Graduation Thank You's
A few weeks ago I posted some 'bulk' birthday cards that I'd made using the Polka Dot Alphabet & the Dotty papers... well here is the 'Thank-you' version! My son graduated from high school earlier this week, so he needs a number of thank you cards to send out, and these were quick & fun:
Patterned papers are Dotty for You; Cardstock is Black & White Daisy; Stamp set is Polka Dot Alphabet; Inks are Moonstruck, Gypsy, Pear, Tulip, Sorbet & Creme Brulee.
And here's my graduate, who we are SO proud of! He was on the honour roll for all 8 semesters of high school, and his top 6 marks have earned him an entrance scholarship to Western University next fall:

Floral Frenzy challenge
We are launching a brand new challenge over on the Art Impressions blog today, and my card is featured! The challenge theme is "Floral Frenzy" - so pull out your floral stamps, papers and embellishments and go wild :o) Art Impressions has a wonderful line of stamps called Front & Backs that have always intrigued me, and I thought I would give them a try this week so here is my first effort (be gentle!).
This is Judy (sku#4232)... leaning out of the Curtain Window (sku#4234). I had an idea that I would use strips of yellow paper made to look like the 'siding' of a house, and that I would do a pot of 3D flowers below her window. The 'open air' around her head is actually cut out, so that you can see inside the card. Here is the inside view:
I gave her a little wallpaper, and some wood flooring, and paper pieced some patterned curtains. There are a few steps involved to put Judy together. Her front and back come as separate stamps (see below) as do the outside shutters and the inside curtain window:
The stamps are brilliantly designed, so that when you cut them out, they fit together perfectly. I began by making my siding and wallpaper, and then positioned my windows (which again, fit perfectly together):
Then I just glued Judy together, and positioned her so that her forearms hung out the front window (and yes, she fits perfectly :o). I cut out a bunch of rolled flowers using my Cricut, cut my own pot shape, and made up my little flower pot. Here's a closeup:

Beauty In Progress Easel Card!
Hello Ai fans!
It's my day over on the Art Impressions blog, and I'm happy to share my first ever easel card with you! I didn't read any tutorials, or watch any how-to videos... just sort-of came up with my own version, so it may not be what you've seen before?! I am also a huge *Girlfriends* fan, so I've used the Beauty In Progress Set (sku#4240), and some very girly papers that I thought worked really well:
I started by gluing my front onto a regular card base (5" x 6 1/2"), and I made the bottom panel from a piece of cardstock cut to the same size with an extra inch flap that I glued to the back of the card:
This is what it looks like after being assembled, and folded together:
Here it is unfolded:
The inside sentiment says "Pamper Yourself" and the main sentiment is "What happens at the salon, stays at the salon!" Wouldn't this be perfect to give to someone with a spa gift card tucked inside? Here's a front view:
And the Copics that I used:
Have a wonderful Tuesday :o)

Sing - Dance - Laugh - Love!
It's my turn to be up on the Art Impressions blog today, and I have a set of cards using the versatile Sing Dance set (sku#4227) from the Say It Loud! collection.
I started out by stamping the image on four colours of polka dot paper:
I had only intended to do one paper pieced card, but once I started cutting, it seemed obvious that I should keep going and make four. Here's what my armchair looked like while I was watching tv the other night:
I stamped the image again on white paper that I had sewed onto a black mat, and then started gluing:
I added paper flowers, a little Baker's Twine and some leaves that were die cut from the green polka dot paper:
Patterned papers are Dotty For You; Cardstock is Black & White Daisy; Just Blooms Paradise paper flowers; buttons & baker's twine - all Close To My Heart; Stamp set is Sing Dance Set #4227, Art Impressions.

Deconstructed Sketch #105
Well I'm a little late to the party with this one... these are the wonderful Dream Pop papers that were the May CTMH promo pack, and I'm only just cutting into them now! Better late than never. They're fun, bright & summery - so I pulled them out for this week's Deconstructed Sketch. These wild papers don't need a lot of layers or matting, so I kept my card fairly simple:
Patterned papers are Dream Pop; Stamp set is Cricut Artiste Birthday collection; Cardstock is Grey Wool & White Daisy; Ink is Grey Wool; Clear buttons & Baker's twine - all Close To My Heart. Spellbinder's dies.
