Hugs and Kisses

Howdy Peeps!  Hope your week is going well.  Now that Thanksgiving is over {and Christmas with my side of the family}, I can get some serious crafting time in again.  Today I wanted to share a quick card I made with the super cute Happy Heart Day Appetizer set by Gourmet Rubber Stamps.  The cute paper and sticker inside the flower are both from Echo Park.

I added another sticker from Echo Park for the inside of the card.  Just a sweet little surprise when you open up the card.

I have TONS of Christmas fun planned here on my blog for the upcoming weeks...it's going to be quite a celebration so check back this Saturday for all the details!

New Appetizers from Gourmet Rubber Stamps

Today it's time for another fun release for Gourmet Rubber Stamps!   I am TOTALLY IN LOVE with both new Appetizer sets this month!  The first one I'm showing is called Happy Heart Day.  Although it's perfect for Valentine's Day projects...I think it would also be fun to make cards for weddings and anniversaries using this set.

Next up is another great set called Peace & Love Flowers!  The images in this set are so chic and have a great Indi look to them which is totally trending right now!

You'll find both new sets over on the GRS Blog & then you'll want to see all of the great projects from the GRS designers:

GRS...Sketch Challenge Time!

Today it's time for the monthly DT Sketch Challenge with Gourmet Rubber Stamps and here's the sketch...

I've got a fun little peek-a-boo card to share for this challenge using the adorable little penguin from the Holiday Season Sampler.  Don't you just LOVE HIM?  I also used the snowflake swirl background from the Made of Snow set and used VersaMark inks by Tsukineko to stamp it.  I colored the penguins with my Copics and Atyou Spica glitter pens.  Then I used Daiquiri Ice Sparkly Fluff and/or Glitter to add some bling to the penguins scarves and finished the card with a bit of May Arts ribbon & silver cord.

There are lots of other cute cards from the GRS designers today ~ take a peek...

Gingerbread Treats

I have a question...WHERE DID OCTOBER GO?  I can't believe how fast this fall has gone.  I know I've been a very bad blogger these past few weeks, but marching band is almost done & life will slow down just a bit.  I haven't stamped much lately, but I've been working on lots of crafty projects for the band.  I'll have pictures to share next week of all the fun stuff we have created over the past 6 weeks.

Today I do have a project to share that I made a few weeks ago using Gingerbread Greetings by Gourmet Rubber Stamps and I have to admit that I really LOVE IT!  I also used the Chevron Stripe Coverall image as a background for my treat box and stamped everything with Memento Ink & colored with Copics.   All of the shapes are cut with Spellbinders Dies, the paper is from the Simple Stories Christmas Collection, the gems are from Kaiser, and the ribbon and twine are from May Arts.

Have a great weekend & wish us good luck at the ISSMA Marching Band State Finals!!!!
I'll have a full report next week!

Simple Christmas

Howdy Peeps!  Sorry I'm such a bad blogger these last few weeks.  As I've said before, it's marching band season and life is seriously CRAZY for me!   BUT ... I love it and wouldn't change a thing.  These precious times with my kids will come to an end before I know it & I don't want to miss a single second!

Today I have a super simple card to share.  I embossed the snowflake from the Made of Snow Appetizer set with white pigment ink and white embossing powder.  Then I added the sentiment from the Holiday Season Sampler set & just stamped it in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink.  For a little bling to finish it off, I added some Frosted Lace Stickles to the snowflakes.  It's kind of hard to see them in the photograph, but they look great in real life!  And finally, I added the big gigantic ribbon which is from May Arts.

Have a HAPPY weekend!

GRS Appetizer Release Day!

Welcome to a Wonderful Monday filled with lots of fun new treats from Gourmet Rubber Stamps!  Since it's the 15th of the month, that means it's time for two new Appetizer sets.  One is called Gingerbread Greetings and the other is Made of Snow ~ which I have a sample for today.

I decided it was time to have a few Chill Pills available for the busy holiday season coming up and thought this new snowman was the perfect little guy to deliver them!  For the sentiment, I just printed it out on my computer on cardstock and then punched it out.  I stamped the background on the tag and the sentiment with the pretty snowflake swirl in the set using Summer Sky Blue Memento Ink.   I used some pretty papers from Echo Park and added trims from May Arts and some glittery jingle bells & twine for a few of the finishing touches.

You'll find both new sets over on the GRS Blog & then you'll want to see all of the great projects from the GRS designers:

Sketch Time with Gourmet Rubber Stamps

Today the Gourmet Rubber Stamps team is playing with a new sketch & I finally pulled out some Christmas supplies to make a card ... Yes, it was hard for me to do because I'm just not ready for the holiday season to come.  This cute tree and sentiment are part of the new Holiday Sampler Diners set that has images for the entire fall/winter season.  In addition, i{heart}papers has a special custom set of only the Christmas/winter images ~ Holiday Season Sampler.  I stamped the image in Rich Cocoa Memento ink and the papers are from the new Simple Stories Christmas Collection.  I also used some embossing folders from Lifestyle Crafts and Cherry Divine Twine.

