Hi Bloggers.
I'm expecting a mixed reaction to this card. I'm not really keen on it myself but I wanted to use the A4 Ripple Scallop Mask, the Red Pepper Adirondack and Gold Embossing Powder. I think you could use this card for Valentine's Day or a Ruby Wedding Anniversary.
So, for the background, I inked up the A4 Ripple Scallop Mask with Perfect Medium, popped it down onto some Coconut White Card (which had been dusted with my Anti-Static Bag) and ran it through the Grand Calibur. The ink transferred to the debossed pattern. I added some Cosmic Shimmer Bright Gold Metallic Embossing Powder and heat set it. I popped it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Elite M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern - the embossing powder does not crack. I then inked all over with Red Pepper Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I dusted another piece of card with my Anti-Static Bag and stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Floral Silhouette Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with the gold powder. I cut it out using a die from the Fancy Postage Edge die set and inked through the die with Red Pepper. I cut the largest die from the set out of gold card. I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Trees of Imagination Stamp Set again using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Gold Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 24 and inked through the die with Red Pepper.
I assembled the card as shown, wrapping some Lipstick Red American Seam Binding around the background and adding a bow.
I added some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Olympic Gold around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

Have a Beautiful Day
Hi Bloggers.
Another white card today.
For the background, I simply ran a piece of Coconut White Card through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Elegance M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern.
I dusted a piece of card with my Anti-Static Bag and stamped the bird image from the Creative Expressions Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Pearl Lustre Embossing Powder from the Metallics & Darks Set. I wiped away the excess mica with a dry wet wipe. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Fancy Postage Edge die.
I dusted another piece of card with my Anti-Static Bag and stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Silver Pearl Lustre Powder. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Fancy Ribbon Threader die. I threaded some Blue White American Seam Binding through the slits and secured at the back.
I dusted some more card and cut the largest of the Fancy Postage Edge dies. I inked up the Ivy Border Mask with Perfect Medium and added it to the die at the emboss stage. The ink transferred to the debossed image. I removed the card from the die, added the Silver Pearl Lustre Powder and heat set.
I tied a bow with some White Satin Edged Organza. I pressed a Fancy Pearl Embellishment into Perfect Medium and then added the Silver Pearl Lustre Powder and heat set.
I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm White Pearls and some Pearl Swirls. I pierced around the edges using my Tim Holtz Design Ruler or a change.
Thanks for stopping by.

Heart Tree
Hi Bloggers.
This is one the cards I made for the Pick of the Day last month and it got a brief showing on the shows last Monday.
For the background, I spritzed some Milk Card with Cosmic Shimmer Tarnished Gold Vintage Mister. I dried it with my heat tool and then inked through the Acorn Leaves Mask with Oregano Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I cut a Spellbinders Marvelous Square out of Black Card. I stamped the tree from the Creative Expressions Trees of Imagination Stamp Set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using the backing die from the Spellbinders Triumphant Blossom Cut, Fold & Tuck die set and inked through the die with Oregano.
I tied a bow using 3 lengths of Black American Seam Binding. I threaded a key from the Assorted Key Charms Pack onto 2 lengths of Black Baker's Twine from the Primary Set and tied another bow.
I assembled the card as shown adding some 8mm Black Pearls in 3 of the corners and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges.
Sue Wilson is on Create & Craft today 12noon for 2 hours and 5pm. She's sure to have some fab demos to show.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hello my Friend - Part 2
Hi Bloggers.
This is another card made using the Creative Expressions Falling Leaves Stamp Set.
For the background, I dusted a piece of Milk Card with my Anti-Static Bag and then randomly stamped one of the leaves from the set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Dark Bronze Lustre Embossing Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Metallics & Darks set. I brushed away the excess Mica with a dry wet-wipe. I then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the A4 Autumn Leaves Mask and inked around the edges with Raisin Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I dusted a piece of Burgundy Card with my Anti Static Bag and stamped the large tree from the stamp set using Perfect Medium. I embossed with the Dark Bronze Lustre Powder and wiped away the excess mica. I mounted it on to a piece of Black Card.
I dusted another piece of Burgundy Card with my Anti Static Bag and stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Dark Bronze Lustre Powder. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Fancy Ribbon Threader die. I threaded some Black American Seam Binding through the slits in the die cut and secured at the back.
I tied a bow using the Burgundy/Ivory Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and added a Black Dazzler to the centre.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.

