It was Wyatt's turn to bring the snack today and this is what we decided to do. Ethan's class loved the snowman kits last year and it's so easy and cute!
I got the tag here from the purple pumpkin blog.
The 4x9 cellophane bags fit this tag perfect.
We used pretzels for arms, marshmallows for the body and feet (regular and mini sized,) raisins for his buttons and eyes (chocolate chips would be yummy too but we needed this to be more healthy,) and orange tic tacs for his nose.

Snowmen snack #2
I guess Ethan and I are loving snowmen for our snack theme this year. There are just so many fun ideas out there. We decided to do these this month.
Snowmen juice boxes. I wrapped it in white paper(leaving the straw behind exposed), drew a snowman face, and added a ribbon scarf.
We made white chocolate popcorn for these. It's so easy. I used 2 bags of microwave popcorn(I prefer to use salt and butter flavor) with 2 or 3 squares of melted white almond bark. Mix in a big bowl and then spread on a big pan to dry. The cups were easy to decorate. I used a marker to add the face and taped twine on for the scarf. In case your wondering how I transported these, I covered each one with Press n Seal.
We also added a face to some clementines so they had a healthy snack too!
I also did a few of these to give to the ladies I visit teach at church. I filled the bottom of some big cellphone bags (12X24), cut the excess off and folded it over with tape. On the flip side I used a marker for the face, tied ribbon for the scarf, and used glue dots to attach the buttons.

I'm Melting...
Ethan and I made these for his class Christmas party.
Last year when Jill and I made these we used frosting for the scarfs but I decided to try the licorice pulls instead. It was easier but I wish they had blue licorice.
Head:cookie balls-crushed Oreos with cream cheese (Nutter Butters and peanut butter are yummy too) I just add cream cheese until it's at a good consistency to roll into a ball.
Place on wax paper and cover with white chocolate. I maybe should have done 2 coats but I am still getting used to the altitude change here and the chocolate wasn't drizzling as good for me here.
Hat:mini Reese's Peanut butter cup and mini Oreo cookie glued together with chocolate.
Scarf:red licorice pull aparts
Face:orange and black frosting
Ethan also wanted to bring these :) We used Oreo cookie balls dipped in chocolate.
He said the boys went crazy over these. I wasn't surprised!

I love cookie exchanges!
I made these Ritz peanut butter cookies for a Christmas cookie exchange. They are super simple but took some time: Take 2 Ritz crackers, spread peanut butter on one side and marshmallow cream on the other. Make a sandwich then dip. I learned a trick from a friend I wish I would have know before this. Freeze the cookie for a few minutes then dip one half of the cookie, freeze again then dip the other half. I know they are random designs but I don't like to do the same thing over and over.
Red and green chocolate drizzle.
Snowflakes:I bought the snowflake shaped Ritz which seemed like a great idea but it was impossible to get the 2 crackers to line up. Oh well!
Once the white chocolate dried I used blue chocolate to make the snowflake designs.
Snowmen: mini M&M's for eyes, mini chocolate chips for mouth and I used some carrot and pea candies I found at the dollar store for the nose.

More Snowman Fun!
When we make a treat for Ethan's class we usually have to do one for Wyatt's too. This is what he wanted to do...String cheese snowman!
I used a permanent marker for the face, sheer ribbon for the scarf, and black paper for the hat.

They seem to have their own personalities! I love Snowman!
Snowman Snack
It was Ethan's turn to bring in a snack for the class and we both agreed this would be the best thing. It's super easy (exactly what I need this time of year) and it's fun!
Ethan said the kids got a kick out of these since we don't ever get to build real snowmen here in New Mexico!
I found this on Pinterest. Click here to print the poem. Love Gourmet mom on the go's blog!
Here's what I used: large and mini marshmallows-snowman body, pull apart licorice-scarfs, mini chic. chips-eyes, orange sprinkles-nose, mini M&M's-buttons, pretzels-arms, Rolo's-hatsEthan said the kids got a kick out of these since we don't ever get to build real snowmen here in New Mexico!

Melting snowmen
Jill and I had a great time making these during the dreary month of January (even if we don't have snow.)
We loved seeing their little personalities come together.
These little bow tie friends were made with chocolate cake balls. We mixed the cake with peanut butter and formed 1 inch balls. We poured white chocolate (almond bark) over them and added the hat (mini oreo cookie and mini Reeses cup) before they dried. Once they dried we added the face with colored frosting.
These little scarf buddies are made with cookie balls. We crushed up Nutter Butter cookies and mixed the crumbs with cream cheese. I just guessed at how much to add. Add enough cream cheese until it will roll into a ball. Then follow the same steps as above to make the snowman. This is my first time trying the cookie ball and I loved it.

More Christmas treats
I made these for my brother John and his family who came to spend Christmas with us this year.
These were so much fun but took some time.
Santa head: white chocolate Lindt truffle.
beard-marshmellows
hat-fruit slice and pearl sprinkles
nose-cut mini M&M
I used pink chocolate to attach everything and make rosy cheeks.
Reindeer head-milk chocolate Lindt truffle
nose-mini M&M
antlers- pretzels.
I used chocolate to attach everything. I had to hold the pretzels on the head until it dried, otherwise it fell over. They ended up taking longer than I thought to make.
Reindeer donuts. Love this idea from Pinterest.
Shan made the cookies and I decorated them. These are so delicious. She added peanut butter between 2 Ritz crackers and dipped it in white chocolate. Simple yet so yummy. The snowman was my favorite. Next time I'll turn his nose to the side a little.
I know this is cheesy but I wanted this pic for me. I turned my BELIEVE sign from the Polar Express party into a WELCOME sign, added a variety of the above treats to a platter, and included some sparkling cider with hopes that our guests feel welcomed and loved when they walk in our door.
