Birthday Wishes

Hi Bloggers.

A bit of Fire & Ice today -

For the background, I cut the 3 decorative dies from Sue Wilson's Swirly Vine Background out of the same piece of Black Card, leaving a border around the outide edge. To make cutting easier, I cut 1 die at a time.

Next, I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto the front of the die cut. I turned over to reveal the adhesive and added CS Autumn Leaves Gilding Flakes. I removed the excess using a piece of Rubit Scrubit.

I turned over and removed the other backing sheet. I added CS Iced Snow Glitter Jewels. I used a die from Sue's Double Pierced Squares to neaten the edges and matted onto Antique Copper Pearl Card.

I stamped the sentiment from Phill Martin's Scribbled Frame Sentiments Stamp Set onto Black Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed using CS Gold Detail Embossing Powder (seems to show up better than Ancient Copper). I cut out using Sue's Stitched Flags and cut the next sized die in the set out of Antique Copper Pearl Card.

I popped another piece of Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Black Card. I removed the other backing sheet and added CS Autumn Leaves Gilding Flakes. I removed the excess using a piece of Rubit Scrubit. I then cut all 4 sizes of flower from Sue's Cape Daisy Die Set. I glued them together, offsetting them and added an 8mm Black Pearl. I cut the 2 smaller leaves from Sue's Swirly Leaf Trio out of Black Card and out of Antique Copper Pearl Card.

I assembled the card as shown adding an 8mm Black Pearl to the corners and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat

Thinking of you today

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I used a Justrite Stamp Set called Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves. I dusted a piece of Coconut White Card with an Anti-Static Bag and then I stamped one of the leaves from the set randomly across it using Clear Perfect Medium and added CS Clear Embossing Powder. I filled in the gaps with a postage mark stamp from the same set, again using Clear Perfect Medium, added Clear Embossing Powder and heat set the lot. I then added Sun-Lit Cedar and Natural Rosewood CS Colour Cloud Ink using a couple of Smoothies. The embossed images resist the ink. I wiped away any excess ink sitting on the embossed lines using kitchen roll. Next, I misted some water into my hands and clapped over the background. I leftit a few minutes for the water to bleach out the colour from the ink and then blotted with kitchen roll. I edged the piece with Natural Rosewood Colour Cloud and matted onto Black Card.

I stamped the sentiment from Phill Martin's Butterfly Elegance Sentiments Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Jet Black Archival. I cut it out using #4 die in Sue Wilson's Mauritius Die Set. I cut #4 die from Sue's Maldives Die Set out of Black Card, dies #3 and #4 together out of Coconut White Card and glued the 2 die cuts together. I cut die #6 from the same set out of Coconut White Card, dies #5 and #6 together out of Black Card and glued the 2 die cuts together. I stacked all the die cut layers up using 3D Foam.

I cut the solid die of the largest leaf in Sue's Autumn Leaf Trio Die Set out of Black Card twice. I cut the co-ordinating open leaf from the same set out of Coconut White Card twice and glue the die cuts together. I cut a piece of White Crochet Ribbon in half lengthways. I coloured it by pouncing Natural Rosewood Colour Cloud onto it using a Smoothie. I made sure it was dry, added Hi-Tack Tape and folded and pleated to create a flower.

I assembled the card as shown adding an 8mm Black Pearl to 3 of the corners and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat

Birthday Wishes

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I started my dusting a piece of Coconut White Card with an Anti-Static Bag. I inked up a Brayer with Clear Perfect Medium. I used this to ink the deboss side of the Couture Creations Fudge Embossing Folder. I popped the card inside the folder with the dusted side facing the inked side of the folder. I ran it through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine. The ink transferred to the deboss pattern. I then added Phill Martin CS New Gold Mica Powder using a Dusting Brush. I removed the excess using a Dry Wet Wipe.

I dusted another piece of Coconut White Card with an Anti-Static Bag. I stamped the image from the Justrite Meadow Circles Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium. I then added Phill Martin CS New Gold Mica Powder using a Dusting Brush. I removed the excess using a Dry Wet Wipe. I cut it out using Justrite Stitched A2 Banners & Rectangles Dies and cut a mat out of Antique Gold Pearl Card using another die from the same set.

