Curtain Call Challenge - June 1 - Succulent - I'm Rootin' For You!

Hello stampin' friends! It is June 1st and that means it is time for another FUN Curtain Call Challenge. We have a beautiful inspirational photo for you to use or anything goes. I hope you can find a little crafty time and join us for the Curtain Call Inspirational Challenge - June 1 - Succulent.

This is the beautiful inspirational photo - June 1 - Succulent

I was inspired by the photo that we have for the June 1 Curtain Call Challenge. I really wanted to see if I could make my own sweet little succulents. I searched through my stash of MFT felt and MFT flower Die-namics to create a bunch of different "succulents". I used the Royal Roses Die-namics, Rolled Roses Die-namics, Rolled Daisy Die-namics, Rolled Mum and Rolled Gardinea Die-namics. I also used the leaf dies from Blueprints 14 and Poinsettia Die-namics. I  sponged with Distress inks on the edges of the petals to get the variation in colour that is seen on many succulents. I was originally going to make a card with the felt succulents but I had too many to pick from and they were a little too big and bulky for a card. I shifted gears and decided to make a 3D project and used the MFT Trapezoid Treat Box Die-namics and the Flower Basket Die-namics cut from Snow Cone Heavyweight Cardstock

Here's a detail shot looking down on the Flower Basket filled with felt "succulents". I stuffed the basket with tissue paper and then added some burlap and then adhered everything in place.

The sentiment was rather serendipitous....the sentiment  caught my eye as it was on a treat tent (with a root-beer sucker) sitting on the shelf in my craft room. I decided to "re-purpose" this sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Sugary Sweet Sentiments Stamp set for this basket full of felt "succulents".

I stamped the sentiment with Blu Raspberry Premium Dye Ink on Whip Cream Heayweigh Cardstock cut with the Reverse Confetti Folded Tag Confetti Cuts. I Embellished a sprinkling of mint green sequence tied the Folded Tag with Hemp cord.

Thank SO much for stopping by and havin' a little look at my card for the Curtain Call Challenge June 1 - Succulents! I hope you can join this FUN challenge!

My Favorite Things Stamps...Be Merry!

Hey Stampin' friends!

***Before I tell you about my MFT card that I have today...make sure you enter my Blog Candy giveaway! Just add you name to the InLinkz Link Up gadget at the bottom the post HERE!***

So, I took advantage of the long Thanksgiving weekend and got crafty! I inked up this super cute new Pure Innocence girl called Happy Christmas. This card is the kick-off to my Christmas card making...feels good to get a head start on it!

Here is the fabulous sketch that I used from the Deconstructed Sketch!

I made my card base 6X6 from Kraft Cardstock and used this festive Authentique Joyous 6x6 paper pad. I coloured the Pure Innocence Happy Christmas girl with my Copics and paper pieced her outfit. I cut her out and popped her up on the circle panel. I used MFT Heavyweight Card Stock in Black Licorice, Wild Cherry and Olive and MFT Sweet Tooth felt. I stamped a sentiment from the PI Holly Girl Stamp set with MFT Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and embossed it with AC Zing White Embossing powder.

As always, I used lots of Die-namics on this card...Rectangle STAX, Pierced Rectangle STAX, Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX, Circle STAX, Open Scallop Doily Duo, NEW Tree Line Die-namics, Snow Drifts Die-namics, NEW Blueprints 8, Blueprints 4, Blueprints, Blueprints 1.

Here is the inside...I stamped a shadow image of the PI Happy Christmas girl on MFT Primitive Cream Heavyweight Card Stock with Electric Red Premium Dye Ink. I used the Open Scallop Doily Duo again and the Layered Treat Tag Die-namics. I stamped this sweet sentiment that comes in the PI Happy Christmas Stamp set in Steel Grey Premium Dye Ink on Primitive Cream Heavyweight Card Stock.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and having a wee peek at my card with the super sweet Pure Innocence Happy Christmas girl.

My Favorite Things...WSC # 131...I Miss You Beary Much!

 photo MFTWSC131B_edited-1RS2_zpsdcd4a8e1.jpg

Hi stampin' friends! I went to a Crop on the weekend and surprisingly, I accomplished quite a bit with all the chatting and breaks to eat, I managed to make a scarpbooking page and a card. I used this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch...MFTWSC131 for this card with the  Prue Innocence On a Picnic Stamp set and the Chalkboard Frame Builder Die-namics.

Here is the great sketch that they have this week!

I inked up the super cute new Pure Innocence On a Picnic Stamp set and paired her with Authentique Grace 6x6 paper pad...I flipped the sketch to fit the image.  I coloured the PI On a Picnic girl with my Copics and paper pieced her outfit and inked in a sky with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and ground with Tea Dye Distress Ink and then added in some grass with my PrismaColor Pencils.  I also used the new Chalkboard Frame Builder Die-namics, cut from MFT Smooth White Heavyweight Card Stock and then stamped it with Kraft Premium Dye ink with the wood grain stamp from the LJD Western Backgrounds Stamp set. I replaced the flower on the sketch with a sun using the Sunshine Die-namics. I added a sentiment combining a sentiment from the Pure Innocence All Occasions Sentiment set and the PI Bear Hugs. Finally I cut a few clouds with the Jumbo Cloud STAX Die-namics and the little clouds from You Move Me Die-namics from Sweet Tooth Felt.

Here is the inside...I stamped the Pure Innocence On a Picnic girl in Bubblegum Premium Dye Ink on the gorgeous new Primitive White Heavyweight Card Stock and used my fave Sweet Stack Labels Die-namics and the Sentiments Strips Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment from the PI On a Picnic Stamp set in MFT Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink.

Thanks SO much for popping by and havin' a wee peek at my card with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch # 131!
