Things I Find, Again

Way back in late January, when I started blogging again, I wrote a post about the things I find around the house.  I did a follow up post to that one in April, seen here.  And, here we are for round three, because this really is where I am at in life, and I want to remember the funny things I find around our house all the time.

Exhibit A - This little car was a gift that Lily has been carrying around almost everywhere since she got it a couple of weekends ago.  She routinely stuffs it full of crayons, one of which is still hanging out in the back seat, unable to be freed, and you can see the crayon markings on the front seat.  Poor little bug.

The shoe obsession continues.  The other night, John was shutting our windows and said, "You need to come look at this."  That is exactly where I wanted those shoes.

Finding the letters like this made me smile, as it seems it was intended to do.

Sometimes I find myself asking the question, "Am I raising a lab puppy or a two-year-old?"  She still chews or tears apart things before I even realize it is happening.  For Craft Night last week, I bought this plumbing insulation.  When I got home, I realized that Lily had torn little pieces off of it and tucked them into her car seat.

Then, while making dinner last week, I looked over and realized that she was chewing on a loaf of bread through the bag.  What?  Why, Lily?  Why would you do that?  It is really weird!  The loaf of bread was mostly toast (haha) after that.

This was not Lily's fault, but my own.  Thankfully, there was no permanent whipped cream damage.

That wraps up this segment of "Things I Find."  Hopefully I have amused and entertained you, and I know it will make me laugh so hard when I read it years from now.  For now, I just have to remember that bread is cheap, shoes can be put back where they go, and little yellow cars are perfect for holding crayons.

oh my gosh. I am SO glad to know someone else's child chews and bites weird stuff too. Seriously, we didn't have to ever worry about our dog biting our furniture, but B has nearly bitten a hole in the leather couch almost twice now. It's INSANE.

PS-- someone told me that the Leapfrog letter thing you have doesn't accurately do the letters each time (ie you put a D in and it says it's a G). I was thinking of getting that for B for Christmas, but was confused after I heard from that lady. Have you had problems like that?
