Mabry is @ a movie w/ her friends...how cute is that and Ruby is sleeping for a few minutes so this is my only chance before I start wrapping more presents.
I was able to have lunch w/ some friends today. How great was that. It was nice to catch up and actually be able to eat a hot meal (the kids were w/ my mommy dearest - thanks Babs). I will try my best to post a pic...if I remember how.



This morning Mabry woke up extrememly excited that Christmas is only 2 days away. I have to admit...I am excited as well. What a fun time to have little ones eeh??
After breakfast, Mabry decided to make a Christmas present for "our whole family". She is the best...she decided to draw stars on the chalk board. I so believe that she was sent to this earth just for me! Thanks for making my day Mabes!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! My little Mabry kept me laughing...she loves Fancy Nancy (book by Jane O'connor) and got a Fancy Nancy outfit for Christmas (thanks Judie). Here are some pics of Mabes being fancy...right down to the pink hair. She is the best! ENJOY!!

Mabrys Prayer...

Mabrys prayer 11/30/08
Mabry said prayers last night and it was the sweetest prayer she has said to this day. She did it w/out any help or prompting from mommy or daddy. They were not the words she usually says in her prayers and not the words that she hears us say in our prayers. I was crying when she said Amen…touched on so many levels. It was so good for my soul – Listening to my little girl talk to her Heavenly Father in her own sweet words - Seeing her with folded arms and closed eyes sitting on her princess sleeping bag – Feeling humble and so blessed to have such a pure example to learn from – Knowing that she is learning for herself how prayer will help her.
Mabes – my sweet, darling, sassy pants, yumm-a-licious 5 going on 15 year old… I hope and pray no matter what you choose in life that you know mommy and daddy love you no matter what.

Dear Heavenly Father – thank you for my blessings, thank you for letting us go to church – thank you for my teacher, Sister Rhead – help me to be nice to my kindergarten friends – I love Jesus - Amen

Maybe a little too emotional but I had to write it down before I forgot it. One of those Ah-ha moments for me. Gripes...look what you started Melissa. Now I can't even see to type...sniff sniff!!

What the fat lip??

Mabes had a dentist appointment and she had a few little cavities...So they numbed her lip and told me to watch and make sure she doesn't bite her lip. Easy enough right?? So we go home put on a movie and I give Mabes a sippy cup of her milk and sit down to watch the movie w/ her. Not even 15 min into the movie and I look over and see something growing on Mabrys lip. GRIPES!! She had been chewing on her lip the entire time. (mother of the year) I gave her some ice to suck on for the swelling and it helped a little. Good Grief...It took a full week for that pucker lip to go down. Poor thing!

Skipping School

Soooooo.....I let Mabes skip school one day to go to Gardners Village. We went the week of Halloween an had some fun! our friends Melissa and Ro came w/ us. THis was my first visit to Gardners Village and I was impressed. They had all sorts of witches hanging around and the stores were all decorated way cute. We got some good deals on Halloween stuff as well. Mabrys favorite part was the pony ride and the petting zoo....of corse! It was a fun day w/ fun friends. Note to self...next time - pack a sack lunch to avoid spilled soda and wet pants from spilled water!! Thanks so much to Melis and Ro for taking us down there w/ them! The kids were little angles for the drive there and back. I actually got to have a long conversation w/ a grown up!:)

Mabry is helping me make her spiecial PKU cupcakes. She loves loves loves doing this cuz she gets to lick the beaters and the bowl. She is such a fun girl!

Mabry's First day of school

Thought I better catch up quick on this blogging stuff!! This is Mabry's first day of school 9-2-08. She was so excited. I was trying to be brave for her. She has so much courage...cute little sassy thing her. I was trying to film her getting on the bus and she just kept telling me..."mom, I have to go". Like she was embarrassed that I was filming her. ahhhhhhhh and to think - she is only in kindergarten.

Bragging Rights!!

First - I am not done w/ the San Fran trip just haven't had/made time to finish....I WILL FINISH. (that's what she said)
But I have to brag a little about the hubby...He has decided to add photography or furtography (however you say it) to his many talents. I must brag a little and say that he has a good eye (the other one is bad). This is just one that I can get my hands on right now. I will post more as I see them being done on his computer. Again...I am so sneaky!!

Mabes b-day pinata!

This is what Mabes wanted for her b-day...a pinata. Well Daddy came thru and got her the best pinata ever (it had little mermaid on it and was purple). We had sooooo much fun w/ this and have decided to make it a family tradition. We took some video of this...dobt I will get it on here though. Sorry...Hey if you want to see it that bad you can come over and we will have a night filled w/ home movies.

Mabes, Gramma Betty and Pappa Diggs...this was for a 24th of July (yes, I have pics from that far back) parade in our neighborhood. We decorated Mabry's scooter w/ balloons and streamers. She decided she wanted to walk so I had errrr...I mean got to ride her scooter.

This is Mabes checking out the bulls @ the Rodeo...She wore her Halloween costume from last year because well...she was a cowgirl and it was the perfect outfit to wear to the rodeo. Everyone made comments about her. She looked darling as usual!

GRIPES!

I know, I know, I know....I haven't blogged in a while. I have much to put on but it will have to wait for a time when things aren't so CRAZY!! I did just want to mention...Mabes b-day is coming up. We had gotten her some Barbie golf clubs for her b-day but Chuckles couldn't wait to give them to her so she got them in June!! tehe. So I was asking Mabry what she wanted for her b-day. Being the funny little girl she is...she wants *a pinata and her ears pierced*. Not too much to ask right? Oh and did I mention she still wants a farm and a real little horse that moves. She is the best!! Love you Mabes!

Funny Mabes - AWKWARD

My Mabes is so funny!! We were in church yesterday...one of the speakers had lost their place in their talk so there was a slight uncomfortable silence... Mabes piped up and said "AWKWARD". Chuck was crying he was laughing so hard. My sweet silly Mabes! Gotta love her!

Pineview Dam

We went to Pineview yesterday and had loads of fun playing in the h20 w/ cousins and g-parents. Mabry has turned into a little fish this year and loves being in the water w/ her life-jacket. They love to play waterhorse and just do silly things little girls do. Thanks so much to grandma and grandpa for making time to take us. Mabry actually rode in the tube w/ me. She didn't want to @ first but her cousin Jinelle did it w/ her mommy so that made it ok. She had fun and was waving to everyone in the boat. A few waves here and there but she did great. Then.....dum dum dum...not sure what happened but both of us were in the water. Maybe it was a tiger musky that tipped the tube over?? I didn't even think the boat was moving. Really not sure how we fell out but we did and Mabes was so mad @ me. I could her my dad (pappa diggs) laughing while I was under the water. Not kiddin'...It could not have been better though. Now Mabes knows that you can fall out of a tube and still live to tell about it. Nobody got hurt and she told daddy that it was fun.
