Friends of Speedy TV Challenge 88 - Frame It!

Frame It!  That is what we are challenged with this week at FOSTV.

I wasn't sure how to tackle this challenge but I found this pink piece in my stash which I decided would frame an image.  I then decided to cut a frame for my sentiment too. The image is from Holly Jolly Greetings and the sentiment is from Poinsettia Blooms.  Please head over to the FOSTV challenge page and check out challenge 88 - we would love to see your creations.

Another Christmas card for CCC13 but I could not keep to all pink!

Gift Card Box - Snowlady

Marks Finest Papers Blog Hop is next week so I have a few things in the pipeline but the only thing I have to share with you right now is a box that I have prepared to hold the gift card I have bought for my niece for Christmas.

I have used the Snowlady from the Marks Finest Papers set called Holly Jolly Greetings and I have die cut snowflakes using Memory Box and Spellbinders dies.

The box was in my stash, not doing anything so I am glad I have been able to re-use it.

I am entering this project in the Sentimental Sundays challenge.

FOSTV49 - Christmas Card

Happy Monday to you.  We are into Advent now and Christmas will be upon us before we know it.  I started writing our cards last night and I think I now have enough made - two of them are shown here as today's FOSTV challenge is Christmas cards.  We would love you to join our challenge and the prize set for one lucky entrant is Christmas Greetings.  It is a lovely set so worth getting your creative juices flowing for!
Christmas Greetings Stamp Set

My 1st card uses the window from Enjoy the View, the tree from Tree Selections (I think) and the brick from Brick Wall Mini.  I used acetate for the window and embroidery silk plus gems on the tree.

My second card uses an embossing folder for the brick work, my Cricut for the stockings, a punch for the garland and MFP sets called Christmas Selections and Holly Jolly Greetings.  I hope you like these two.

Please check out the other FOSTV team members blogs and also the challenge on Friends of Speedy TV.  Have a great week.

FOSTV48 - Snowman and Snowlady

This week's challenge at FOSTV is to make a snowman card, but as last week's challenge did not get posted due to technology issues there are actually two challenges right now - check it out here. I actually made a Snowman and a Snowlady card.

My snowlady uses the stamp from Holly Jolly Greetings.  It is decorated with snowflakes made with mainly Spellbinders dies.

My snowman uses the image from Snow Gifts Mini.

If you find a few spare moments then please play along with us.  Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the blog hop.

MFP October Blog Hop - Christmas Selections

Welcome to Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Company's
   October Blog Hop!

This month's New Stamp Set Releases are
Christmas Selections Featured October 23
Poinsettia Blooms Featured October 24
Cracked Hello Featured October 25
On The Fly Featured October 26

This month I offered to make one of the additional cards and was asked to use this set.  To be honest I was panicking about having to make more than one card with tiny little stamps, which incidentally I often lose track of, but once I got the stamps and started there was no stopping me!
Christmas Selections Watermark

This first card uses SC235 for my layout and the santas from the set plus the Ho! from Holly Jolly Greetings

This second card uses the sketch SC321 and I remembered my little Cuttlebug strips when it came to the little red strip.  The santa and snowmen are from the set (I think one is a snow woman!) and the sentiment from the set we are showing tomorrow - Poinsettia Blooms.

For this card I used my Spellbinders mittens die and two of the little birds.  The sketch I used was SC329.  I coloured the mittens with Copics doing the background first so I could give it a little texture.

My last card uses the technique from TLC399 but instead of water I used a pearl mist.  I used the poinsettia, pine cone and church from the set.  I may make some more of these and use them as little "thank you" cards.

This is a great set!

Please hop along with us! You have a chance to win one of the above stamp sets! Just comment on the following blogs (don't forget this one), each day for more chances to win! (You do NOT have to comment on all the blogs each day! The names are drawn randomly!)
All four winners will be announced on October 27, 2012 on the Mark's Finest Papers blog. You can go back and comment if you missed a day. (HINT: The more you comment, the more chances you have to win and comments on the MFP blog count twice!)
The deadline for commenting is 11PM EST on Friday October 26, 2012.

Playing the numbers game

I wanted to make a card for this weeks Jugs challenge which was a wild card one to include a number but I also wanted to try and improve my Christmas card collection.  I also decided to try and make the card in line with the Sentimental Sundays 3-2-1 challenge - yet more numbers.

This is the card I came up with.  It has 1 image (the santa from Holly Jolly Greetings), 2 sentiment panels (can't remember the company) and 3 gems to finish the card at the bottom.

I used the SC403 sketch but turned it to a vertical rather than horizontal strip.  The ink is Memento Rusty Hinge sponged and then stamped.  The holly is just embellished with Copics.

Thank you for checking this out.

MFP September Stamps - 5th Set preview

Tomorrow is the start of Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Company's September Blog Hop!

Today I am showing you a card made with a set which is part of the September release but is not part of the hop.

The set is called Holly Jolly Greetings.  I used 14th September Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch for this card but used a Spellbinders shape rather than a basic rectangle.

Please pop back tomorrow to see more new goodies and for your chance to win some of the new sets.
