Thug Tactics: Senate Banking Committee to Probe S&P

Sure, this ought to help get America's credit standing back to where it was.
The Senate Banking committee has begun probing last week's decision by Standard and Poor's to downgrade the U.S. credit rating, a committee aide told Reuters on Monday.

The aide said the panel was gathering information about the S&P move but no decision had been made on whether it will hold hearings into the downgrade.
Would they ever accept responsibility? Hell no.
Congressional Democrats on Monday lashed out at Standard & Poor's, labeling the firm's decision to strip U.S. debt of its triple-A rating as "irresponsible" as stocks fell sharply on the first trading day following the downgrade.

But House Republican leaders watched the rout in the stock markets and warned colleagues not to feel pressured into raising taxes to address the U.S. debt of more than $14.3 trillion. The reactions underscored how lawmakers of all stripes are trying go back on offense and steer a path forward after being put on the defensive by the ratings firm's criticisms of a dysfunctional political process.

"I am deeply disappointed in S&P's decision to enter into the game of political punditry," Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Johnson (D., S.D.) said in a statement. He called the downgrade an "irresponsible move" that may " have spillover effects" such as higher borrowing costs for home buyers, credit- card holders, car buyers, and state and local governments.
Running up trillions in debt apparently isn't irresponsible.

After today's 634-point plunge, expect a repeat tomorrow.

Chicago Man Cited for Trying to Sabotage Fox News Truck in Madison

Remember, the left just loves free speech. As long as they can regulate it.
A Chicago man was ticketed for allegedly disconnecting extension cords for cameras and lights on a Fox News truck on the Capitol Square Tuesday, Madison police reported.

Dan Edelstein, 23, was cited for disorderly conduct by Madison police after he allegedly yanked the cords from the outlets on the outside of the Fox News truck at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

The network wasn't broadcasting at the time, so Fox News Channel viewers weren't left in the dark about the latest goings-on from Madison.
The Chicago Way.

The New Tone: Leftists Decry 'Racist' Tea Party, Want to 'String Up' Clarence Thomas and Kill Rupert Murdoch

My, what a tolerant bunch. This ugly scene took place the other day as the goon squads rioted outside a meeting where the dreaded Koch brothers were in attendance.

Curious how little interest the media had in covering this lynch mob. But remember, tea partiers are violent or something.

'Journalists and Pundits Should Not Manufacture a Blood Libel That Serves Only to Incite the Very Hatred and Violence They Purport to Condemn'

I disagree with Sarah Palin on this one. These people are no longer journalists. They're Democrat Party operatives and propagandists disguised as journalists. If they were real journalists they'd be investigating Sheriff Dupnik Nifong.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) on Wednesday accused the media of "blood libel" by looking to assign blame for the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.).

Palin offered a pointed defense of herself and other political leaders who used sometimes heated rhetoric on the 2010 campaign trail — rhetoric some Democrats say created an environment that fueled the assassination attempt against Giffords.

"After this shocking tragedy, I listened at first puzzled, then with concern, and now with sadness, to the irresponsible statements from people attempting to apportion blame for this terrible event," Palin said in a lengthy statement and accompanying video on her Facebook page.

Palin lashed out at the media, one of her traditional targets, saying they fueled the notion that rhetoric played a role in the Arizona attack.

"But, especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn," she wrote. "That is reprehensible."
Now that the primary target of the media's wrath has spoken out, they won't retreat. They'll just reload and double down on their incendiary rhetoric, whose primary purpose is to destroy Palin. After two plus years of it, it apparently hasn't worked.

'If Beck Isn't Stopped, I Think We'll Have Another Oklahoma City [bombing] in This Country'

The Washington Post plants a sloppy wet kiss on the goons at Media Matters, who apparently have decided it's time to "stop" Glenn Beck. How they plan to "stop" Beck isn't made clear. Seems maybe they hope someone offs him.
In recent weeks, Media Matters has gone from simply publicizing what it deems to be Fox's misinformation to actively campaigning against the network. The organization has posted a Web page with an online petition that asks Fox's advertisers to "Drop Fox," that is, stop sponsoring the network.

Brock says the campaign, which predates Soros's contribution to Media Matters, is justified by Fox's refusal to rein in Beck. Brock and Media Matters blame Beck for inciting violent threats against the Tides Foundation, as well as a shootout in July between California police and a gunman who authorities said intended to attack Tides' headquarters. Tides chief executive and founder, Drummond Pike, has endorsed Media Matters' campaign.