A Dream Is a Wish
Hi Bloggers.
I don't think that this sample card got shown at all which is a shame as it's one of my favourites.
For the background, I dusted a piece of Milk Card with my Anti-Static Bag. I had my Grand Calibur base plate with the tan mat on it ready and placed the card, dusted side up, onto it. I inked over a large section of the Autumn Leaves Mask with Perfect Medium. I placed this, ink side down, on top of the card and then put the pink embossing plate on top and ran it through the Grand Calibur. The Perfect Medium Ink transferred to the debossed pattern on the card. I sprinkled some Copper Bronze Lustre Embossing Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Metallics & Darks Set over the ink and heat set. I brushed away the excess mica with a dry wet-wipe. I then inked all over with Butterscotch Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam and then around the edges with Rust Adirondack.
I dusted a piece of Milk Card with my Anti-Static Bag. I stamped the image from the Creative Expressions Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Copper Bronze Lustre Powder. I brushed away the excess Powder with my dry we-wipe. I cut the image out using a Spellbinders Fancy Postage Edge die and inked through the die with Rust Adirondack.
I cut the largest die from the Fancy Postage Edge from Tan card. At the emboss stage I added the Leaves Border Mask. I inked through the die with Rust Adirondack.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set - again using Perfect Medium, embossed with the Copper Bronze Lustre and wiped away the excess mica. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 24 and inked through the die with Rust.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Olympic Gold around the edges.

Wishing You Happiness
Hi Bloggers.
This is another of the demos that I didn't quite finish on Monday.
For the background, I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my Anti-Static Bag. I randomly stamped one of the butterflies from the Creative Expressions Floral Silhouette Stamp Set using Perfect Medium. I stamped a few and then added the Olympic Gold Lustre Embossing Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Metallics & Darks Set. I continued stamping a few and adding powder until the whole area was covered and then heat set. I wiped away the excess mica with a dry wet-wipe. I popped the piece through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Elite M-Bossabilities Folder and then inked around the edges with Butterscotch Adirondack Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my Anti-Static Bag and stamped the main image from the same stamp set again using the Perfect Medium and embossed with the Olympic Gold Lustre Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Fancy Postage Edge Die and inked through the die with Butterscotch.
I dusted another piece of card with my Anti-Static Bag and stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Olympic Gold Lustre Powder. I cut it out using a Fancy Ribbon Threader die and inked through the die with Butterscotch. I threaded some Cream Satin Edged Organza Ribbon through the slits in the die cut and wrapped the excess ribbon around the back of the background. I tied a bow with the same ribbon. I pushed a Fancy Pearl Embellishment into the Perfect Medium, added some Olympic Gold Lustre Powder and heat set. I added this to my bow.
I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm Cream Pearls in the top right hand corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.

