Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Texture
These are the leaves on our lime tree. They have an awesome texture and color!
Now if only it would produce a lime.
:)

Fog
I was clueless as to what I was going to use for this prompt...so I did the easy thing and dug into the archives.

Beverage
You've probably seen this one before - I had an idea for this prompt, but never got around to setting it up and getting it shot. This photo, although an oldie, contains two of my favorite things: delicious homemade lemonade and a super clean house!

Seventies
All of these items have been a part of my mom's sewing basket for as long as I can remember...and I'm assuming they're from the 70's, but I ran PW's Seventies action (set at 50%) on this for good measure. ;)

Midweek Catch Up

The past week has been wonderful!
If you're wondering why I've not been posting daily anymore, it's because I've finally put my priorities in proper order!

I've spent so much more time with my kids - we've played games and wrestled, had mini Wii tournaments, painted, read loads of books, and enjoyed the here-and-now moments.

I said things like:
"I'm on my way!" instead of "I'll be there in a few minutes."
"Yes, you can paint!" instead of "Not today, it's too messy."
"Sure, we'll make jigglers right now!" instead of "Maybe tomorrow."

I'm slowly learning to appreciate all the precious moments God has given us together, rather than taking it all for granted.

Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Psalm 90:12

With all that said, I did make some time for photography and editing, though, because I love it and it also keeps me sane and relaxed!

I recently saw something like this on a Blackberry commercial and wanted to try it. This isn't really close to what I had in mind, but my kids saw all these shoes set out and thought it was dress up time! They were pretty excited, so I went with it.

A spilled jar of kosher salt.
Not much to say about that.

This is my son's biplane that he got for Christmas.
I have more shots of it coming up on Friday.

Pretty in Pink

Beaded Purse 6

...another beaded purse from the closet.
I think it's a fairly accurate statement to say that I tend to lean towards the low-maintenance tomboy side of the female spectrum. But the older I get, the more I love the color pink!

Brown Beaded Purse

I've been feeling a serious creative-block lately, so I dug through my closet and found my beaded purses.

I haven't carried a real purse for over four years - the diaper bag has filled that role quite nicely, I must admit. But there's just something lost in the femininity department that a diaper bag can't fulfill and I am all too ready to get back to being feminine!
