Pink Christmas part 2...

I have the other 3 styles of Christmas cards to share, that I made using Merry & Bright papers from Carta Bella.  Love these papers!

Sentiment is from Verve, decorative rectangle die is from The Greetery.
Word die is Echo Park.
And here's the whole group, one more time!

Pink Christmas

It's Pink Shirt Day!  So what's a crafter to do, but post a pink card or two?  I am on a mission to use up supplies that have been in my craft room for awhile, and managed to create 8 Christmas cards using the Merry & Bright papers from Carta Bella.

I also made a point of using some of the STICKERS that came with this paper pack - something I never do, but they're wonderful stickers, and make great accents.  I added a few die cuts and kept the colours bright and fun.
I'm also loving all of the Nuvo Drops that Santa put in my stocking this year - those little green dots are one of my new colours!  I'm going to split up my cards into a few posts, but here's the group of them together:

Quick & Easy Christmas

Even though I haven't been posting too often lately, I have been creating!  I have a new job, and have quite a few new coworkers who have been very helpful and encouraging to me - so I wanted to make a stack of Christmas cards to give out this year.  I had some old CTMH Evensong papers in my craft room (anyone remember these??), and I used Verve's Poinsettia Christmas and Merry & Bright for the sentiment.  I got 15 of the floral cards done, and 4 of the checked background cards made - so I'm feeling pretty productive right now!

Patterned papers are Evensong; Cardstock is Colonial White, Garnet & New England Ivy - all Close To My Heart; Stamp sets are Poinsettia Christmas & Merry and Bright by Verve; Spellbinders die; La La Land Crafts Poinsettia die; Copic Markers; Inks are Versafine Onyx Black & Tuxedo Black by Memento.

White Pines

I have another new group of cards made from my recent Close To My Heart order - these are using an older stamp set called Merry & Bright, with their new holiday papers: White Pines.  I did a few slight variations of the same design:

Patterned paper is White Pines, Cardstock is Glacier, Chocolate & Colonial White; Inks are Cranberry, Cashmere & Chocolate; Stamp set is Merry & Bright - all CTMH; MFT Square Stax dies.

Mojo Monday #409

I am so happy to be playing along with Mojo Monday today... it's been a little while, so I was happy to have some time to make a card this afternoon - and even happier that it's a Christmas card!  See that little running total over on my side bar?  It's been at "7" Christmas cards for months now...so I need to get a move on.  Now, I tweaked the sketch a little - sort of squashed it down to be a horizontal card, but I quite like how it turned out:
Patterned papers are Elf Magic by Bo Bunny; Stamp sets are Glad Tidings and Merry & Bright by Verve; Inks are Black, Pacifica, Topiary and Cranberry, CTMH; Cardstock is Topiary, White Daisy & Pacifica, CTMH; Enamel Dots are Cranberry & Olive Gumdrops by Your Next Embellie.

Retro Sketches #130

When I first saw this sketch on the Retro Sketches blog, I thought it would be a little too difficult, since I don't really have much Washi tape... but then I thought of all the multi-striped patterned papers that I have.  So when I pulled out this holiday paper, I already had the sentiment stamped and the two snowflakes embossed - and they just happen to work perfectly with the sketch!
Patterned paper is Winter Fun, Carta Bella; Cardstock is Kraft, Vineyard Berry & Colonial White, CTMH; Ink is Twilight, CTMH; Stamp sets are Glad Tidings and Merry & Bright, Verve;  Verve Snowflake dies;  Enamel Dots, Your Next Embellie.

Merry Monday & Mojo Monday

I managed to sneak in a quick card before I head off to work this morning (never happens!) but I was quite inspired by this week's Mojo Monday sketch, as well as Lesley's inspiration at Merry Monday (aqua/red/white + circles).  I'm not that thrilled with my ribbon, so there may be a bit of a re-do after work today:
Patterned papers are Season's Greetings, Echo Park; Cardstock is Colonial White & Cranberry, CTMH; Stamp sets are Merry & Bright and Peace on Earth, Verve; Sweet Scallop die & stamp, Verve; Ruby Chevron ribbon, CTMH; Inks are Black, Cranberry & Crystal Blue.