Thinking of You
Hi Bloggers.
This is one of the demos I didn't quite finish on Monday.
So, for the background, I randomly stamped one of the foliage stamps from the Creative Expressions Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set using Stonewashed Adirondack Dye Ink onto some Coconut White Card. I dried it with my heat tool and then popped it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Elegance M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern. I inked around the edges with the Stonewashed Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with my Anti-Static Pad and then stamped the image from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Steel Blue Embossing Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Metallics & Darks Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Postage Edge and then inked through the die with Stonewashed using Cut n Dry Foam.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Trees of Imagination Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Steel Blue Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Ribbon Threader die and inked through the die with Stonewashed.
I made a flower using the Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms die set and cut some leaves out of Cobalt card.
I assembled the card as shown adding some 5mm White Pearls in the top right-hand corner and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks
Hi Bloggers.
An appropriate title for today's post as I'd like to thank you again for all your emails to the studio yesterday and the comments here.
This is one of the demo cards from yesterday -
The background for the tree image and the sentiment is really fun to do so I'll start with that. I used a square piece of Coconut White Card. I put my hand in a polythene bag and scrunched up the end with my fingers. I then dipped this in Meadow Adirondack Dye ink and stamped onto my card. I repeated this and continued stamping randomly on my card. I cleaned the bag and then repeated the process with Rust Adirondack and then with Butterscotch Adirondack. I dried the background with my heat tool, dusted it with an anti static bag and then stamped the Tree from the Creative Expressions Falling Leaves Stamp Set using Perfect Medium. I added Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Aurora Embossing Powder and heat set. The powder leaves a 'bloom' - it's just mica. So, when the powder is set rub over the image with a dry wet wipe to remove it. I distressed the edges with my heat tool and then went round with Butterscotch using Cut n Dry Foam. I matted on to black card.
I used exactly the same method for the sentiment but I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 24. I removed the sentiment from the die and then inked around the edges with Butterscotch. I made a faux nestie by drawing around the Labels 24 die onto black card and cutting it out by hand.
For the main background, I randomly stamped the Ivy branch using Butterscotch and the small Leaf using Meadow. I made sure the ink was dry and then ran it through the Grand Calibur with the A4 Autumn Leaves Mask. I inked all over with Butterscotch using Cut n Dry Foam and then just inked around the edges with Rust.
I tied a small-ish bow using the Green/Ivory Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. I wanted to blend the mats in with the rest of the card so I inked the edges with the Meadow, Butterscotch and Rust Inks.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Black Pearl around the edges.
The bagged background would look great in lots of colour combos.
Thanks for stopping by.

Just Because
Hi Bloggers.
TV shows today at 11am with Lottie and 3pm with Zoe - although that may change! In the shows today I have some of my favourite stamp sets from this year and one from last year - all easy to use as no colouring in required. The main aim of today's shows is to show off some of our lovely Cosmic Shimmer Embossing Powders with the stamps - let's hope I manage it!
Here's today's card -
For the background, I randomly stamped the swirly image from the Creative Expressions Floral Silhouette Stamp Set using Rust Adirondack Dye Ink. I made sure it was dry and then popped it through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Elegance M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern and then inked around the edges with Rust using Cut n Dry Foam.
I stamped the main image from the same stamp set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Ancient Copper Metallic Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Ribbon Threader and inked through the die with Rust.
I threaded some London Tan American Seam Binding through the slits. I tied a bow with Cream Satin Edged Organza Ribbon and another with the London Tan American Seam Binding. I added a Light Brown Dazzler.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Trees of Imagination Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with the Copper Powder. I cut it out using another die from the Fancy Ribbon Threader die set and inked through the die with Rust.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Golden Pearl around the edges.
Hope you can join me later and perhaps email in?