"Every sponsor of every Fox show should be put on notice that this insanity is being underwritten by [advertisers]," Brock says. He adds: "If Beck isn't stopped, I think we'll have another Oklahoma City [bombing] in this country."
So advertisers are being "put on notice" and Glenn Beck must be "stopped." If I didn't know better I would say these thugs are making threats.

Obama to Kids: Stop the Bullying; Obama to Latinos: Punish Your Enemies

We could take this seriously if his thugs from the unions didn't casually go around beating up people. First, the president pushes a campaign urging kids not to bully others.
“We’ve got to dispel the myth that bullying is just a normal rite of passage, or an inevitable part of growing up. It’s not,” President Obama said in a written statement. “We have an obligation to ensure that our schools are safe for all of our kids. Every single young person deserves the opportunity to learn and grow and achieve their potential, without having to worry about the constant threat of harassment.”
Tell that to Kenneth Gladney, a victim of union thuggery. Yes, a victim of Obama's own supporters. To date we haven't heard a word of condemnation from Obama. Instead, the thugs on the left call him an Uncle Tom.

At the last State of the Union address, who was it bullying the Supreme Court?
Obama the Bully, at his State of the Union address, had the temerity to criticize the Supreme Court of the United States for its new ruling that companies have a right to free speech in political campaign advertising (a right that unions already enjoyed, by the way). He did this as the justices themselves sat before him in the audience, paying their respects to a leader who showed them none.

Perhaps President Obama had forgotten an American civics lesson: The Supreme Court is the supreme law of the land. It is unseemly and disrespectful for a President to so bluntly and blatantly question the justices’ judgment and intent—especially right in front of their faces.
Who's the man who just yesterday urged his constituents to punish their enemies? Oh, right, it was Barack Obama.
“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”

Referring specifically to Republicans such as Senator John McCain, who are stressing border security and supporting strict immigration laws like Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration measure, Mr. Obama said, “Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values.”
Who was it who spoke violent rhetoric during his 2008 campaign. Oh, right, it was Barack Obama.
“I might have to put Mr. Burgess on Fox News!” said Obama as the crowd cheered. “I’ll put Mr. Burgess up against Sean Hannity. He’ll tear him up.”
Need any more examples of bullying by Obama supporters? How about some SEIU thuggery. You'll recognize those purple shirts. They're the same people who beat up Kenneth Gladney.

It's all well and good for the president to urge kids not to bully each other, but maybe he ought to get his own supporters in line before lecturing anyone else.

Pathetic: Endangered Democrats Claim GOP Is Taking Foreign Donations

A pretty ridiculous claim from a party whose leader raked in more money from British Petroleum than anyone else. Even lamer, the pinheads pushing this story are bought and paid for by convict George Soros.

Just making it up as they go along.
Endangered Democrats in several key Senate races are seizing on what they say is evidence that foreign interests are helping fuel their opponents' campaigns.

Sens. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.), Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) and Ohio Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher (D) have blasted their opponents for benefiting from campaign spending by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which accepts foreign contributions to its general treasury fund.

The criticism is part of a broader Democratic strategy, outlined by White House political strategist David Axelrod in a July meeting with Senate Democrats, to paint Republicans as the defenders of corporate special interests.

Fisher is accusing his opponent, former Rep. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), of getting an indirect boost from foreign-owned corporate interests.

The Democratic campaigns have seized on a report published earlier this week by ThinkProgress, a blog affiliated with the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank.

“This new report is alarming — companies that are directly benefiting from the trade policies that Congressman Portman has fought for may be funding political ads on his behalf,” said Holly Shulman, Fisher’s campaign spokeswoman, in a statement Thursday.

“These revelations suggest that foreign companies — and foreign governments — are trying to influence our elections, and Congressman Portman should call for the Chamber to stop running political ads until this troubling issue is resolved,” Shulman said.

Jessica Towhey, a spokeswoman for Portman’s campaign, said Fisher has wrongfully attacked a trade organization that represents U.S. businesses.

