As soon as I saw this fabulous journaling block in the September Month Mix from Lizzie Anne Designs, I knew I HAD to make a scrapbook page with it. AND then I saw the "Dreamer" sentiment & I really wanted to use it for a volleyball page. They worked perfectly together!
This sentiment is perfect for my daughter's club volleyball team last season because they never quit or gave up when they were down. They called themselves, Team Twelve because there were 12 of them, they were all 12 years old, and they were a under 12 team playing in the under 14 league. There were some bad matches, but they continued to work together and ended up having a great year!

Lost Treasures...
Yesterday, I was going through my files on the computer and couldn't believe my good luck when I found these two OCL cards from the summer release that I have never posted on my blog!
My first card uses the set called Bubbles ~ I just love that sweet little kiss!
My next card is from the Dino-Mite set ~ isn't that texture on the dino super cool? I just colored the image, cut it out and then ran it through my Big Shot with a Cuddlebug embossing plate.

A Challenge & Some CANDY!
DON'T FORGET TO READ ALL THE WAY TO THE END!
Each month, the i{heart}papers design team has a team challenge and this time it's the ABC/123 Challenge. I didn't get it at first either ~ but here are the guidelines. You use just one sentiment (that's the ABC part), two embellishments, and three layers (including the card base)! Talk about a challenge for me ~ WOW!
So on my card, I used one of the new sentiments from the Into the Forest set by Chicken Girl Design Stamps. I also added the sweet little flower at the bottom of the card ~ not too sure if I was supposed to do that or not ~ LOL! The two embellishments are the ribbon and button and the three layers are the card base, the pattern paper, and the label with the sentiment.
Supplies from i{heart}papers: Stamps ~ Chicken Girl Designs (Into the Forest); Pattern Paper ~ My Minds Eye (Grow); Ink ~ Palette & atyou Spica Glitter pens.
You'll have to go check out what all the other girls did today ~

SCS Featured Stamper Challenge
It's Monday Peeps & I'm just buzzing on in to say HELLO! I have high hopes of getting lots and lots done this week. Kids @ school + hubby on the road = STAMPING TIME for me!
My project for today is for the Featured Stamper Challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers. I wish I had more time for challenges, but sometimes it's hard to fit them in. Anyway, I decided to just make time for one this weekend and dig into Joann's beautiful card set gallery. THESE are the card she made ~ and here is my cute little bee....

I loved the layout, but changed the stamp and the colors. Also, rather than another piece of pattern paper across the card, I used the ribbon.
By the way ~ check in tomorrow for something pretty SWEET & another challenge card!

New Sketch from Lizzie Anne Designs...
Happy Friday Peeps! Today I played with the weekly sketch from Lizzie Anne Designs. Here is the link over on Lizzie Anne Land ~ super fun! The twist is to add several pattern papers together. You know I LOVE that! For my sample, I used one of the new stamps in the September Monthly Mix {Something to Crow About}. I love the flower inside the set ~ it's perfect for paper piecing.

Life is a Picnic...
When it's picnic time, I DON'T like all the little creepy crawlies that come along with it; however, this is one of the cutest little ants I've ever seen. Who wouldn't want to share a lunch with this little guy from the Hugs from a Bug set by Chicken Girl Designs?
Supplies from i{heart}papers: Stamps ~ Chicken Girl Designs (Hugs from a Bug); Nestabilities; Ink ~ Palette.
Hope you have a splendid day! Now that my kids are back in school, I am hoping to get some solid time in my stamping area again (if I can stay out of my car long enough from being the taxi service). They just started back to school yesterday & both had great days. Here are a few pictures of my new 7th grader & 4th grader...

What a bunch of NUTS!
Hey everyone! I'm home from my retreat & what a WONDERFUL time we had! WOW ~ nothing can compare to spending time and laughing with your girlfriends. One of my favorite memories was on the last night when 15 of us were all packed into one of the bedrooms talking and laughing until 1:45am! We all knew we would be packing up and leaving the next morning, but we didn't want the weekend to end.
OK ~ that was fun, but on with to my project for today. This cute little guy is from the Into the Forest set by Chicken Girl Design stamps available only from i{heart}papers.

I have great friends...
And this is just a little something I put together for them! I can't say much more right now, because many of the girls who weren't able to attend the retreat are waiting for a special package in the mail. I love my girlfriends!

Retreat Surprise #1
As I mentioned yesterday, I am currently at an annual retreat in Wisconsin with some of my best friends. Each year the host makes name tags for the girls attending. This year my friend Michelle came up with these wonderful grunge paper flowers. She came over a few weeks ago and we painted them with acrylic paint and had a fantastic time laying them with different colors and textures.
Here are all of the name tags ~ we were thrilled with how they turned out & each one is unique.

Bee my honey...
Cute, cute, cute! I think this bee is just so sweet! This little guy is from the new set called Hugs from a Bug by Chicken Girl Design Stamps at i{heart}papers.
Supplies from i{heart}papers: Stamps ~ Chicken Girl Design Stamps (Hugs from a Bug); Oval Nestabilities & Scallop Oval Nestabililties; Ink ~ Palette; atyou Glitter Pen (yellow); gems ~ Hero Arts.
I'm on the road right now on my way to my wonderful annual retreat center in Wisconsin with some of my best friends. Everyone should be arriving at some point today and we will be here all weekend. I've been preparing for this for the past year because this year I volunteered to host along with 2 other girls. It's been a great experience & we can't wait to share all the surprises we have in store for the girls. I'm so excited! I'll have some posts over the next few days that show some of those surprises.

Game ON!
It's almost time for school again and that means sports will begin as well. Our Craft Lounge has some great school sets like Bookworm, Back 2 School & Game On! They are perfect for all your school needs both academic and sports releated.
My first card today uses both the Back 2 School set & Game On! I thought the 1st Place ribbon turned out fun!
My second card uses just the Game On set; however, I paired it up with this great paper from Doodlebug I found in my stash!
Did you know that on the Our Craft Lounge site, they have a gallery for each set? Just click on the Image Gallery button at the bottom of each set & then enlarge the images to see all the detail.
