.  I then added a frame from Spellbinders, gorgeous pattern paper from Atlantic collection from Studio Calico, a ribbon, some natural twine from Timeless Twine, and an anchor.

And for the second project, I used the turtle set.
I picked out a 'door sign' from a craft store.  Then I added on gesso and Viva Decor 3D stamp-paint & Inka Gold to create a texture background.  I used the Time Holtz Sizzix die wordplay to cut out the word 'friends' with card board and inked them Inka Gold paint.  For the adorable turtle, I colored them with Copic markers and adhered on with foam dots.

Well, that's it for me today!  And don't forget to check out the Sister Stamps' blog
and check out the other amazing DT ladies too!

See you tomorrow for DAY 3!!!

Happy Saturday!

Hello hello and hope you are having a fabulous weekend!  It's beautiful in my neck of the woods...
And our outdoor furniture is out, I sat on my deck, enjoyed the beautiful day, and craft the day away!
Life sure is GOOD!

Anyways, I recently found out about these Sushi Doll, they are so so cool and super cute!
Both of these images are from the Dia de los Muertos collection.

Here is the first card, I used Choco, isn't she awesome?  I'm not a morning person... so this is totally perfect!  I thought it would be fun to have 2 Choco.  I kept the card simple.  I colored Choco with copic markers and added a wooden veneer sentiment 'daydream' and some twine.

And the second project, I did a little bit of paper piecing with Glasses (her dress).  I started to color image with Copic markers, and her paper pieced dress is created by printing another image and stamped with a background stamp (for some silly reason,  I never figure out which side of paper I have to put the pattern paper in the printer, haha).  Since, I have been dying to do something other than a card and mixed media-ish...  got to get my finger inky.  So, I got a wood plaque from the craft store and gone bananas.   First, I painted the plaque with white acyclic paint, covered most of it with my beloved washi tape, added more colors and texture with Faber Castell gelatos and Viva 3D stamp paint, and added a bit more decorations.

Well, I hope you like them and thanks so much for stopping by.

Flowers, flowers, and more flowers...

Hello hello, April has come and gone, now May is here... Time to bring on the flowers!
I had so much fun working the paper flowers from Eyelet Outlet a while back, I decided to create a couple more projects.

First up, a wooden picture frame. I brought a $1 wooden frame with Michaels...  covered it with Golden crackle paint, then paint in white, distressed it with black Faber Castell gelato, stenciled...
And decorated the frame with  pearl bling stripsgreen checked paper flowers, and 12mm pewter pearl brads and Memory Box lavish brunch dies.

To create the 3D flowers, I used at least 3 flowers (different sizes),  first I distressed the edges with distressed ink pad in black soot, added the center brad to secure... then I sprayed flowers with perfect pearl mist until the flowers are sufficient soaked, then I shaped until desired.

Supplies:  Pearl bling strips, green checked paper flowers, 12mm pewter pearls brads,
wooden frame, Golden crackle paint, white paint, Faber Castell black gelato, TCW 'Art is' stencil,
Ranger perfect pearl mist and black soot distress ink pad, Prima flowers, Memory Box Lavish Brunch, and silver glitter card stock.

And how about a card?  Here is a simple cardI using this beautiful Pink/Dots paper flowers and clear 12mm stippled brads, and clear 8mm stippled brads.  I distressed the flowers and shaped them with the McGill flower shaped tools.

Supplies:  Pink/Dots paper flowers, 12mm stippled brads, 8mm stippled brads
white Prima leaves, Heidi Swapp color shine Chartreuse, Ranger peeled paint distress, worn lipstick, and picked raspberry ink pad, Cuttlebug paper lace II embossing folder, sentiment from Paper Smooches Chit Chat stamp set.

Hope you like it and blog you later!  Hugs!

TGIF...

Hello hello and TGIF!  Are you ready for the weekend?  I sure am... Not sure what I do yet?  Maybe just being a coach potato and craft all day... hehe!  Well, I was totally in the mood for a little of mixed media action, but I kind of want to make a card too!  So, I took out my Dylusions ink pad, Heidi Swapp color shine, Faber Castell gelatos, stencils, and create away... And viola!

I used this gorgeous stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps, it's from the Ching Chou Kuik's collection called the Serene Night.  So so pretty, love her!  I also decided to play along the Sweet Pea Stamps One Sweet Challenge, this month's theme is see some spring colors.

Hope you like it and have a great day!