So I'm two for two in my quest to post a Christmas card every day of November... lets see how long I can keep the streak going :o)  I have used the sketch from the Seize the Sketch challenge blog, along with some Basic Grey papers from a few years ago (love these!):

It's November!! - A Personal Challenge

We're still eating Halloween goodies around here, after a particularly nasty night left many of the Trick-or-Treaters at home... and that means that we now find ourselves into November.  Knee deep in holiday crafting, shopping and soon to be decorating.  I don't have as many Christmas cards in my stash as I would like at this stage in the game, so I've given myself a personal challenge to try to post a card, tag or Christmas project every day for the month of November.  That'll keep me in my craft room on a regular basis, where I will hopefully be productive!  So I'm starting off the month with my absolute FAVOURITE stamp set in the Close To My Heart fall/winter catalogue.  You'll see it a few times over the next little while, as I have several cards planned, and a few more images already coloured & ready to go.  Here goes:
Christmas village has a bunch of different vintage looking stores & buildings... and I am a huge fan of colouring with markers - so I'm looking forward to colouring this set up to match all kinds of different paper packs.  I kept the rest of the card fairly CAS, adding a grosgrain ribbon that I stitched a button onto.  Here's a close up of the village:

Stamp sets are Christmas Village and Merry & Bright;  Cardstock is Kraft, Cranberry & White Daisy; Cranberry Grosgrain Ribbon & wooden button - all Close To My Heart;  Ink is Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic Markers.

May Your Days Be Filled

...With a whole lot of Merry!  I love this Christmas quote from Verve's Merry & Bright set... so I made a second card while I had all the product out on my desk last weekend.  No sketch today, just a simple card with some embossed snowflakes:
Patterned papers are Winter Fun, Carta Bella; Cardstock is Kraft, Vineyard Berry & Colonial White, CTMH; Inks are Crystal Blue & Champagne, CTMH; Vineyard Berry organdy ribbon, CTMH; Stamp sets are Glad Tidings & Merry & Bright, Verve; Snowflake Tidings dies, Verve.

Diva Dare & Retro Sketches

I was very productive on the Christmas card front this weekend... so I'll have a few to share this week.  First up is a card using some lovely Verve products for their October Diva Dare challenge which is "Tag You're It" to use a tag on a card.  This just happened to work perfectly with this week's Retro Sketch, so here's what I came up with:

Patterned papers are Winter Fun by Carta Bella; Cardstock is Kraft, Vineyard Berry & Colonial White, CTMH; Inks are Crystal Blue & Champagne, CTMH; Ruby Chevron ribbon, CTMH; Stamp sets are Merry & Bright and Glad Tidings, Verve; Sweet Scallop die and Snowflake Tidings dies, Verve.

Grey is the new Black - Mojo #314

What a fabulous sketch this week at Mojo Monday!  My first card came together quite easily, so I turned around and promptly made a second one.  Both cards use the Echo Park T'is the Season papers which feature a lot of grey, and I really like the look for holiday cards.  My first one is scissor distressed with some chunky irridescent glitter on the snowflakes, and the second is lightly edged in grey ink, and uses the new Tim Holtz distress glitter:

Patterned papers are T'is the Season, Echo Park; Cardstock is Grey Wool & White Daisy, CTMH; Stamp sets are Glad Tidings & Merry & Bright, Verve; Verve Snowflake dies; Black Ink, CTMH; Martha Stewart chunky glitter; Tim Holtz Distress Glitter.

Merry Monday!

I am very pleased to be playing along with this week's Merry Monday challenge!  Lesley asked us to do a Christmas card with birds on it... so as you can see, I've CASE'd Allisa's card from the design team this week, as the Pear & Partridge papers are perfect.  I'm using the Sweet Sunday Sketch by Vicki Burdick as my layout:

Patterned papers are Pear & Partridge; Cardstock is Cocoa, Cranberry & Cashmere; Stamp set is Merry & Bright; Inks are Cocoa, Champagne - all CTMH.

SFYTT for December

Well here we are with the final Sketch For You To Try for 2012, (and the last ever!), and I am pleased to say that I've been able to do all 12 sketches for the year :o) After my December card, I will give a list of links to all the monthly cards at the bottom of my post. Jen has an awesome prize to give away to one lucky player on Christmas Day... This was a harder sketch for me, one tilted panel I can handle, but 3?? So I went for something a little less structured, and a bit distressed using some lovely Authentique papers:

Patterned papers are Peaceful by Authentique, Cardstock is Black and Colonial White, CTMH; Stamp set is Merry & Bright, CTMH; Inks are Black, Bamboo & Pear; Martha Stewart coarse glitter; Martha Stewart snowflake punch; Let it Snowflake dies, My Favorite Things.