“Lt. Gov. Fisher’s campaign is embarrassing itself with false and inane attacks against Ohio’s job creators,” said Towhey. “While it may be politically expedient to ignore the 400,000 jobs lost in Ohio while Lee Fisher was asleep at the wheel, Ohioans will see through these desperate attempts to cover up a campaign that is failing just as much as Lee Fisher failed as the state’s Job Czar.”
Funny how the Soros thugs didn't protest when Obama was taking money from Palestinians back in 2008. In fact one report said Obama may have received as many as 37,000 foreign donations.

Seems to me attacking the Chamber of Commerce is a form of intimidation, and they're not backing down. They long ago soured on Obama and this is payback time. Expect more of this during dirty trick season.

Classy: Leftwing Douchebags Launch 'F*ck Tea' Campaign

I guess the Coffee Party and infiltrating the Tea Party rallies failed so miserably these pathetic twits are reduced to vulgarities.

Keep it classy, folks.
Last summer, Democrats argued that the Tea Party movement was the astroturf creation of corporate groups. Now that the grassroots conservative resurgence has emerged as a clear force on the right, the left is making a different case: That tea parties are simply the enemy.

To that end, the Agenda Project, a new, progressive group with roots in New York's fundraising scene and a goal of strengthening the progressive movement, has launched the "F.*.c.k. Tea project," which is aimed, the group's founder Erica Payne wrote in an email this morning, "to dismiss the Tea Party and promote the progressive cause."

""We will be launching new products in the next several months to help people all over the country F*ck Tea," Payne told POLITICO. "Products like a Glenn Beck Bowl Buddy (Beck B Scrubbin) and others are perfect holiday gifts or just a great way to say 'I love you and our country' to your spouse, friend or family.
That would be really creative if they actually did love this country.

Here's the "brains" behind this project. About what you'd expect. Naturally, she blogs at the HuffPost. Their contact info is here.

Tolerance: Fringe Leftwingers Take Aim at Target

Nothing like the Forces of Tolerance on the left abiding by the time-honored American tradition of free speech and association. Well, they agree with you if you donate to Democrats, of course. Dare to give money to a Republican and here comes the goon squad.
Mega-retailer Target has found itself in the bullseye of a customer uprising.

In the wake of the company's decision to donate $150,000 to a right-wing conservative's political campaign, former Target shoppers across the country are calling for a nation-wide boycott.

And the movement to protest the super-saver store is gaining buzz – and traction – on Facebook and Twitter, as a petition threatening a boycott of Target rebounds across the Internet.

“Target should stay out of politics, like I am gonna stay out of your store if you don't,” Facebook user Erlene Adair Harvey wrote on Target’s fan page.

Target Corp. made the significant donation to Minnesota political action committee MN Forward, which funds television ads for Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer.

The company’s support of Emmer has drawn a firestorm of controversy for the candidate’s hard-line conservative views – he opposes same-sex marriage and abortion, and supports Arizona's efforts to pass the controversial S.B. 1070 immigration bill.
Gee, he's so out of the mainstream, huh? Last I checked a majority of Americans were right in line with Emmer, with an overwhelming majority supporting SB 1070. And in case these drooling morons haven't realized it, the current occupant of the White House also claims he opposes gay marriage (take his word at face value). So if they donate money to him, using their own logic that makes them hatemongers.

But that's not OK with the thugs from MoveOn. Let them take their business elsewhere and spend more money while they're at it.
The protests have, so far, been confined to within Minnesota. But MoveOn is pushing for a much more deafening, national response -- targeting Target on Facebook in addition to an online ad campaign that was also launched on Tuesday.

Because Target is, itself, a trendsetter in the post-Citizens United world, the campaign against them could have a ripple effect throughout the political landscape. Either MoveOn succeeds in discouraging companies from, or giving them pause when, making forays into electoral politics (wary of angering potential customers) or it convinces these same companies that there is a small price to pay for putting money behind candidates.
Better yet. Conservatives and like-minded people who actually believe in free speech can now shop at Target to show their support. After all, we are in the majority. So bring it on, People of Stupid.

How Many Sestaks Are Out There?

Considering Joe Sestak was supposedly offered a job he apparently wasn't eligible for, it makes you wonder how many others are out there who've also been approached in The Chicago Way? Considering how beatable Chuckie Schumer's puppet Kirsten Gillibrand, the New York Post wonders aloud.
So the White House tried to bulldoze Pennsylvania Rep. Joe Sestak out of a primary challenge to GOP-turned-Democratic Sen. Arlen Specter?

