What's Bailey sayin' ?

First off I would like to say that everyone seems to like the polka dot theme!  I got some great ideas from you all and did some more researching myself.  I went out to Michael's and the dollar store last night and picked up a few things, so I will show those after I get started on making some things.

Anyways I just wanted to post some things that Bailey has been saying.  She doesn't stop talking or rambling on most of time.  I really can't watch the news or a TV show because she talks so much.

She is now saying "Laa You" aka Love you.

She says "hold you" all the time when she wants to be held.

When I tell her she can't do something right now she tilts her head to the side and says "Later?"  I guess I say that too much.

She carries her babies around and looks at them and says "You cute."

She will also look at clothes in her closet or even in a store and say "That's cute."

She started calling "daddy" Jason the other day!  I guess we are on a first name basis these days.

Last night Jason was changing her diaper and she wouldn't listen and he raised his voice saying "Bailey Shae" and she looked at him and said "Bwouse."

She is obsessed with boo boos.  She makes sure we put medicine on them all the time and a band aid.  Every time we do it she points out everywhere she has had a boo boo before.  Then she says "more" because she likes them I guess.

She is into singing songs with hand motions.  We sing patty cake, itsy bitsy spider, hokey pokey, if your happy and you know it, and pearly shells from the Mickey Mouse beach party.

She is really talking all the time and doing so well. We have an evaluation with the speech therapist at the end of June to see where she stands and if we need as many sessions with her.  One thing I have learned is she is now at the age we have to watch what we say.  I was doing something in the kitchen and said "Crap" and she repeated it.  I know its not that bad of a word, but not something I want my 2 year old to say.

PS. Do you know how hard it is to get pop tart out of a dolls mouth that completely opens???

Hope everyone had a great mothers day!  I sure did!  I actually have just enjoyed the whole weekend loving on my sweet little girl.

Opinions please!!!

OK as we all know Baileys birthday is at the end of this month.  She is going to be 2 years old!!!! I can not believe she is going to be so old!  I will save the sob story for another day, we have a huge problem on our hands.  I can not figure out what to do for her birthday!  I bought this dress below in Louisiana a few months back with all intentions of doing her birthday party around this dress.  Well I couldn't get any cute ideas for it.  So I thought I will just go with a Mickey/Minnie theme because she is obsessed with them right now.  Let me remind you...I am not a fan of characters.  I will buy character things when she is old enough to ask for them, until then I choose, especially clothes (sorry Mommy's who like them).

Anyways, my idea with the dress is to do everything in polka dots.  Then do lots of round candy and lollipops.

Opinions please!!  Stick with the dress or go with Mickey/Minnie?????

Jasons 28th started bright and early....

Warning:  Major picture overload. After I started looking through the pictures I realized there were
A LOT!

Saturday was Jason's 28th Birthday!  I hope you had a great day, Jason.  We love you very much and can't wait to spend many more with you!

May is such a busy month for us.  We have Jason's birthday, our anniversary, Mothers day, and Bailey's birthday.  So we try to combine presents for the few holidays this month. Sometimes we don't even do gifts for each other or we just both guy buy something we want ourselves.

Well this Saturday on Jason's birthday we started really early.  We did the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk.  We had to get up at 6 for us to get ready and that's a really early start for us!  My mom has been diagnosed with cancer twice in the past 3 years.  She has gone through chemo twice and radiation once.  My aunt has been diagnosed once before and now they have found more spots on her recently.  So Jason, Bailey, Mom, Dad, Sister, Aunt, and Cousin all walked in the walk.  Its amazing how many people were there to support the cause.

A group of survivors.

Bailey doesn't get up this early......
Can you tell by this look??

We tried to get some pictures together but she wasn't happy about it.

Finally getting in a better mood.
She rode in the stroller most of the time then we let her out for a break.
My sister insisted on an action picture....ha
My aunt and cousin
She insisted that Papaw carry majority of the time
The time we finished the race.
They finished the 3 mile race!!!  They both have bad knees and sometimes my mom can barely walk through the house sometimes because her knee is so bad!  She has been taking her Osteo Bi-Flex to get ready.

Jason, Bailey, and my sister finishing right behind.
Survivors!!

Standing there out of no where Bailey starts posing because that's what she does around the camera.

Clapping for more walkers coming in,.
We tried to get a family picture..ha...as you can tell that didn't happen.
So we got one with out the model!
We also found a grasshopper that Bailey was totally disgusted by.

If you made it through all these pictures thank you!  Hope you enjoyed.

