White Wedding

***************

Oh dear! I've been neglecting my blog and have had to tend to the garden instead but have managed to enjoy the sunshine when possible. I have been making cards but haven't had the time to post them here.
I also decided I had to do some crafty tidying and managed to loose/mislay? 4 dies and a lovely A5 size background stamp :(

I'm hoping to go to the evening reception of a lovely couple, the groom I've known for years.

Supplies
Spanish Collection background
Californian Collection San Fransisco
Greeting computer generated and cut with unknown die
Pearls

All layers are popped up with foam tape with a sparkly layer (iced snow) underneath the BG die

You can just about see a bit of the sparkle. It does look better IRL :)

I'd like to enter...
The Crafting Cafe - love & marriage
Dies R Us #4 - wedding
Sketch N' Dies #9 - anything goes
Diva's - 3 or more layers (4 layers inc the sparkly layer)

Thank you for stopping by today and thanks again if you have time to leave a comment :)
Cheers me dears

Wedding

********

The happy couple were married in Cyprus and are having another celebration this weekend for friends and family who were not able to attend the actual ceremony.

I have used two of my recent purchases....the first is the lovely Spellbinders Vines of Passion die which  I found difficult to cut from card even with a wax paper layer. The base layer is gold mirri card.
The second die is the plain oval from Radiant Rectangles and the sentiment is computer generated.

The BG paper has a subtle floral pattern on it........so subtle that you can't see it here!!

The gorgeous silky ribbon bow is topped with a glitzy glass button with a pearl to disguise the holes.  Some beautiful lace and extra bling in the top corners and that is it.....elegantly CAS don't you think :)

Challenges
Crafts 4 Eternity #135 - here comes the bride
4 Crafty Chicks #153 - bling
Cuttlebug Mania - clean and simple

Cardabilities #80 - sketch
PCJ - punches and/or die cuts

Wedding 2

**********

Hello lovely people :)

Many of my DD's customers have become friends over the years and she likes to send them cards for the special moments in their lives. Jon....lovely man......is one.

He got married to his long-time girlfriend Sandy at the hospice he has been in for the past few weeks.

As you can see,  I kept it simple and all white.
Both die cuts are fixed with foam tape/pads and once again the Stickled heart on the organza ribbon appears to be pink

Challenges
Crafty Ribbons #48 - anything goes with ribbon
Challenges 4 Everybody #22 - anything goes
Country View Crafts #4 - die cuts
Everybody Art Challenge #241 - wedding
HIMCR #102 - die cuts - 2nd entry

Wedding

********

Hello lovely friends :)

These must be the worst photo's I've ever taken of a card and unfortunately I can't try again as it was collected on Friday for the wedding on Saturday.
This must also be a record  for the time it has taken to do this blog  post.....this computer is ancient and is driving be bonkers !!

The brief for this card was cream, silver, a touch of purple with a birdcage theme so out came this super die cut from the lovely Sarah at Craft all Day.   I used a silver dabber on it which gave it a nice rustic look.

The main BP has a pretty flowery, slightly embossed design on it.  I made the flowers from this too.
The torn panel is embossed with an M-Bossabilities folder.
The bird and cage, topped with a cream seam binding double bow and heart shaped button are layered  on to muslin

It took three goes to make the envelope, lol.
I didn't want more ribbon as a pull for the message so I 'sparkled up' a heart and added a small gem instead. I used stickles Diamond  and it shows pink here :/

The flower 'arrangements' are a mix of Marianne Creatables dies and flowers from stash

Challenges I'd like to enter.....
Delightful Challenge - wedding and anniversary
Heck of a Challenge - bingo - ribbon. die cut, bird
HIMCR #102 - die cuts
Country View Crafts #9 - die cuts

Thank you for stopping by :)

Commission - 8" square

I made the trellis pattern for the background using the MS score board.

