Dusty Attic Butterfly Layout

I created this layout by applying a thick layer of texture paste and then pressing stamps into the design.  The large butterfly was a foam stamp and the smaller one was created with a Dusty Attic chipboard butterfly.  The chipboard was used as a tool to create the background and then I cleaned it off and saved for another project.  After the texture paste dried, I applied gelatos to create a blended background of lavender and pinks.

This layout is submitted into the following challenges...

Pop Cola Fizz Card - Robin's Nest DT

Using two different sizes of Dew Drops in three colors really added lovely dimension and a sense of movement.  Notice how the shades of brown vary depending on whether they have red or white paper behind them.  I hope you will visit my complete tutorial on The Robin's Nest Blog HERE.  There are also two additional soda pop themed cards to inspire you.  Enjoy!

Jeweled Seahorse Card - The Robin's Nest DT

I really enjoyed using this canvas from The Robin's Nest as a project base instead of card stock. Because it has a plastic-like texture, moisture from mists/paints do not warp it. Before coloring the canvas, I added a texture to it by putting it in an embossing folder.  I find all underwater creatures magical because of how they move and glide effortlessly. I hope you enjoy my magical seahorse creation.  The step by step tutorial can be found HERE.
My card is submitted into the following challenges...

Supplies:
Creative Dew Drop Canvas - Artsy Seahorse
Sea Glass Tear Drops
Water Dew Drops
Raindrops Dew Drops
spray mists (blue & green)
paint brush
Glossy Accents transparent medium
glitter glue

Blog Hop - Blank Page Muse New Stamp Release

Welcome to BPM Blog Hop to celebrate BPM releasing five new sets.  BPM's trademark is high quality rubber with deeply etched unique images . Follow along the blog hop to each of the marvelous designers and find some wonderful inspiration using the new designs.  I'm sure you will love them all.
My cards feature the set "Kindness Changes Everything" by Shaloo Webster.  I created two cards using the same stamp to create two very different looks for the background. Using different colors and techniques really allows one to stretch their supplies. With the same design, I created a distressed card, as well as, a clean and elegant card.

Enjoy the rest of the BPM Hop and join us tomorrow as more projects will be shared.
For the first card, I created a resist by heat embossing the design with clear powder and then applyied mists over it.  (Kindness Changes Everything by Shaloo Webster)

TIP: After the sprays have dried be sure to take a tissue and gently wipe
over the embossed images to remove the mist that dried on the embossing powder.
Doing so will really make the design pop.

For the second card, I heat embossed with two colors simultaneously. I blended gold & purple to create a unique intermingling of colors. (Kindness Changes Everything)

Under the Sea - Blank Page Muse

Let's create an underwater bubbly paradise.  I was inspired by the words- freedom, explore, and adventure.  Instead of going underground like Alice in Wonderland, I went underwater.  It seems a bit funny to me that my project features a seahorse that can't take an actual first step but it is still in the adventurous spirit.  If you are intimidated by creating inky backgrounds, this is the perfect place to start because whatever you create with texture stamps and watercolors or sprays, it will look wonderful. It's great because you can't really mess it up.  That is a great feeling of "Freedom"  Let's dive in!  To see the full tutorial, visit the Blank Page Muse Blog HERE.
I colored the intricate sea horse with metallic mica powder and then
added Glossy Accents for a super shiny finish.
