It's freezing
After a couple of warmer days, notice I say warmer as it was raining a lot, it has turned freezing cold again today. It all started last night when it turned cold after raining and everything turned to ice which made quite a mess on the roads. It apparently is going to start snowing over night tonight with a good storm coming for tonight and tomorrow morning. It's kind of nice because we are both off work tomorrow and will be able to enjoy a snow day home with the kids.

September will be fantastic
I have a weather prediction, as our August has been so terrible, that September will see almost all sun with higher than normal temperatures. I'm hoping this is the case anyway we've only had 2 days of sun so far this month, every other day has been overcast and most with rain. It makes for a long summer when the kids have to be caged in the house everyday. The temperatures are on average about 5 degrees less than normal, brrr.

Cold Weather
What a frustrating time it is here it's almost summer officially and it is completely freezing here in Nova Scotia. It poured rain all day and was really cold, it's hard to get excited when you can't even make it outside for part of the day. Will the sun ever come out? I'd love to get the pool set up for the kids but it just feels like it's never going to happen. July 1st is coming hoping for a better July.

Will Summer ever Start
I can't believe it, another freezing weekend and to boot it is the long weekend in May in Canada and we are still freezing. Generally this is the weekend that signals the start of camping, cabin weather here but I would have to say there isn't many brave enough out there this weekend. We are still using the heat in the house (YUCK) and dressing in warm clothes, socks on etc. I heard it is supposed to get to 14 this afternoon but it doesn't appear that is going to happen it's still freezing at 11 and no signs of sun. Maybe June will be better, let's hope.

WHAT IS UP WITH THIS?......
OMG the weather here just plain sucks. I can't think of any other way to put it. It rained all weekend and today it's gray and cold. We still don't have the siding finished on the side of the house and with rain again all this week it probably won't get finished until someday next week now. This has almost been a month and I WANT IT DONE! It is around 0 degrees Celsius here with the windchill and yesterday it snowed. Yep Happy Mother's Day it was. No it was great just not the weather. I think I am just going to have to face the fact that we don't get the really warm temperatures that we use to get.

MY NEGLECTED BLOG...
I have been so busy lately with the kids and their sports tournaments and competitions that I don't have much time to get anything done and blogging is getting neglected. I have four blogs on the go and I am managing to keep Rantings of a Woman and As I see it updated but seems I forgot about Jabber Jaws so if you are here looking for new posts try one of the other blogs.
So the weather here isn't getting much nicer out and today it was only 0 degrees Celsius and damn cold. I am looking forward to the couple of nice days we are expected to have later this week.
Have a great week!

SPRING HAS SPRUNG
This morning was a rather cold morning but before noon it was absolutely beautiful outside. We spent some time today shopping to find me a blouse then grabbed lunch and headed back home to get some outdoor yard work done. Blake had a great time playing in the yard and Matt finally got the van washed after a long messy winter. While I was picking up garbage and debris from the lawn I noticed that in our front yard beautiful purple flowers had started growing. This was definitely a good sign that spring is here and with a temperature of fifteen degrees it felt nice!

NO SCHOOL...BLIZZARD!
I was not looking forward to the kids having school today because it was skating day which meant a long hectic day for me...don't get me wrong I love it when the kids get to go on outings and they do enjoy skating but after the busy week just before March Break running back and forth to the school for skating, talent shows and so much more and then having a very busy week away from home, I am in no mood to do more running around than I need to. To my surprise we woke up this morning to a blizzard and yes school was cancelled. No running around for me today and I think it will be a lazy day!

IS THIS DAY OVER YET?????
My head is pounding and I still have to take Jay to his guitar lessons. I am so surprised at how well Jay is after his ordeal at school this morning (check here to read about it) he was so happy to be able to play his school basketball game. Even though they lost this game which was against the toughest team ever they should be happy hat they are the only to team to have ever got the most baskets against them. That's cause enough for celebration! Way to go Jaguars!!!!!!
Jay just informed me that we have a storm expected for here for the next 2 days, messy with rain, freezing rain and snow. With any luck there won't be school tomorrow and we won't have to face Jay's appeal for school suspension for another day. This situation with Jay defending himself and getting in trouble is just tying knots in my stomach and I cannot wait until the day is over.

GREEN TO WHITE...
After the snow being gone for a week now we were starting to think that just maybe spring is on its way until we woke up this morning to a blanket of white snow on the ground. I had to take my hubby to work early this morning and since he was running late (nothing new) I was kind enough to start the van and clear the snow off it. We aren't expected to get much more snow but I wasn't taking the chance of it stopping anytime soon so I shoveled the driveway to make it easier for later and will have to venture out again in an hour to pick up Jay from the church sleep over. I am prepared for a cranky day....

WET AND MESSY WEATHER
This winter has brought us some snow but more heavy rain than anything. Today I was doing my usual dace class drop off and pick up hubby from work run and to make it miserable it was pouring rain outside. As I pulled into the mall parking lot I saw a man in the rain struggling to put his wife's wheelchair in his van. It got me to realize that without proper wheelchair lifts it does make things harder. Having a chair lift would have been so much easier for him and a lot faster to get our of the rain. By the time I was parked he was in his vehicle so I wasn't able to help, no one likes to be in the rain any longer than necessary.

***MORE SNOW...

More snow on the way...
Again tonight we are getting more snow. No I don't think that tomorrow will be a snow day for the kids but never the less what we are getting is making it messy outside. Today was bitter cold and the waves off the water this afternoon and into this evening were something to see. I have never seen waves that high before in my life...I guess it's something I will get use to the longer I live here! So I have the heat turned up in case of a power outage with the strong winds and will settle in my warm cozy bed to watch some tv before going to sleep. It is suppose to snow all night so we will see what we wake up to in the morning!

***NOT MUCH SNOW AND....
...The kids are off to school today. No snow day for them but I think they were just has happy to off to school to see their friends. I am so lucky to have children who enjoy and look forward to going to school. It makes my morning that much easier. There wasn't a whole lot of snow that fell overnight and the driveway clean up didn't take long to do. We are expecting warming temperatures today along with some rain so I couldn't promise the kids that the snow will be here when they come home later on this afternoon. They can't wait to go sliding!

***BAD WEATHER...
....is on its way!
I will be spending my day keeping an eye on what the weather will be bringing later on today. It is sounding like it is going to get pretty messy out but as of right night things are looking pretty calm outside. I hope it holds off until later tonight after I have all my running around to do with Trinity's dance class as she is getting ready for her tap exam on Saturday. I will keep you posted on the messy weather and will get ready for the big clean up tomorrow.

***BACK OUT WALKING..
With all this nice weather we have been having lately I thought I would take advantage of it and get our for some walking. I really enjoy this time with Blake and he looks forward to getting out whenever possible. Today we ran into some friends from the school and went over to her house with the kids for a play date and they got along so good and Blake is wanting to go already. I will have to have them over soon to play here with Blake. It is so nice to see the sun shinning but it won't stay this way for much longer with lots of snow in the forecast for next week.

***MILD WEATHER
After having some long cold stormy days in December we are now experiencing some mild temperatures which is melting away all the snow. This is great for walking the kids back and forth to school but we still haven't found the time to go sliding or outdoor skating with the kids. I'm sure the cold temperatures will be returning and soon and we will still get lots more snow to get out and enjoy some winter activities. We will see what next weeks temperatures bring. No snow in the forecast for this week.