Hello My Friend
Hi Bloggers.
Today I'm off the Daisy's Jewels and Crafts in Coventry (details in left hand side bar). I'll be demoing between 1pm and 3pm. If you're in the area, please stop by and say hello.
Today's card is one I've made for the shows tomorrow. It's not really a good representation of what's on the show - bit of a tease really.
For the background,I ran a piece of Coconut White card through the Grand Calibur with the Spellbinders Regal M-Bossabilities Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern.
I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Falling Leaves Stamp Set using Perfect Medium and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Silver Shine Metallic Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Labels 24. I made a frame using the 2 Labels 24 dies that were either side of the one used to cut out the sentiment. At the emboss stage I added the Elegance M-Bossabilities Folder. I cut the largest of the Fancy Postage Edge Dies and at the emboss stage added the other side of the Elegance Folder. I cut the largest of the Fancy Ribbon Threader Dies and at the emboss stage added the Elegance Mask from That Special Touch. I threaded some Blue White American Seam Binding through it.
I tied a bow using White Satin Edged Ribbon and added a Fancy Pearl Embellishment.
I made a flower using the Bitty Blossoms die set. I cut some leaves using the same die set and inked through the die with Perfect Medium using Cut n Dry Foam. I removed the card from the die and added some Silver Shine Metallic Embossing Powder and heat set.
I assembled the card as shown adding some Pearl Swirls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Silver Lustre around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hang in there!
Hi Bloggers.
Another card made with the Creative Expressions Frilly Things Stamp Set today.
For the background, I spritzed some Coconut White card with Cosmic Shimmer Egyptian Blue Vintage Mister. I dried it with my heat tool and then inked through the Eyelet Lace Mask with Fountain Blue Paris Trunk Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I moved the mask around the card so that the whole area was covered. I randomly stamped the coat hanger and 'Bra-vo!' stamps over the background using the Fountain Blue Ink.
I stamped the image using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured it in using the Fountain Blue Ink and Tropic Blue Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Garden Flora Mica Spray Set. I cut it out using Spellbinders Labels 25 and inked through the die with Fountain Blue Ink. I cut the largest of the Romantic Rectangles dies out of blue card. At the emboss stage I added the Polka Dots Mask. I inked through the die with Fountain Blue.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Ribbon Banners and inked through the die with Fountain Blue. I cut another Ribbon Banner out of blue card and offset it behind the sentiment panel.
I made a ribbon rose out of Sky Blue American Seam Binding and another out of Blue White. I added some leftover bits of Pearl Swirls instead of leaves.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Summer Blue around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy Your Day with Style
Hi Bloggers.
Would have loved to have demoed this card but a bit too much going on in it and I don't seem to get an awful lot of time to demo at the moment.
For the background, I spritzed some Milk Card with Marigold and Tarnished Gold Vintage Mister. I dried the ink of the first colour with my heat tool before misting the second one and then dried again. I inked through the Eyelet Lace Mask with Poppy Paris Trunk Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam. I moved the mask around the background as the area was larger than the mask. I then randomly inked through some flowers on the Flower Mask with the Sepia Paris Trunk Ink.
I stamped the large corset from the Creative Expressions Frilly Things Stamp Set onto some Foundations Dot & Dash Paper using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I added a frill along the bottom using London Tan American Seam Binding. I used the same ribbon to tie a little bow and glued a 5mm Black Pearl in the centre of it.
I cut the largest Spellbinders Labels 25 out of Milk Card. At the emboss stage I added the Polka Dots Mask. I inked through the die with Sepia Ink. I cut the largest of the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles out of Tan Card. At the emboss stage I added the Floral Vines Mask. I inked through the die with Sepia Ink.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Splendid Circles and inked through the die with Sepia Ink.
I assembled the card as shown adding some Black Swirls and some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in Choco Brown around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

Pretty Little Perfume Bottles
Hi Bloggers.
I've used the small perfume bottle stamps from the You Look Scent'sational' Stamp Set on this card.
For the background, I popped some Coconut White Card inside the Couture Creations Pastorale Embossing Folder. I inked around the edges and along the embossed panels with Poppy Paris Trunk Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I stamped 3 of the little perfume bottles using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured them in using the Poppy ink (the darker areas are where I added less water) and the Pale Gold from the Cosmic Shimmer Metallics Mica Spray Set. I cut them out using Spelbinders Fleur de Lys Squares and inked through the die with Poppy ink.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
Thanks for stopping by.