Big deal.

The White House has been taking aspiring opponents of rookie New York Sen. Kirstin Gillibrand and squashing them like bugs for months now -- and nobody's made a federal case out of it.

Sure, it's moderately interesting that the designated bulldozer in the attempted Sestak disappearance turns out to have been Bill Clinton.

And it's also possible that offering Sestak a job to keep him out of the Senate race -- if that happened -- was a crime.
The line of potential challengers was long, yet they all just happened to find other things to do. Curious, isn't it?
She did little in her first year in office but reverse course on most positions she held during her single full term in the House -- while transforming herself into Chuck Schumer's shadow.

Potential opponents arose, only to be swept aside, including:

* Rep. Steve Israel (D-Long Island), whom Obama personally called and asked to drop out.

* Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-Manhattan), a principled liberal who nonetheless found it impossible to raise money with the White House blocking her.

* Ex-Rep. Harold Ford (D-Tenn.), with a strong pro-Wall Street message, could have overcome his out-of-state roots -- as Bobby Kennedy and Hillary Clinton did before him. But, as Ford acknowledged, the "heavy-handed tactics" of Obama's "party bosses" carried the day.

But not in Pennsylvania.

Sestak withstood the pressure -- and beat Specter. Too bad he didn't live here.
Nothing will happen in the Sestak case but they best justice will be seeing all of Obama's handpicked candidates being defeated.

Tea Partier Issues Death Threat: 'The Next Time I See You, You Will Be In a Box'

These tea partiers really need to control themselves. This wave of violent threats is really getting out of hand. Oh wait, it wasn't a tea partier? It was a Hollywood liberal and pal of dictator Hugo Chavez?
Actor Sean Penn threatened to kill a paparazzo if he ever ran into him again, according to a new lawsuit filed by the photographer, entertainment website TMZ reported Monday.

In a suit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Jordan Dawes claims Penn assaulted him by “kicking and punching” him as he filmed a documentary about paparazzi in October 2009.

Dawes says Penn broke his camera and said, “The next time I see you, you will be in a box."
These angry liberals really need to control themselves.

Ha Ha Ha: Far-Left Kooks Demand Apology From Conservatives

Oh sure, as soon as you apologize for Code Pink. And all those Bush-Hitler signs. And those Molotov cocktails hurled at McCain supporters. And the Obama donor who threatened Eric Cantor. And Kerry staffers slashing tires. And spitting on pro-lifers. And brutally assaulting Kenneth Gladney. And planning to come out and kill somebody, I guess.

Apologize for all that and maybe we can talk.

Until then, blow it out your ass.
Three liberal groups will drop off a petition at the Republican National Committee’s headquarters Thursday, urging conservative leaders to “take responsibility” for threats and incidents of vandalism against Democrats.

The event is being organized by the Brave New Foundation, MoveOn.org, CREDO and Color of Change.

The groups say about 330,000 people have signed their petition, which urges Republicans to “apologize for your hate-spewing proxies in the Tea Party Patriots. It is not acceptable for you to build your party’s political fortunes by encouraging and defending bigotry and hatred among your supporters.”

Republican leaders, including House Minority Leader John Boehner of Ohio and House Minority Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia, already have both condemned any violence and said the GOP does not condone or try to incite such behavior. The FBI earlier this week arrested a Philadelphia man for threatening Cantor’s life, and Republicans say the threats come from both sides.
No small irony Brave New Foundations is partnered with SEIU, those responsible for the racist attack on Gladney.

Color of Change was founded by Communist Truther Van Jones.

Leftwing Freakazoids Plan to Crash April 15 Tea Parties: 'Find a Suit at a Thrift Store or Something, Look Real Professional Like'

I guess these drooling morons think this is some kind of secret.
On April 15th thousands of right-wingers will attend rallies in cities and towns across the United States. The organizers of this nationwide day of protest call it a tea party. This tea party movement that emerged only a year ago is a coalition of conservatives, anti-Semites, fascists, libertarians, racists, constitutionalists, militia men, gun freaks, homophobes, Ron Paul supporters, Alex Jones conspiracy types and American flag wavers. If the tea party movement continues to grow in size and strength there is a big chance they will dominate this country in the near future. If the tea party movement takes over this country they will really hurt poor people by getting rid of social programs like food stamps, unemployment benefits, disability benefits, student aid, free health care, etc. The tea party movement will say these programs must be gotten rid of because hard-working taxpayers cannot afford to pay for these things especially when the economy is in a depression. There are three options we have with the tea party movement:

1. Organize counter-protests against the tea party demonstrations, same time, same place. This is probably the best option. We need to get in the streets on April 15th and show the tea party movement that there are lots of people out there who oppose their agenda.

