Kindergarten Graduation

Steven's kindergarten was on May 30.  It was really cute and well done.  Steven had a part in two different skits.  They sang some really cute songs.  I can't believe that Steven is done with kindergarten already.  It was a very fast year.  Next year will have lots of changes with Steven being in school all day and Summer starting preschool.  Not too sure how I feel about it.
of course, Steven was sitting on the opposite side of the room

In the snowman skit, he was the lizard snowman

After they all melted

He was Neddy Buttercup in this one

We walked passed Matthew's classroom and Karl took this pic.  He actually came to the graduation but had already gone back to class

Now he is officially a first grader.

Memorial Day weekend

For Memorial Day weekend we did our annual visiting the various cemetaries.  On Saturday we went and saw Karl's parternal grandparents' graves and my paternal grandparents' graves.  The camera battery must have died because this is the only picture I got from Saturday.  It was great grandparents' house.

That night we went and met two of my former roommates, Emilee and Erin, for dinner.  They were in town for a few days and we met them at Crown Burger.  It was so fun to see them, I hadn't seen them for years, since before Summer was born.  I had never seen their kids either.

On Sunday we just went to church and did the usual Sunday routine.  On Monday morning we met my parents, Grandma, sister, aunts, uncles, and some cousins at the cemetary to see my materanl grandfather's grave.

Later that afternoon we went to see Karl's maternal grandparents' grave.  It's the first time we had been there since Karl's grandma's funeral.

After seeing the graves we went to RC Willey to price mattresses.  Our mattress was really bad and we needed a better one.  We found a good deal on one but we hadn't really planned on buying that day.  We put a hold on it so we could reserve one at that price and think about it.  After that we went to my parents' house for a barbeque.  While there we told them about the mattress situation.  My parents suggested we talk to my brother-in-law's brother who owns his own mattress company.  We went that night to check out his store and found one we loved.   With the family discount he gave us it was the same price as the the RC Willey one but better quality.  We called and cancelled the RC Willey one and bought this one instead.  We love it!!