Free to a good home!
Hi Bloggers.
I am desperately trying to clear out old stock from when I had a shop but failing miserably with papers - decoupage, backing papers, pyramage, etc. There are 100 sheets in a pack - all different. Some packs have some die cut sheets in them. I put them on ebay starting at 99p and barely had a sniff! I have given some away to the local Cardiac Group and now, rather than put them in recycling, I'm offering them free of charge to anyone who wants them - all I ask is that you pay the p&p which will be £5.95 as it's heavy.
So, if you're interested, email me at juliawattscrafts@gmail.com. You will need a paypal account. I will deal with the requests in the order that I receive them and will post as soon as I receive payment. I'm not sure how many packs there will be, at the moment I have 6 made up but I have lots more papers which I can put in packs. 1 pack is all Christmas papers so if you have a preference please say. If you email me and I've run out, I will let you know.
Please scroll down for today's card.

Purse-onally
Hi Bloggers.
Here's today's card -
For the background, I randomly stamped one of the swirl stamps from the Creative Expressions Handbags Galore Stamp Set using Lavender Organza Paris Trunk Dye Ink Pad. I made sure the ink was dry and then popped it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Lovingly Baroque Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern and then inked around the edges with Lavender Organza using Cut n Dry Foam.
I stamped the image from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured it in using Pink Ultra and Violet Frost Mica Powders from the Garden Flora Cosmic Shimmer Mica Spray Set. I cut it out using the 2 largest dies in the Spellbinders Exquisite Circles die set and inked through with Lavender Organza. I cut a Picot Edge Circle out of Lavender Card.
I cut 2 Scalloped Labels One out of white card and at the emboss stage I added the Couture Creations Intrinsic Embossing Folder. I inked through the die with Lavender Organza - I inked all over, not just around the edges.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags One and inked through the die with Lavender Organza. I added a couple of 5mm White Pearls.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges and a few more white pearls in the top right-hand corner.
Thanks for stopping by.

Good for the Sole
Hi Bloggers.
Easy peasy card today.
For the background, I popped a piece of blue card inside the Couture Creations Pastorale Embossing Folder and ran it through the Grand Calibur. The card was a little wider than the folder. I inked around the edges with Fountain Blue Paris Trunk Dye Ink using Cut n Dry Foam.
I stamped 2 of the shoes from the Creative Expressions If the Shoe Fits .... using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut them out using Spellbinders Splendid Circles and inked through the die with Fountain Blue.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with the clear powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags One and inked through the die with Fountain Blue. I added some 5mm White Pearls.

Pamper Yourself
Hi Bloggers.
A cool technique today with the Couture Creations Bradshaw Embossing Folder.
For the background, I spritzed a piece of Coconut White Card with Tarnished Gold Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Mister. I dried it with my heat tool. I used one of the corner stamps from the Creative Expressions You Look Scent 'sational' Stamp Set to stamp in each corner using the Yellow Damasque Paris Trunk Dye Ink Pad. I made sure the ink was dry and then popped it through the Grand Calibur with the Couture Creations Intrinsic Embossing Folder. I ran it through a second time to extend the pattern - it doesn't line up exactly but you can't really see the join. I edged the whole piece with Yellow Damasque using Cut n Dry Foam.
I stamped the perfume bottle using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Spellbinders Floral Ovals. Now, here's the cool bit - the image is still in the die and I haven't embossed it at this stage. You can line the Floral Oval die up with the oval design on the embossing folder, tape it in place and run it through the Grand Calibur (remember to leave the folder open so that the die does not cut into it). You get a really nice embossed design at the top and at the bottom of your die cut. I inked through the die with Yellow Damasque.
I coloured the image in with the Yellow Damasque ink and Enchanted Gold Mica Powder from the Cosmic Shimmer Garden Flora Mica Spray Set.
I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Jet Black Archival and embossed with Clear Powder. I cut it out using Labels 25 and inked through the die with Yellow Damasque.
I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Blue White American Seam Binding and added a Light Brown Dazzler.
I assembled the card as shown adding some dots of Cosmic Shimmer Pearlescent PVA in White around the edges.
