Cookie Face

Steven got some oreos one day and instead of putting the package away he left it on the kitchen.  Enter Annalisa, who found them on the floor and helped herself.  I found her with black cookie smeared all over her face and an oreo in each hand happily eating.  She sure thought she had hit the jackpot.  Afterward it was bathtime and time to give the kitchen floor a thorough mopping which it needed anyway.

10 months

Annalisa turned 10 months on Jan 2!! At 10 months she weighed about 14 lbs.  She loves pat-a-cake and peek-a-boo.  She loves to blow raspberries and "talks" a lot.  She also started waving, though it looks more like she is saying come here.  She holds her hand with the palm up and then curls her fingers up.  Anytime you say hi or bye bye to her she waves.  People at church have said that she would wave at them during church.  She is definitely becoming social.  She has such a cute little personality.  I have had a lot of people ask if she ever cries.  Nope, not very often.  Sometimes in the car, she is not a good car rider but she is better than she used to be.  She is a happy girl.  I just love to watch her, sometimes I will watch her play and she will just sit there banging toys and grinning.  What a sweetie!!

New Year's Day and Warren's

So I must confess I cannot quite remember when some of these pictures were taken.  So I am just operating on the assumption that they were from New Years but that might not be true.  For New Years Eve this year we went to my parents' house as usual.  This year we picked up take out Chinese for dinner.  The kids had chicken nuggets except Steven who likes Chinese food and wanted orange chicken.  Afterward we watched movies and played some board games.  Nate and Mandy introduced us to Beyond Balderdash which Matthew has completely fallen in love with.  Now every Sunday when we are there he wants to play it.  Luckily he has nice aunts and uncles who are willing to play with him.
Our 3 older kids stayed up until midnight.  We were sad to see 2013 go, the year our sweet Annalisa joined our family.  2009-2011 were all yucky years with lots of trials.  2012 was a bit better. 2013 was a happy year with the arrival of baby.
We came home that night and slept in late.  On New Year's day we have a tradition to either go bowling or go to a movie.  Steven wanted to go bowling, Matthew and Summer wanted to go to a movie. We went to the movie and promised Steven we would go bowling later.  We saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 since it was in the dollar theater.  While we were there we saw one of Steven's friends with his family.  They invited Steven to sit with them which he did.
We went to Warrens for dinner, I don't remember which night it was but it could have been New Years.  Steven ended up with 2 ice cream cones since Summer decided she didn't want hers.

He hit the jackpot!!