Sick and Haircut

As I sit here and type I am literally coughing up my lungs.   It all started this past Friday and I thought I was getting the flu.  Well it wasn't the flu but the cold that I had turned into bronchitis.  So far I have had chills, body aches, stuffy nose, drainage, cough, and lost my voice for a day.  Right now I feel like I have worked out my abs for hours because I have coughed so much.  I finally went to the doc and I have bronchitis...duhh!  I knew that, I just wanted the meds to fix it.  Hopefully it will be gone is a few short days!  I had my tonsils out in 2004 and have not been sick since then.  But in the matter of two months I have had the stomach flu and now bronchitis!  I am so over being sick!

Baileys first haircut April 20, 2010
We took Bailey last week to get her hair trimmed.  I either put the front of her hair back in a clip or we put all of it up in a ponytail.  I didn't want to get bangs cut because I am just not a fan of them.  So we are letting the front grow out to be even with the back.

I really thought it was going to be a huge disaster.  I got my done first so she would see what it was like.

As you can tell she was too interested in eating her cereal bar than fighting Danielle.
It also helped Danielle cut it in the seat Bailey was already sitting in.  So we didn't have to fight to get her sit in a real chair.
Honestly, you cant really tell she got it cut.  The main thing was to just straighten it up.  It definitely curls up better than before (except the front is straight as a board).

Reading is fun!

Bailey is  obsessed with reading her books.  I thought I would take her to the libary and see how she liked it.  She loved it!!!  She was into everything, luckily no one else was in the kid section that day.
She colored.
She sat in the big girl chair.
And made sure she checked out all kinds of books.

We got a few books to bring home.  Curios Geroge being the favorite!  We got some potty books to look at because hopefully we are going to start with that as soon as school is out and Jackson isn't here.

Blog makeover!!!!

OK!!  In case you didn't notice I got a blog makeover. Isn't it beautiful?  I decided it was time to change it up and decided to have someone else do it that knew what they were doing.  Stephanie at Dirt and Lace Designs did it for me.  Let me tell you she is amazing to work with.  I am pretty sure I saw every option there was and changed things around a million times. I have really big issues of letting up control.  I really wanted a blog makeover and someone to do it, but was really scared to death of the outcome.  It turned out amazing!!  Thank you so much Stephanie for dealing with me.  If you are looking for someone to do your blog she is definately your girl.  Let me know what you think!

Great Parents

Everyone loves to celebrate a birthday!  Well at the end of March every year we get a double celebratation of birthdays.  My moms birthday is March 28th and my dads is the 31st.  I want to wish them the very best birthday ever.  When I think of the type of parent I want to be it is exactly what I saw while growing up.  They genuinely are the nicest people you will ever meet.  They will be married for 30 years at the end of the year.  They have always supported me and my sister in everything we ever wanted to do or not do.

My mom:  She is the strongest person I know.  She is a two time breast cancer survivor within the past 4 years.  She never once let it get her down and always made people think she was alright.  She is always there for us no matter what.  She would give the shirt off her back to someone if she had too.

HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY!!!!
My dad:  He is always the strong one in the family.  He has been through his share of medical problems too, but you would never know.  He is the one that always makes hard times seem a lot easier.  He can never sit still and always has to be doing something.  He is dying to cut the grass right now if the weather would cooperate.  He would go without just to get me and my sister what we needed.

Happy 63rd BIRTHDAY!!

They both love Bailey so much and spoil her way too much.  She adores them both.  Everytime we get her dressed to go somewhere she thinks she is going to Mamaw and Papaws.  She is now starting to cry when we leave there.

Anyways I just want to wish them a very happy birthday.  Thank you for loving me and my family and being the best example of parents I could ask for.  Thank you for everything!!

I have come to realize I dont pull my camera out much when I am around people because I am too busy socializing.  As you can tell I don't have any recent pictures of Bailey with them.  I need to work on that.  Have a great day!

Where does …….

the time go?  We finally got some nice weather here the past few days.  We have been outside a few times but I am still a little leery of the chilly wind so we don’t stay out for long amounts of time.  I know am a worry wart, but that’s just me.  I snapped this picture at lunch time today and remember I had one from spring time last year that was pretty similar.  Isn’t funny how fast they change and seem so mature less in less than a year?  At least we got rid of the ponytail on top that everyone called a waterfall.  Its not a waterfall ok???
21st month
I believe I am back to blogging.  I know its difficult to get through the day when I don’t post regularly! haha kidding.    I have lots and lots of pictures to catch you up on.  We have had play dates, visitors, and tons of stories to share with you.  We have one more little trip coming up this weekend and I am taking a break from traveling.  Plus spring break is around the corner and I don’t have to babysit for a whole week! We will miss you Jacksypoo. This also means that you will see the finished product of what happened here.
