OCC Day 5: Watercoloring

Hi there!
Sharing a couple of cards I made for the Online Card Classes Day 5 challenge.
This card features watercoloring.
I shy away from watercolor b/c I feel I never do it right, but I was pleased with these results from the great tips from the class.

The following card features products from
Super Sponsors of  the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop:
Paper Smooches (honeycomb die
Honey Bee Stamps  (sentiment)

This Spring Card Camp challenge yielded two cards.
Here's the other one with a Concord and 9th  "hello" die
and Paper Smooches Bee die

This mug was also stamped with Catherine Pooler stamps and covered in Glossy Accents.

PS8: Hey There!!

Sharing a card I made for the new Poppy Sketches Challenge #8.
I love how this one turned out!
It's ok to pat yourself on the back every now and then, eh?

I stamped the Simon Says Stamp flower set on white paper first.
Then I stamped and cut out the Lawn Fawn Polaroid stamp.

I positioned the Polaroid over the flower pattern until I
liked it and then trimmed it up to match.

Haven't used a flower embellie in a LONG time.
Found the black one in the stash. Black flower???
Better than the two attempts to color a butterfly veneer. Couldn't get it the "right" color!

 Supplies
Stamps:  Paper Smooches, Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp
Inks: Distress and Simon Says Stamp
Papers: Simon Says Stamp and AC
Enamel dots: homemade!!

It is the challenge's one year anniversary!

This card took 8 minutes and 34 seconds.
Would have been less, but the Glossy Accents and I got in a battle (clogged)...
The gloss won and I switched to my Scotch Quick Dry.

STS#1: Good Times!

Played along with the sketch from Seize the Sketch.
It is a new sketch challenge!

I was inspired by the invitation below to create a background out of distress inks.
I started with a white panel and blended the inks to create a cotton candy look.
The stripes on the sketch were made with washi tape.

Rather than the star, I stamped the Lawn Fawn camera and colored with with Copics.  Then, I cut it out and adhered it with dimensional foam.
I added the wood veneer bubble for fun.  I used distress ink to color it.

I used three different stamp companies on the inside
(Paper Smooches, Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp)

Card Drive Update and Card

Less than a month to go for my Card Drive for Addison.
I have received over 180 cards from so many places including Australia, India, Canada, Michigan, Kansas, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, Virginia, Oklahoma, Maryland, Washington, California, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, Wisconsin and more!!!!!

I am so touched by the response and I know the family will be too.
They really had a rough Thanksgiving week that included a day in the hospital, treatments, and a round of strep throat complete with all three girls vomiting at some point.
I have known mom for over 15 years and I know that she is one tough cookie, but everyone has a breaking point no matter how tough you are.

In addition to cards, they need our prayers for healing, strength, rest, comfort and moments of relief. Other ways to help is to donate to the Leukemia Society or donate blood to a blood bank near you.  There are so many people in little Addison's situation who can benefit from your gift of blood in your local community.

Here's a card headed their way soon:

It was inspired by my hat after I ran the Color Run 5K where
they threw colored powder at you at various stations during the race.

 Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn "Harolds ABCs" and "Say Cheese",
Craft's Meow "Typically Teen",  Paper Smooches
Inks; SU! and Distress
Other:  Spellbinder Wonky Rectangles Die

I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge

My next 5K is December 8th!
Love to have join the Card Drive for Addison.
Runs until December 20 and there are GREAT prizes!
Thanks for looking,
Kelly

10 Min Card (more like 12:68)

Decided to give the 10 Minute Craft Challenge a try.
It was rather fun, but it took me 12 minutes and 68 seconds.
I did not plan on the fact that I only had a small space cleared on my desk and had to stop and clean up all the ink before I could finish the card!
Then as I went to grab the white card based I noticed ink all over my hand and had to wash!

I embossed the chevron in white.
The background was made with 3 distress inks and water mists.
I heated the panel to get it to dry quickly.
I tried to "hide" that reddish line with the flower.  A bit still showed.

more for card drive: CAS cards with HA

Made a little set of three cards to send to my friend's daughters.
Little Addison is battling Leukemia and her sisters are battling right beside her.
The little ones are affected just as much, but in a different way.
One card will go to each girl.
Love to have you join my CARD DRIVE for her.
FABULOUS prizes too!

My CAS cards feature stamps by Hero Arts.
I stamped, colored and cut out the butterflies.
Then I stamped the image on the paper to get the antennae.
The cut out images were then glued on top.
The flight path was created with a Uniball pen.
The top lines were embossed on the MS scoreboard.

Modified them a bit with a Paper Smooches sentiment for some cards to
welcome new babies at church.  Lots of COPIC coloring fun!

I am entering these cards into the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft #215:   Pieced Off
A Blog Named Hero #14: Clean Up Your Act (CAS project)

Supplies:
Stamps by HA  Cling Butterflies and Everyday Sayings Stamp Set
Other: Copics, Neenah paper, Uniball pen, MS scoreboard, Stickles
