Bee Am Double You

I am back from Kuantan. Met some new friends. Real f**kers I tell you. I had some wild moments over there. For the three continous night in Kuantan we've been drinking in the hotel room. I wonder if KL people are going through a lot of stress cuz out of eight of us (including the supervisor), six of them smoke. Man, I almost died suffocating in the room. I thought letting go a fart at that time would be the best smell ever.

However on the other hand, getting a chance to work outstation has a different kind of experience for me. There were six of us in a team of crew, lead by a supervisor. And three female usher which only arrived on the Saturday morning.

We were located at this BMW outlet:
The Auto Bavaria showroom at Jalan Teluk Sisek

That's Gerald and Santosh working on the boards

Setting up the whole thing took us quite some time, from setting up the metal trusses to hanging each of every piece of the board. We finished everything at three in the morning before checking-in the hotel.

During the three days in Kuantan, we stayed in M.S. Garden hotel which was just a few minutes walk from the place we worked. The room where Gerald, Santosh and I shared was quite big. It has three single bed and comes with a huge bathroom.

This is where they all gather at night to smoke and drink
There is a big pool below

It was funny seeing the way Gerald and Santosh spoke to each other. Let me recall one of the conversation:

Gerard: India, jom pegi beli minum.
Santosh: Eh apa India India?! *pissed* Aku ade panggil korang Cina-cina tak?
Gerard: U memang India ma.
Santosh: Aku Christian la.
Gerard: Eh. Itu religion la fucker.
Santosh: Cilaka.

After our work on the Saturday night, the three of us managed to enjoy the free sauna, steam and jacuzzi facilities in the hotel, since it was free after all. =)

On Sunday we started to pack all the things and stuff after the showroom was closed at 6pm. It was much easier and faster compared with the day we assembled them. In about two to three hours we finished packing and waited for the lorry to come.

Last night in Kuantan. Non-stop drinking

This is Joshephine by the way. Mixed of Chinese and Portugese. She is currently working and studying law part time. And she just passed her 21st birthday! She was also one of the usher stayed for one extra night with us wherelse the two others back to KL on Sunday night itself.
Josephine and I. She likes to talk.

The Nintendo Wii was one of the game activity in the showroom and we brought back it to the hotel on the last day. The wireless controller is really amazing where you can swing it in every direction.

Spending My Weekend in Kuantan

TODAY I am leaving for Kuantan working as a crew member for a BMW event. The event will be held nationwide on this coming Saturday and Sunday. Basically what we need to do is to set up the exhibition area from the lighting to the game booth, as they will be launching a new model of BMW if I’m not mistaken.

It is not easy as I thought. Yesterday together with Liang and Teck Yong, we went to the warehouse in Bandar Sri Damansara for a short brief and met up with our respective supervisor. Later on we had to move all the stuff into the trucks which will be delivered to all over Malaysia.

Liang will be going to Malacca and Teck Yong is sent to Ipoh. Accommodation, transportation and food will be all provided during these three days.

According to the guy who briefed us earlier, there will be also part time working female ushers located on every station and based on previous experiences, he reminded all of us (as we are all guys) NOT TO get so close or hang out with the girl while the event is going on. Not even a date at night. All we have to do is just focus on our job scope.

If we wish to get to know the girls or you know, make new friend with them, we were advised to do so after the event ended. This is to make sure that nothing 'terrible' happen and to keep the reputation of the company clean. Haha.

Apart from that, if we see any female customer wearing short skirt or a very low shirt getting into one of the cars in the showroom, it is better to look away than starring at what we are not suppose to see. This, again, is to make sure we do not get distracted with our work.

About what work I’ll be doing in this two, three days, I have yet to get a clear picture. So far we just have to assemble the backdrop, metal steel etc. on the first day and dismantle them on the last day of the event.

It’ll be my very first time getting this kind of job and having it on outstation, I hope there will be much experiences to gain although the pay is only RM100 per day for there are so many things to do. Looking at the brighter side, at least we get to stay in hotel for free and travel to Kuantan.

Dunno got free seafood to eat or not??

I Saw Spiderman at 1 Utama

I was shopping at 1 Utama with family during the last weekend. On that same day Spiderman was having a day break to have a photo taking session with the kids.
Spiderman (not the front guy, the back one)
Spiderman's shooting the sticky stuff
Spiderman's butt
1 Utama was having a carnival to promote their ONE card on that day. Few of my friends were working there. And few days before that, Taw Jin called and asked if I wana get a part time job for only a day. What we needed to do was to pack the goodie bags. The pay was RM75 from 10am til 7pm. I agreed to him since I got nothing to do at home and at the same time I can earn some side income. Taw Jin was looking for two person so I called Perry along, since he is also doing nothing at home during the holiday.
At 1 Utama Perry and I looked for the Teresa, the person in charge, which happen to be my ex-classmate’s sister! She brought us into a room where all the vouchers and coupons were. Another girl was already there. Our job was to arrange the vouchers and coupons and to be put into the goodie bags later on.

After finish arranging all the vouchers, we then moved to an empty outlet downstairs where we were going to pack it into the goodie bags. We were also require to put in bottles of mineral water, 1U magazines, chocolates, notebooks etc. into the bags. And we were required to pack 3000 of them!!!

Blackout for 40 mins on that day

By the time it was 6.30pm, we only managed to pack about 1500 goodie bags. So Teresa asked whether Perry and I could come on the following day. And we will be paid extra. Well, both of us agreed since we have nothing to do at home except sleeping.

On the next day, Perry and I continue to pack the goodie bags. We had to open the paper bags, arrange them accordingly, then insert all the stuff into it, one by one. As the place was limited, we had to stack them up together so that we can arrange the other paper bags. We finished packing at about 9 something at night. Then Perry's dad fetched us back.