2. Get individual tea party protesters to leave the right-wing and move to the left politically. That would involve passing out stuff like this at the tea party demonstrations: http://www.anarchist-studies.org/node/299

3. Ignore the tea party movement. This is the worst option because without anyone opposing them they could easily gain power.
Gee, nobody is opposing them? I guess the 99% of media coverage that slantsnegative has gone unnoticed in these anarchist circles.

Stepping back for a minute, I guess maybe they are reading the Frank Rich's of the world, since they're under some deluded notion that fascists, anti-semites and racists are attending tea parties. Silly people. Those types are generally on the left, but hey, if the left didn't project they'd have to come to grips with the racists, fascists and anti-semites in their ranks.

Sadly, these neanderthals are also under some weird impression that health care will be free for them. Aren't they in for a rude awakening when they grow up and aren't on mommy and daddy's coverage any longer.

Helpfully provided are a list of links to tea party groups so you can "spy" on them. Oooh, how very clandestine.

Safe to say tea partiers have long caught on to these creeps. Some of the comments are priceless.
Someone should go to one of these rallies (maybe as a prop with a copy of "atlas shrugged" obtained from the library or more likely the trash bin) and pretend to be one of these libertarian nutters using all the talking points to slam militarism. Go on about Blackwater, Haliburtin, Caterpillar and others for being the mass recipients of corporate welfare (use the words welfare and moochers as much as possible, mention no-bid and cost-plus contracts) and US militarism as a huge drain on taxes without any practical improvement in US world standing (get ready to have to explain how US foreign policy contributed to 9/11) or benefit for taxpayers. Play the part, of a randroid-propertarian as near as possible but rail against these things and you will help wedge the nutty neo-cons away from the name-thievy "libertarians" by driving at the main (or so it would seem) conflict between the ideologies.

Find a suit at a thrift store or something, look real professional like.
They're sure to blend in.

'The Plan For August Is To Have a Discussion, To Listen Carefully To What People Are Saying'

A supporter of health care reform, left, who did not want to give her name, pushes forward to rip a sign out of Kris McLay's hands outside the Stout Street Clinic visited by Nancy Pelosi.
(THE DENVER POST RJ SANGOSTI)

They sure have a funny way of listening to people. Witness the goon in the picture -- yes, the one with the Obama shirt on the left that reads HOPE -- listening to a protester by trying to rip up her sign.

Frankly I'm surprised they actually published this photo as the text of the story starts off dutifully repeating Democrat propaganda. See if you can spot the codewords.
U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, visiting a Denver clinic for the homeless Thursday, insisted that Democrats are united in backing health care reform and brushed off a question of whether raucous, conservative-led protests against reform have hurt the effort.

"This is called the legislative process," she said during a brief question-and-answer period after touring the Stout Street Clinic in downtown Denver. "There are differences of opinions. This is the democratic process. . . . This is a very big initiative, to change health care in America."
Oh, so Obama's union thugs is the democratic process?

Hmmm.
Pelosi's visit to the clinic — to see and tout the impact of stimulus funds — came at a time when the national debate over health care has escalated into a figurative shouting match.

The shouting match became a literal reality outside the clinic Thursday, as people skeptical of more government involvement in health care traded chants and slogans with others who support sweeping reforms.
Has it occurred to these twits people are shouting since nobody is listening?
Inside the clinic, Pelosi said she welcomed the time during Congress' August recess for representatives to talk with their constituents about the issue.

"The plan for August," Pelosi, D-Calif., said, "is to have a discussion, to listen carefully to what people are saying."
if she were actually listening, this "reform" would be scuttled this afternoon.

H/T John.

'A New Low in the Politics of Personal Destruction'

Let's see if any Republican senators have the stomach to mention this at the Sotomayor hearings next week. This is outlandish thuggery of the highest order, yet it's all too typical of the "tolerant" left.
Supporters of Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor are quietly targeting the Connecticut firefighter who's at the center of Sotomayor's most controversial ruling.

