Netty'sPage

Zoe's Page - Steampunk in the sky




For Zoe's page I did the background with distress inks and water I then stamped my main image (Paper Artsy) added the wings and wording and my acetate image (Crafty Individuals) I then added my metalware and little bottle all attached with wires and brads - hope you like it Zoe

Gez's Page - Be Happy

















Gez asked that we made the page for her book depicting things that make us Happy - I love the splashed water technique that I used for the background. I also save pens and have quite a few rubber stamp pens - always looking for more !!! - I also love grunge paper and made my flower with it. Birds and Tims Imagination dies come next - I have a passion for them and thats the wording I used - Number 14 is my lucky number so that finished off my Be Happy page

Heathers Page

















Heather asked that her page contains anything to do with the planets, moon, stars etc I think this stamp from Paper Artsy is ideal to depict this theme I stamped it on a background paper of the earth.The borders were done with Tims black and white enamel - I added a quote and some charms to finish the page off

This page is entitled simply "water" and the beauties of - I used one of my favourite techniques - distress ink and water for the background - I then stamped my image and mounted it - I added some swirls and a sun , the metal lettering and a definition of "water" taken from an old dictionery before inking the edges

Lotstodo Challenge A bit of Glitz




I made my shadow box out of sturdy card stock I added my image which I had decoupaged and mounted - I then put acetate over the top. I added the border which I had cut with my Martha Stewart punc and then finished off by adding the flatback beads and the little flowers

Cloudy sky























I watched Barbara Clarity stamps on C & C this morning and had to have a go at this technique - I used

Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass
Adirondack Dye Ink - Denim and Espresso
Versamark
Cotton wool

I didn't have the Moonshadow stamp so made my own using a fine liner pen

Penny Black Challenge
























This is my entry for the Penny Black Challenge Getting away from Christmas cards now !!!! The theme this month is "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" I used the Big n Juicy inkpad Waterfall and a brayer for my background. My main image is Penny Black stamp Fireworks Number 3948K. I achieved the white border by masking with tape. To complete the card I matted and layered it.

Lotstodo Challenge - Words



I love playing about and mixing and matching scenic stamps - I've used 7 different stamps to create this scene - all inks used were distress inks - I used cut n dry and Q tips for the inking

I added some script backing paper to my card and then stamped and masked my image - stamp was free with the Craft Stamper Magazine - I then added my image from Crafty Individuals - inked the edges and added my V - for Violin and Visage

Lotstodo Challenge Embossing




Just a simple little ATC this week - I've had rather a busy week - The embossing was done in my bigshot then it was inked and sanded down before adding the tower which I had stamped on to tissue and the little Face which I had mat and layered on to mirri board. I finished off by rounding the corners and inking

Lotstodo Challenge Technique























I have many favourite techniques but the ones I've used today include Masking and Inking and Heat Embossing.

I made another clock for my friends craft room - bought the blank and the workings at NEC for £1 each !!!! I inked the background by spraying with Adirondack Color wash Raisen. I then added my mask and Sprayed again this time with Terra Cotta I heat embossed my grungeboard numbers with black fine detail and my letters with gold embossing powder. I then stamped a couple of sayings, inked and added them - and if you look closely I also added some wording with rub ons. I finished off by inking all the edges with distress inks and putting in the workings

Altered dominoes



















I altered these for the Alter It Monthly challenge which this month is being sponsored by Crafty Individuals

I coloured my dominoes with alcohol inks then stamped with archival ink - I then added glossy accents - throwing some bedazzles into one of them !!!

I finished off by doing the outer edges with Krylon pen

I've made these dominoes into fridge magnets

my pic isn't very good shall try to take a better one later

I altered this gravy tin for the challenge on Lets Ink It Up - I firstly covered it with 2 coats of gesso. Then I inked it with Distress Inks - I followed that by stamping some of my Tm Holtz stamps on too it. Then came the masking of the music. I finished it off by adding some flowers that I had made the other day. I'm going to use it for storing some of my pencils

Craft Room Clock



















I bought the pieces to make this clock at the NEC for £1 !!!!!! I covered it with 2 coats of gesso and then using masks and Adirondack dabbers I did the decoration - colours of dabbers used - Pitch Black, Red pepper, Sunshine Yello, Purple Twilight and Lettuce - I did the butterflies antenna with copper Krylon. I finished off by inking around the edges before adding the workings.