You'll find the sketch on the GRS Blog & then you'll want to see all of the great projects from the GRS designers:

Gourmet Rubber Stamps ~ New Diners Set

Happy Monday...Whew...what a busy weekend it was!  Fall is upon us and the weather in Northern Indiana was PERFECT this weekend ~ beautiful sunshine with the temps in the 70's.  To go with the perfect fall theme, I have a pretty fall card using the new Holiday Sampler Diners set by Gourmet Rubber Stamps.  I used a piece of pretty pattern paper by Farm House Paper Company as the base of my card.  The printing and leaves were already printed.  Then I used my Rich Cocoa ink by Memento.

On the inside of my card, I used the fabulous textured pumpkin by stamping the image with Rich Cocoa Memento ink on some solid rust colored cardstock.  Then I used the Happy Harvest sentiment from the Happy Harvest stamp set.

I know you'll want to see the whole set, so click on the GRS Blog to see the yummy new images.  Then visit the other designers blogs to see what holiday fun they came up with!

Fireworks Thank You!

I love seasonal sets ~ however, it's also fun to figure out ways to use those seasonal sets for other occasions.  For example, I used the great fireworks images from the Happy Independence set by Gourmet Rubber Stamps for flowers on my thank you card below.  I embossed them in white pigment ink with white embossing powder on colored cardstock then popped them up with foam dots.  Then I machine stitched the stems and added gems for the flower centers.  For the sentiment I used the Big Thank You single and again embossed it with white and embossing powder because I wanted it to pop off the card.

Thanks for buzzing by today!

GRS Weekly Recipe

Each Friday on the Gourmet Rubber Stamps blog, we have a new Weekly Recipe sketch.  Last Friday, it was my turn to host & this was my sketch.

I decided to use the Invite to Fright stamp set on this super easy sketch and then add the frame & popped up pumpkin in the open space.   Also, when before I stamped the sentiment, I inked the bat in black & left the sentiment in orange Memento ink so it would stand out.

Play along and add your link to the GRS Facebook page so we can ohhh and ahhhh about it!

Star Students Have CLASS!

School bells are ringing all over the U.S. now and it's time to encourage our students with little notes and hugs throughout the year.  It doesn't matter if they are in Kindergarten or a senior in collage, they still need our encouragement & support!  So here's a fun file folder card I made that will be perfect for one of my kids in the next few weeks.  I used the new Old School set by Gourmet Rubber Stamps & stamped the image and sentiment with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.  The paper is from We R Memory Keepers ~ LOVE IT!

Have a great day & thanks for buzzing by!

Happy 1st Day of School!!!

It's August 22nd and the first day of school!  I'm a little sad because I wonder where in the world summer went; however, I'm happy to be back into a routine.  We had a beautiful morning at our house.  The kids got up on time, their bags were ready & clothes were selected.  I made each of them the breakfast requested & the weather was gorgeous for those annual 1st Day of School pictures.  It's just the way I wanted the morning to go.  Now I've got cookies in the oven for when they get home ~ a tradition I started when Megan started Kindergarten.

Here are a few of the pictures I took this morning ~ I can't wait to scrapbook them!  My beautiful daughter, Megan is beginning her Sophomore year as a 10th grader at Concord High School.  She had a wonderful year last year as a Freshman; however, she's very happy to know the high school routine this time around.  My handsome and constantly growing son, Matt, is a 7th grader and is now at Concord Jr. High.  Last year was a rough year and he is so excited to begin this year at a new school.  Here they are this morning ~ I can't believe they are about the same height!

Megan ~ 15 yrs old ~ Such a beauty {inside and out}

Matt ~ 13 yrs old ~ my handsome guy with a tender heart

OK...now that I've bragged on my kids for a few minutes, I'll share a card with you that just happens to be very appropriate for today's events...

I used the new Appetizer set called Old School by Gourmet Rubber Stamps.  This set is also available at i{heart}papers.  I also used some fun pattern paper from My Minds Eye called School Daze and ink by Mememto.

Ok...off to get lots done before 3pm!!!  Have a great day & thanks for buzzing by...

Up for a Challenge?

So happy you've buzzed by for a visit today...I didn't get a chance to play along on the OCL Challenge last week, so I'm sharing a card today.  The theme this week is "What Floats Your Boat? ~ or anything else that floats...

So I was looking through my stamps and decided NOT to pick a boat stamp ~ that's far too easy!  So as I came across one of my favorite sets ~ Love in the Air, I realized that hot air balloons float in the sky, so why not?  I matched up these great images with paper from the October Afternoon 9 to 5 Collection and pretty trims from May Arts.

All righty ~ that's it for me today.  Have a fabulous Monday!

Happy Times in Rome!

