Healing Words

Last weekend Connor and Ricky went to visit Grandma Mac. It's unbelievable that ten weeks ago, as Ricky and I drove to Michigan we were thinking of words like scary, sad, and death when on the road. On our family's journey since then, the words we think of have definitely changed.

We can officially cross off words from the list like ICU, tracheostomy, and feeding tube.

Some hard words still included life include skin graphs, pain medicine, and physical therapy.

Words we are looking forward to having back are speech, strength, and home.

And new positive words would be chi tea, smiles, and sitting up.

Words I would use to describe my mother-in-law are anxious and impatient, but what I've always known as strong and resilient.

Continue to pray for words like healing, encouragement, and faith.

That's a good way to explain it.
