Our high school batch is celebrating the Silver Jubilee this year (Rizal High School Batch 85). Yup, I’m that matured, looks can be deceiving you know, hahaha. My high school life was a colorful one. You can even compare it to the episodes of 90210, Dawson’s Creek or Gossip Girl. Thanks to my friends who have shared with me the joys (and pains) of being a teenager. We have a clique of 12 fun-loving, with eyes for details (to critique unusual classmates), smart and well-liked girls. Our laughter echoes in Masanga -the place we used to hang out. It’s a secret nook surrounded by gardens where students from pilot sections, other ’popular kids’, high school sweethearts eat and spend time. The words ‘laugh out loud’ are already familiar to our group even before they became a buzz word in chat. They say “Birds of the same feather flock together” and I say that what we all have in common aside from having the same haircut is our both being B & B (and another B). Beauty and Brains don’t go together for some but not for our group. Body is the other B though I didn’t have that :). Attending parties, having a cool bf and balancing them with school activities is a tough act. Our group did it effortlessly and with the demands of Rizal High School, who can top that?
After 27 years and for some of us even earlier, we are still the BBB of our batch. Yes, none of us have the same waistline as our age LOL. We have a group in Facebook and our private conversations there were just like the old times. Only this time we are not in our favorite nook but in different parts of the world, reminiscing and still doing the LOLs. Each one enjoying the prime of our lives, sometimes we still comment on our batchmates and share our excitement in our trip planning. I really hope our Calgary reunion will push through when one of us gets married (again for the nth time hahaha) next year.
I feel blessed to have shared and still share with these girls the gift of friendship. Like always, we will be on each other’s side through thick or thin. May God continue to bless us with the 3 Bs and more Bs (not babies though but blessings) now and forever.

10 years and counting....
I haven't posted my Friday Photo Flashback started by Alicia for sometime now. This is to make up for all the missed Fridays. Here's my entry for the week, a very special one, a showcase of some of the wonderful moments in our 10 years of marriage.

Friday Photo Flashback - Irmee as a bride
I haven't posted my Friday Photo Flashback in 2 weeks now and here's my entry for this week. Lito and I will celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary in December and what a great time to reminisce how it felt to be a bride. I was wearing a simple gown I designed (or copied from a TV commercial hahaha). It was a no-frills, no laces gown which showed my curves (I had it then hahaha). I was also proud to walk down the aisle without a baby on my tummy unlike most brides back then. I had my wedding in Moonwalk Nature's Church and I was also proud to say that I did all the preparations on my own, seeking help from the internet and online friends who were also brides at http://weddingsatwork.com or newlyweds
I also had my first website celebrating it's 10 year anniversary too in October for my wedding details. More Flashback Photos there.

Friday Photo Flashback entry - Longest Hair
I participated in Friday Photo Flashback meme by Alicia and it's always been an enjoyable task even when I'm busy at work. I also consider it my time-out in the midst of crunch time, to de-stress...here I am in my longest hair while Kyle was only 5 months old. I have not grown my hair that long eversince.

Friday Photo Flashback- shortest hair
I'm participating in Friday Photo Flashback started by Alicia and I found myself looking forward to Fridays for this (aside from the Friday Magic Madness - 80's music revival).
Here's my entry for this week. Here I am in my shortest haircut ever. This is shorter than the "siete" style our barkada had when we were still in high school. I always wore my hair up to shoulder length. Maybe it was too hot back then but I also remembered that my bf, now my husband wanted a short-haired gf, LOL. Now you know why.
Notice how big my tshirt was. It was the style then. T-shirts are like nightshirts.

"I Work and Play"
Journalling in my scrap page says: "I WORK AND PLAY"
I was a working student in college, working part-time in the morning and school in the afternoon. I learned the value of quality work and time management at this early stage which I'm still taking advantage of now. Of course, then and now, I consider work as play to enjoy it even more.
I'm proud to be one of the pioneer Drive-Thru crew of Jollibee back in the late eighties in the 50th store of Jollibee then. Look at how "baduy" our uniform was. hehehe.

Friday Photo Flashback
I came across Chris' Mommy Journey blog and I grabbed the link of Friday Photo Flashback. I enjoyed looking at my old pictures and joining the blog circle is a good opportunity to showcase my "Blast from the Past" photos.
Here's my very first entry to Friday Flashback Photo. This was taken 15 years ago in Sentosa during my first business trip in Singapore. Look at how "high" my waists are hehehe. Watch out for more. :)
Thanks to Chris and Alicia.