Wedding Card

***

This will be winging it's way to Tasmania. The lady who commissioned this is not going to the wedding but will be visiting the happy couple next year, so I made a stronger box for it which I hope will survive the journey

Allsorts challenge #68 - new beginnings
Daring Cardmakers - Sapphires for September
Paperplay #35 - In stitches
Papertake Weekly - Just the one (colour blue)

Some stitching and distressing and a peeloff border around the heart

The box.....
This is an 8 inch square card and fortunately I have some A3 cardstock. It took quite a while to make a template for the box  to fit the card. The biggest problem was that it was too big to fit my guillotine and score board. Got there in the end though
I kept the embellishing simple as it is going in a jiffy bag although the silver panel is raised with foam pads

Papers - Bearly Mine and Nearly White, by Loreta Labarca
Flowers & pins - Wild Orchid
Ribbon - My Wedding Party
Sissix swirl -  glamour dusted
Handcut heart
Lace and gems

Thank you for stopping by and for your kind and greatly appreciated comments :-)

Wedding Congratulations

A5

Just a very quick post this morning as I'm off to 'work' at daughters.

This smashing sketch is the CRAFT Challenge No.5

The card is for a friend of Son's who got married somewhere exotic and is now celebrating at home. Their party is on Saturday and I'm sure everyone will have a good time.
As it is the grooms 3rd marriage I thought something less traditional would be more appropriate so hope this fits the bill, as it were.

The papers and image are freebies from Jak who's blog can be found at Crafters Kitchen. Thank you very much Jak, this was very useful for this occasion.

Thanks for popping by today and for any comments you care to leave which are very much appreciated

Wedding

A5

My nephew is getting married on Saturday and I have been putting off making the card.
I liked this weeks Midnight Madness challenge sketch 4, so have used that as my inspiration.

The BP's are Dianne Rigdon Heart Sweet Heart collection from ScrapArtist and Loreta Labarca collection from Daisie. The cherry blossom flowers are a new acquisition from Wild Orchid Crafts

The hearts and the wedding date have been 'sparkled' with Glamour Dust and I have made another beady pin which has been stuck through a net bow.
The big bow on the side is white and pink organza, though it is hard to tell from my rubbishy photography.

The frame around the Wedding Day wording was a fiddle to make and I used a lot of small foam pads to attach it.

Thank you for visiting today and for any comments you are kind enough to leave.
They really encourage and make me smile :-)

Congratulations

Well, I am pleased!!!
This card fits a three challenges :-)
Update **** Four challenges ****

It is for friends of my daughter who where married in sunnier climes and are having a a second celebration at home.

**** Lorraine(Coldwaters2) has just told me that it fits in with another challenge too. Thanks Lorraine :-)

CRAFT challenge
is new and the first theme is appropriatly, 'New'

The theme over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge 33 is New Beginnings

Our Creative Corner is a new one for me and it is all about sentiments this week

The sketch is this weeks Pink Elephant. I hope I have not changed it too much.

150mm square

I am not going to say much about this card, except that it took an age to get the right curve on 'Congratulations'.
It is very late and I should be getting my beauty sleep. Heaven knows I need it lol.

Thank you for visiting. Your comments are really appreciated.

And the box!!

Well! this is the box.
I managed to hide the joins with peel-offs.
Looks better than I expected.
I'm sure the recipients will have better things to do
than inspect it for flaws, LOL

Isn't hindsight great!!
I see now that it would have been better to have cut the opening
higher up so the shoes were central in the opening.
Never mind it is done now.
It was approved by the lady who ordered it.
Sigh of relief.

Wedding card - A4

Another 'midnight oil' card!!
This is just short of A4 but it was not the card that took the time.
Silly me, said I would make a box for this but then realised after I'd finished the card that I only have A4 size CS.
I have managed to make a box by adding sides to it. It is not too bad and needs decorating if the lady is happy with it.

I wanted to use This Joanna Sheen shoe stamp, only used it once before.
It is stamped on vellum and embossed with fine detail gold.
The flowers I've had for years and the ribbon was delivered Saturday from Joanna's shop, thanks to the excellent service from Sheenie Towers.

A Wedding Card

The bridegroom is a designer so I wanted this to be faultless or as near as.
I am so cross with myself cos I mucked it up.
Can you spot the 'deliberate' mistake???
Apart from the name tag not being level - that is not fixed yet!

You know how some people have such a good eye for detail but I hope that my mistake doesn't 'hit' him in the eye.
I would cut off the front only it is a pop-out card and I've finished the middle except for the greeting and possibly a verse.