Love it and its now on my craft room wall - going to do another one for a friend but thats for another day

Atc's Autumn

















I created my background for these atc's by inking with distress inks and then random stamping - I rounded the corners with my Zutter tool and inked them. I stamped the leaves on to grunge paper - cut them out then inked them before heat embossing them with clear embossing powder

Tags - BLUE


















I cut my tags out of mountboard and then inked them with Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass using cut n dry. I then stamped various images with Chipped Saphire Distress Inks. To finish them off I inked the edges and added some fibre

Fat Pages - RED

















I covered the background of my mountboard with Adirondack Dabbers - Red Pepper

I then put some card through my bigshot in embossing folders and then inked them with Distress Inks - Barn Door and added them to my squares

I then stamped my images with Momento Ink - Black and water coloured them with Distress Inks - Barn Door using a water pen. I finished them off by inking the edges

Creative Journey Swap



























I've joined a swap being hosted by Alison The idea is that we all produce pages measuring 6 x 4 inches and create backgrounds with inks, paints, gesso etc etc and then on Januaru 10th the other artists in the group will tell you what to put on your pages from a choice of 3 this could be something like add a brad, button, key, image etc etc - seems like its going to be real fun and I'm looking forward too it.

On my pages I've used Acrylics, gesso Adirondack dabbers sequin waste, doyley and bubble wrap

Penny Black Challenge
















I made this card for the Penny Black Challenge - its the first time I've joined in this monthly challenge. I stamped my image Penny Black Snowy Park No 3231K on to glossy card stock and heat embossed it with fine detail Black I then mounted on to black card stock and then a white card. I think the image itself says it all so only added a couple of gems to finish it off

Lotstodo Challenge Friendship



I embossed the metal for the top and bottom pieces in my bigshot using an embossing folder. The side pieces were created by adding grungeboard letters covering with foil and embossing round them before adding a bit of a pettern with my Ten Second Studio tools. I then added my colour with alcohol inks and rubbed some of it off. The poem I found on the internet - it was anonymous. I've made a few of these for some of my crafting friends for little gifts for Christmastime

Lotstodo Challenge Halloween




I made this 9x9 atc collection for a swap being hosted by Alison on the Lotstodrevisited forum. I did lots of inking and masking along with collaging to create it

Christmas triptych




I made the Christmas tryptch for a swap being hosted by Heather Fenn Edwards I covered the card front and back and then added some snowflake masks and inked through them. I then added some grungpaper swirls, flowers and bits and piece out of my box. I finished by putting in the holes and threading raffia through

Autumnal atc's




Another swap I'm hosting on the Lotstodorevisited forum.

I inked my backgrounds with distress inks after making a mask for the moon. I stamped my images - the owl was stamped on to seperate card, heat embossed, cut and added - the birds on the wire were stamped direct and the leaves were stamped with a roller stamp. I finished them all off by adding quotations

I made these atc's for a swap being hosted by Heather Fenn Edwards.

I inked my backgrounds using my brayer and big n juicy inks. I then placed my TH spiders web mask on and inked over with distress inks. I then stamped my images - Tim Holtz plate with black soot distress ink and then heat embossed with fine detail embossing powder

Autumnal tags




I run my tags through my bigshot using embossing folders - I inked them with distress inks. I stamped my leaves on to grunge paper, inked them and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. Don't think you can see it but it looks like they are covered in dew drops. I finished off by adding ribbons through the holes I'd punched.

Owl Card




Another try with the brayer - I'll keep trying !!!! I do like the owl in the moon on this one

Hanging thingy !!



I made this hanger for Alison - I took all the hardware off it and then painted it with black gesso - I added some silver rub n buff. I then stamped my images - Hampton Arts - heat embossed them and then went over them with brayer and walnut ink I then put it all back together - Alison has received it now and says she loves it

I used an old handbag to cover this book !!! I cut all the leather off and then pieced it together before roughing up the edges a bit. I'm not showing the inside yet until the recipient has received it - hope she likes it

Lotstodo Challenge Vintage



I cut out from mount board 4 pieces and covered them with a gorgeous backing paper - I then stamped 2 images on to doyley and 2 direct on to the paper I then added the doyleys to my backing along with some buttons, ric rac and wording. I finished by threading raffia through the holes I'd made with my crop o dile and inking the edges