TGIF!!!  Are you ready for the week to be done?  I AM FOR SURE!!!!  I've been living with grumpy people all week and I'm ready to go to a happy place.  So today I have a fun page to share with you from a very HAPPY place ~ Rome! I absolutely LOVE that city & I WILL go back someday!

I used the new stamp set from Gourmet Rubber Stamps called Pack You Bags.  These images are also specially packaged as a smaller set at i{heart}papers called A Good Traveler.  THIS IS A HAPPY FAMILY!!!

I love this photo of us!  I used bits of paper and stickers from the Echo Park This & That collection for the paper piecing and embellishments.

For my travel albums, I use the Fast-Scrap approach and slide my photos into page protectors ~ it makes my life so much easier!  Then I just add bits of papers and embellishments to finish off the photos.

Here's the cool suitcase image that I paper pieced.

Seeing this page makes me want to go organize my album and scrapbook more of my trip photos ~ sounds like a good weekend project!

Star Student School Tag

Yesterday was release day for Gourmet Rubber Stamps and they came out with a fun new set called Old School.  Other than travel themed items, doing school  related projects are some of my favorites.  Here's a fun tag I made using the set and some great new pattern paper from My Minds Eye called School Daze and ink from Memento in Nautical Blue, Love Letter Red and Toffee Crunch.   I stamped the border using the School Days stamp set and then I finished off the top of the tag with some bits of twine from Divine Twine.

Have a great Thursday and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Appetizer Release Day!

Welcome to Wednesday & since it's the 15th of the month, it's time for a new Appetizer Release from Gourmet Rubber Stamps!

First up is a super fun Halloween set called Invite to Fright ~ such a fun name!  The frame on this set will be fun to use for any occasion ~ I just LOVE IT!  There are two different sentiments that fit inside the frame along with the fun Jack-o-Lantern.

Using supplies from i{heart}papers ~ I stamped the frame image on the card with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then I stamped it again on another piece of Kraft cardstock & cut it out with my Spellbinder Nestabilities.  You can just see a little bit behind the popped up Nestie.  The orange sentiment and pumpkin are stamped in Morocco Orange Memento Ink.  Then I added a small bit of paper from the October Afternoon 9 to 5 Collection at the top and some Divine Twine to finish it off!

The other new set is called Old School & you can see it on the Gourmet Rubber Stamps site or i{heart}papers.

I know you'll want to see more, so click on the GRS Blog to see the yummy new images.  Then visit the other designers blogs to see what they came up with!

Take Note...

It's the start of a new week and it's a perfect time to get organized for the week.  I'm a huge To Do List person...so the new Noteworthy Appetizer stamp set by Gourmet Rubber Stamps is right up my ally!  And even more than the list itself ~ I love crossing things off when I've finished the task.  In fact, sometimes I add things to my list that I've already done, just so I can cross them off ~ LOL!

I found this cool notepad at Michael's a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to remake it using this new set.  The "Notes", "From the Desk of:" and the border are all from the Noteworthy set.  The pointing finger is from the Diners Set called Old Fashioned Fun ~ I think they work great together!  I also used paper from the Echo Park collection Note to Self.

Have a great Monday!

Supplies from i{heart}papers:
Stamps ~ Gourmet Rubber Stamps (Noteworthy, pointing finger)
Pattern Paper ~ Echo Park (Note to Self)
Ink ~ Memento (Rich Cocoa), Lady Bug
Twine ~ Divine Twine

Hey Everybody!  Here we are in a new month ~ where did summer go???  I can't believe my kids go back to school 3 weeks from today ~ that just isn't right!  Well anyway, with a new month that means it's time for a new Diners set from Gourmet Rubber Stamps called Pack Your Bags.  I'm super excited about this set because every single image will be perfect to use with my pictures of our vacation this summer to Rome & Greece!   I also added a background stamp to my cardbase using the new Chevron Stripes Coverall background stamp using the Dazzle VersaMark ink and some Glossy Accents on the mirrors and lights.

I haven't had time to scrapbook with the images yet, but here is a card using the latest Weekly Recipe sketch challenge that I made using the adorable scooter.  This scooter is also in a custom set at i{heart}papers called Girls Wanna Have Fun.  Paired up with this great image is some new pattern paper and washi tape from October Afternoon's Woodland Park collection.

Happy Birthday Cowboy!

As we approach the end of another month, I wanted to sneak one more project in with my July Diners set by Gourmet Rubber Stamps called Old Fashioned Fun.  The cowboy images are also available in a custom set over at i{heart}papers called Cowboy.  This time I also used one of the sentiments from the Giddyup Girl stamp set and I added the Burlap Coveralls background stamp to the bottom of the gift box and on the tag.  Everything was stamped with Tsukineko's Memento Inks.

Here's the tag up close...

Now you'll want to come on back the rest of this week because I have lots of new release projects for you to see from both Our Craft Lounge and Gourmet Rubber Stamps.  I am so excited because I have my very own stamp set being released tomorrow ~ WOOHOOO!!!!
