After Bryce Canyon we stopped for a late lunch at Arby's and then started the drive home. It went pretty much without incident except at one bathroom break at a gas station. We had told the kids we would buy them a treat but then Steven started acting up and lost his treat. He cried and cried and Matthew was sad for him. Matthew and Summer both gave him part of their treat. I saw Matthew give Steven a hug and I must say it melted my heart a little. I am so glad that my kids love each other. They fight quite a bit but they love each other. We arrived home that evening and had some dinner and started unpacking and getting ready for Karl's mom who would be arriving the next morning. She had been staying with Karl's aunt. Luckily we had left the house clean so it was just cleaning up the trip stuff. We had a fun time but it felt good too be home, we were tired!!

Bryce Canyon
After leaving Cedar Breaks we drove to Bryce Canyon. We didn't have a ton of time to spend there because we needed to get home at a decent time that day. The kids ended up not being able to do the junior ranger program there since one of the requirements was attending a Ranger Program and there wasn't one for hours and we didn't want to stay that long. It's a shame. If they had gotten this one they would have had an even 10. Bryce Canyon is very beautiful. It looks pretty similar to Cedar Breaks.

Cedar Breaks
Saturday morning we got up, had a wonderful breakfast at the hotel, packed up and headed up the road. We were headed home via Cedar Breaks National Monument and Bryce Canyon National Park. We spend the morning at Cedar Breaks. It is so beautiful there. And the people who worked there were so friendly and great with the kids. We had a wonderful time.
They had a telescope set up to look at Jupiter. It had taken them hours to get it set up. We couldn't bump it or anything or they would lose it. It made me nervous when the kids were looking but they were great and didn't touch it at all. Jupiter looked like a little white dot. Pretty cool. Our little science man Matthew was sure excited to be able to say he had seen Jupiter.