On the eve of Sotomayor's Senate confirmation hearing, her advocates have been urging journalists to scrutinize what one called the "troubled and litigious work history" of firefighter Frank Ricci.

This is opposition research: a constant shadow on Capitol Hill.

"The whole business of getting Supreme Court nominees through the process has become bloodsport," said Gary Rose, a government and politics professor at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn.

On Friday, citing in an e-mail "Frank Ricci's troubled and litigious work history," the liberal advocacy group People for the American Way drew reporters' attention to Ricci's past. Other advocates for Sotomayor have discreetly urged journalists to pursue similar story lines.

Specifically, the advocates have zeroed in on an earlier 1995 lawsuit Ricci filed claiming the city of New Haven discriminated against him because he's dyslexic. The advocates cite other Hartford Courant stories from the same era recounting how Ricci was fired by a fire department in Middletown, Conn., allegedly, Ricci said at the time, because of safety concerns he raised.

The Middletown-area fire department was subsequently fined for safety violations, but the Connecticut Department of Labor dismissed Ricci's retaliation complaint.

No People for the American Way officials could be reached Friday to speak on the record about the press campaign.

"To go after so sympathetic a plaintiff as Frank Ricci . . . is a new low in the politics of personal destruction," said Roger Pilon, the director of the libertarian Cato Institute's Center for Constitutional Studies. "If they were smart, they'd keep a low profile."
It's not a matter of intelligence. They simply harbor irrational hatred for anyone who opposes them and they lash out recklessly. Is it any wonder the backlash against these goons is gaining steam?

Would seem their time is better spent protesting Obama's nomination of an unqualified activist hack. Targeting a man who won his case doesn't seem like the American way to me.

Thug Spitzer Blocks Health Care for Uninsured

Just imagine the outrage from the left if a GOP governor threatened health-care and education projects. Why, we'd have 12-year-olds and little kids paraded around on television, used as mascots while critics were accused of being stalkers and wanting children to die.

Sound familiar?

Spiteful Spitz KOs Health $$ in ID Spat
Gov. Spitzer yesterday played vicious hardball with his chief opponent in the battle over driver's licenses for illegal aliens - canceling $300,000 in state-funded health-care and education projects in Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco's district, The Post has learned.

"It's governance by vengeance. He doesn't care who he hurts," a furious Tedisco (R-Schenectady) told The Post.

"You disagree with him and he tries to steamroller you," said Tedisco, a Republican.

The Democratic governor made his infamous "I'm a f- - -ing steamroller" remark to Tedisco earlier this year.

Tedisco, who has pledged to sue Spitzer to block the driver's license plan, said he received word of the blocked programs from Spitzer's budget director, Paul Francis.

"He wouldn't say why, but I have no doubt it's a direct result of my opposition to the governor's plan to give licenses to illegal aliens," said Tedisco.

Tedisco said he was especially outraged that Spitzer blocked $100,000 in funding for a Schenectady clinic where volunteer doctors provide free health care to the uninsured.

"Here's another dirty trick from this governor. And you know who he is playing the dirty trick on? He's playing it on the poor people of Schenectady.

"He's out there bashing President Bush for not signing a health-care program for kids and he's going to close down a health-care program for the poor in my district and these people will now be at the doorstep of hospital emergency rooms at 10 times the cost," Tedisco continued.

Tedisco, who regularly refers to Spitzer as "illegal Eliot" because of the governor's license plan, said the governor's actions would stiffen his resolve to fight the ID proposal.

Spitzer spokeswoman Christine Anderson insisted the governor wasn't retaliating against Tedisco but was only "trying to get state budget spending under control."
Sure.

Goons Attack Karl Rove

I blame the Democrats for fostering a climate of hate. Looking at you in particular, Charles Schumer.
White House Advisor Karl Rove was the target of a protest on the American University campus Tuesday night, News4 reported.

Rove was on the campus to talk to the College Republicans, but when he got outside more than a dozen students began throwing things at him and at his car, an American University spokesperson said.

The students then got on the ground and laid down in front of his car as a protest.

The students said security officials picked them up and carried them away so Rove could leave.
You expect this stuff in places like Venezuela and Iran, but these leftwing fringe thugs are getting completely out of hand. Of course, had the police rightfully arrested them, then the media would be howling about free speech rights being infringed.

More at Hot Air.