I stamped the sentiment from the Justrite Circle of Friends Stamp Set using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using Justrite A2 Card Front Basics Dies and cut a mat out of Antique Gold Pearl Card using another die from the same set. I added a Dazzler Setting and a Craft Consortium Large Pearl & Diamante Circle.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Craft Consortium Pearl Hearts and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Spread your wings

Hi Bloggers.

Here's today's card -

For the background, I used the large decorative die from the Justrite A2 Butterfly Garden Dies out of Black Card (I did not use the outer die). I popped a piece of Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of card (doesn't matter what colour). I removed the other backing sheet and added my die cut. I added CS Aurora Lights Gilding Flakes to the exposed adhesive adhesive. I removed the excess using a piece of Rubit Scrubit.

I popped some CS Flake & Glitter Glue onto a piece of Wax Paper. I picked it up onto a piece of Cut n Dry Foam and used it to ink up the image from the Justrite Butterfly Stamp Set. I stamped it onto Black Card leaving the stamp on the card no more than 3 seconds so as not to tear the card. I cleaned my stamp under a cold tap and then went back to my stamped image. I added CS Aurora Lights Gilding Flakes. I removed the excess using a piece of Rubit Scrubit. I cut it out using the largest circle die from the Justrite Stitched A2 Butterfly Garden Dies.

I assembled the card as shown adding Black Card and Steel Pearl Card, some Small Black Circle Dazzlers and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Thanks for stopping by.

Here's today's card -

This is a really simple card - the dies and the beautiful pearl card do all the work. I've used Icicle and Silver Shine Pearl Card. The background is embossed using the Couture Creations Super Plush Embossing Folder.

I've used the Justrite Hello Decorative Oval Dies - cutting all the dies in the set alternating between Silver Shine and Icicle Pearl Card and stacking them using Creative Expressions Mounting Cushion.

I tied a bow using 2 lengths of Craft Consortium White Satin Ribbon and added a Craft Consortium Vintage Pearl Charm.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Silver Dazzlers to the corners and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Thanks for stopping by.

One Day Special Shows continue on Hochanda today

Hi Bloggers.

One Day Special shows continue on Hochanda today at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. Hope you're loving this Art Deco range from Spellbinders as much as I do.

I have a twofer for you today - simply showing how the Fairmont ODS dies work just by stacking them up.

In this first one, I've used Milk and Coconut White Card with the Spellbinders Fairmont Labels and the Spellbinders Fairmont Decorative Accents. The background is embossed using the Creative Expressions Fine Finials Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from the Creative Expressions Petite Lavish Sentiments Stamp Set, stamped onto Coconut White Card using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with CS White Gold Brilliant Sparkle Embossing Powder.

I've used the smallest and the middle die in the Decorative Accents set, cutting them together out of Milk Card (I cut the larger of the 2 first then slotted the smaller inside and cut again - easier to cut this way). This gave me a pretty frame. I used little pieces of 3D Foam to mount this onto my Coconut White Fairmont Label then I added the pretty Decorative Fairmont die cut inside it securing with CS Glue. I added my sentiment using 3D Foam. I popped all this on top of the largest Fairmont Decorative Accents die cut and then onto my background.

I assembled the card as shown adding some Craft Consortium Pearls to the corners and piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat.

Here's the second card - more dramatic in Black and Coconut White and this time using the Spellbinders Fairmont Labels with the Spellbinders Fairmont Decorative Elements.

This is simply just stacking the die cuts up, alternating between the Fairmont Labels and the Fairmont Decorative Accents. The Labels are all cut from Coconut White Card and the Decorative Accents are all cut from Black Card. This time the background is embossed using the Creative Expressions Art Deco Fanfare Embossing Folder. The sentiment is once again from the Creative Expressions Petite Lavish Sentiments Stamp Set but this time stamped using Jet Black Archival. I've added some 8mm Black Pearls to the corners.

2 easy cards to make. Across the 3 die sets, there's lots of variations.

The offer of 10% discount on items I have in stock from my shows continues till midnight tonight. You can find them here.

Thanks for stopping by.
