Last Day of School

 Last day of 2nd grade... onto 3rd for this girl!

We sure loved Mrs. Williams

 Last day of 3rd grade... onto 4th for this guy!!

We sure loved Ms. Hannah, she was absent today because she was

attending a High School Graduation

Kelson was awarded 3 awards in Mathematics!!

I am soooo proud!!! He struggled at the beginning of the year

but really worked hard and the payoff is sweet!

The big kid (aka Brayden)

has finished 8th grade is onto 9th next year!!

That is High School Status!!

Long Time No Bloggy

I am soooo behind!!

This crazy lady, you see here in the picture, started school!

yep! I took this pic right before I walked into class for the first time...

Since then I have not entirely forgotten about my lil Blog... or my Birdies,

I was just adjusting to my new schedule

and lost a couple more strands of hair along the way ;)

We have been quite busy...

I've got pics to prove it!!

Real Men Wear Pink

 We made it to Primary Children's Orthopedic's

The Surgeon took another round of X-rays and decided no surgery will be necessary!!

He broke his left arm... if it had been his Dominant (Right) Arm they would have done 

surgery forsure... but Dr. Holmes feels confident that this teenage boy is a strong and healthy Lad

so they are casting his arm in a 90 degree angle for 3 weeks

and then they will see how he is healing...

if he heals nicely... they will hit him with rounds and rounds of Physical Therapy...

He doesn't know it yet, but Physical Therapy will be his next "Sport"...

sorry Basketball :(

 The Dr. said his arm will be bruising even more 

as the healing begins with the cast on...

Holy Bruise, Batman!!

 Here is the nurse threatening him: 

to not stick anything down in the cast, to not use the cast as a weapon, no football, basketball, wrestling, or Gym, no jumping on trampolines,  no riding scooters, rollerblades or skateboards.

Most importantly.... DO NOT GET THE CAST WET!!

Broken?

I need to get my rear in gear and get posting before the year runs out!!

Both Brayden and Kelson have been playing football this year.

Last Saturday, October 13, 2012, Brayden got his first serious injury!

I'm talking first serious injury Ever in every sport he has EVER played!!

He has been so lucky so far...

But not this time :(

Then 4 players piled on top!! 

 Oh Snap!!!

He was in a lot, A LOT, of pain... and this kid never gets hurt!!
The sports trainer said to take him to get X-Rays immediately..
They wrapped him up tight and sent him on his way

In conclusion....

His poor elbow is fractured!!

Actual name is called...
Non Displaced Transversed Fracture of the Olecranon of Ulna
in other words... Broken Funny Bone
(not so funny)

We are off to see the Orthopedic Surgeon at Primary Children's Hospital today
I hope all turns out well, and no Surgery is needed...
 but from what a bunch of people have told me,
this is a fracture that requires surgery to repair...

Cue tears... Waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!

It's Ground Hog Day!!!

Phil has made his prediction...
He saw his shadow
which means

6 more weeks of Winter!!!
(well duh... that was no brainer... Winter is barely beginning)

Since 1886 Ground Hog Phil has seen his shadow 100+ times
and has not seen his shadow only 16 times
They say he is usually spot on...
I agree with him this year because it's been springtime so far this winter

6 more weeks of winter 'ay??
I bet we get snow into June!!

Let's Go To The State Fair

We had so much fun at the Utah State Fair
Monday night (September 12, 2011) was Family Night

Most exciting part of the whole night...

This guy travels the country with his "family" of geese...
He dresses them up and does a little show...
He was quite the silly Hillbilly...
His flock of family's diet persists of:
Twinkies
Ho Ho's
Doughnuts
and Pepsi
yes!! Pepsi... that's what is in the green bottle..
He reassured us that his little feathered friends visit the "Doc"
and they are all healthy as can be...

He flirted with my mom...

My mom flirted back ;) "Tee hee hee"

They were very friendly and pretty vocal with "honks"
and one sounded like it was laughing

He also rented out Binky's...
