Hello all,
happy weekend.I am here today to share my mixed media piece i did just for fun.I was actually cleaning my table to start working on a order work and found some bits n pieces of embellishments laying on table which dint make it to the projects.I was so lazy to keep them each one of them on their place n suddenly the idea of this piece strikes off.I was waiting to try something with black gesso for quiet some time,so quickly grabbed a piece of chipboard and stuck all those embellishments. Then painted the whole thing with a coat of Heavy black gesso.Once it dried i randomly painted them with Silk acrylic glaze-Iridescent colors.I just love silks to use on my layouts, the shine it gives is amazing. But using Iridescent color for first time, they just look white in the bottle, and doesn't show off on lighter color surfaces, but it looks awesome over black gesso.I was actually jumping like a kid while it came in contact with black gesso,a little color goes a long way and it gives a amazing jewel tone.Hope you liked my quick project, see ya all soon :)
Thanks for stopping by,
Happy crafting,

Mixed media wall hanging
Hello ppl,
happy sunday.I am here with my latest project for Prima's product pick(PPP) for august.I just loved the pastel color palette. After a unsuccessful day in my craft room yesterday i literally thought of giving it up.I really couldn't decide what to make,i have tried a layout and i was not so happy.Tried few ideas for cards, but all in vain.So again today morning while thinking of what to do(i seriously wanted to do something stunning,as the level of competition is very high) again my mind went blank and i was very upset with my yesterdays failures. So randomly i took a piece of pattern paper and playing with some stencils, texture paste n chalk edgers thinking of making a mixed media card(with no hope of doing some good work) suddenly i saw the colors i used came together perfectly and i kind of started liking it.
So i went ahead and added some more layers with pattern paper pieces, texture paste and cheese cloth. After it dried i added some more colors(i have used prima chalk edgers n geletos ) and added one more layer with prima doily and cheese cloth. So now the color palette came out perfectly,i took some of my prima embellishments and i really like how it looked all together. So i have changed my mind and decided to make it as a panel:) as the resin n metal embellishment made it quite heavy for a card. I stucked the pattern paper to a pieceof 6 by 6 chipboard. And then added some prima leaves, flowers and butterflies.I have also used some sugar dots and swirls for finishing touch.Hope it turned out ok,please your views:)
Here is the color palette for this month,i just loved all the new products.cant wait to have them in hand:)
