DOODLE PANTRY JUNE RELEASE

Hello my Doodle Pantry friends! It is time for Doodle Pantry’s June release! This month's release is awesome with lots of masculine and patriotic sets! I made my card using Liberty Bell and the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Liberty Bell) Dies: Paper Smooches (Scalloped Tag); Ribbob: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

I merged the sentiment with the solid blue paper that comes with this set. I then printed that and the Liberty Bell outline image which I colored with Copics. I used the PS tag die and fussy cut the bell, and some DSP from DCWV Fashion District for the background.

I hope you enjoyed my card!

OWH226: THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

Hello my dear friends. I am so excited because it is Wednesday and I have a wonderful (for me) surprise coming soon! I can’t tell you though, you have to wait along with me!

This card is made using the Operation Write Home sketch for this week and is an AnyHero card that I can include in my next box of cards to OWH.

(A2: Stamps: Doodle Pantry (USA Freedom and USA Star); EF: Cuttlebug)

This is another card that was done jiffy quick. First I merged the sentiment and star and resized to fit the sketch. I then printed the DSP, sentiment and some additional stars in various sizes. I embossed the blue panel, cut the pennant and placed it on a red background, which I also did with the sentiment and the blue panel. I then quickly added a little glue to hold the pieces together and actually stitched them all at once. (I usually stitched each piece or panel and then attach everything.) Stitching like this went so quickly! I fussy cut the three stars and added them along with a few enamel dots and adhered the entire piece to a white card base.

BY THE WAY!! Don’t forget to check out the Doodle Pantry challenge and this month’s specials and new releases! You have until the 24th to get your card submitted, so there is time if you hurry!

Thanks for stopping by.

DOODLE PANTRY & OPERATION WRITE HOME

Hello my Doodle Pantry friends! This week, Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Operation Write Home sketch challenge!  I made an Any Hero card for my inspiration card:

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (USA Freedom, USA Star, Patriotic Turtle COLOR plus); EF Darice)

I ended up using three different Doodle Pantry sets, because I was trying to use some of my previously printed digital papers. The bottom panel with the stripes and stars is from Patriotic Turtle. The small strip and sentiment are from USA Freedom, and the star is from USA Star.  I used a Darice EF to create the chevron background.

Here is the OWH sketch and a link to the challenge. I hope you join us, and remember, if you do, use a Doodle Pantry image and also enter the Doodle Pantry challenge you will get the Petite Bouquet set below!

I hope you enjoyed my card!

Fusion3: HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES

Hi dear friends. Welcome to Hump Day! I have a quick post to share my Fusion card for this week:

(A2: Stamps: Taylored Expressions (Pennant Parade); Dies: Silhouette (flowers and butterfly))

I was inspired by the sketch as the Fusion challenge and decided to cut flowers and a butterfly on my Silhouette. To cut the flowers, I used DI and inked a 7 inch strip with rainbow colors. The sentiment is from a retired (I think) Taylored Expressions stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by. Here is a link to the challenge in case you want to share in the fun.

MM330: MY VALENTINE

Hello my dear friends! Happy Friday!!! I hope you had a good week and have lots of fun this weekend. To start it off, I have a Valentine to share:

(A2: Stamps; Doodle Pantry (Rose Bloom); Die: Silhouette, Spellbinders (Circle); DP: K&Co (Smitten))

I just love the change up at Mojo Monday. It was fun making a tall and skinny card, which allowed my circle to go over the edge and still fit in an A2 envelope. I used my Silhouette to cut the circle with circles and allowed the extra circles to be the last embellishment in the sketch. The My Valentine sentiment is a digital sentiment from Doodle Pantry. I cut it with a Spellbinders and inked it before removing from the die.

Thanks for stopping by. Here is a link to the  challenges in case you want to share in the fun.

OWH209; CCC9: JOY

Hi sweeties. Time for another Christmas card for the Christmas Card Challenges challenge 9 – Anything Goes.

(A2: Stamps: Doodle Pantry (Holiday Nutcrackers) – set includes images, sentiments, and digital papers; Die: Spellbinders Circle)

For this week’s card, I decided to combine the sketch at OWH with the anything goes challenge at CCC and have a little digital play time. For the focal image, I merged the solid green digital paper, the nutcracker, and the poinsettia. Then I made a smaller version of the poinsettia and just copied the two sizes so that they surrounded the nutcracker. After die cutting the sentiment, I used a dauber to ink around the sentiment before taking it out of the die.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

LIM156: YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST

Hello sweet friends. Today, I am sharing a card I made for the Less is More challenge. Do you like to cook and play around with recipes? You know, change ingredients or add something different to see what happens? I do that all the time, and I found myself doing that with this card.

(A2: Stamps:CAS-ual Fridays (Truth Is), Technique Tuesday (Simply You); DSP: scraps; EF: Darice; Cardstock: Neenah Solar White)

If you saw my post on Friday you saw a technique I was playing with that gives this 3D look to my flowers. I used white EP as shown in the tutorial, but all weekend I kept thinking, what if I used a EP that coordinates with the coloring, and that is how this was born. (The link to the tutorial is also in the Friday post). So with the LIM sketch in hand, I embossed the top two thirds of the card base, stamped the sentiment on a scrap of DSP and added a strip of card behind it. Then attached to the base and added the flowers. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by. Here is a link to the LIM challenge in case you want to share in the fun.

FALL HARVEST TIME

Back for my second post today. This card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(e) This Sketch.

(A2; Sentiment tag and pumpkins from Silhouette America; Paper from Craftwell)

This is a REALLY quick and easy card! I printed the Harvest Fall tag, cut it out and layered on brown CS. The DP is from scraps and also mounted on brown CS. I cut the pumpkins on the Silhouette and added a little color for depth. I mounted both of the panels on white/brown.

Thanks for stopping by!

LUV U

Today is the fourth Wednesday of July so that means it is time for   Inkspirational’s Sketch Challenge #35!

I know you will want to see all the gorgeous creations from our DT so be sure to check out their cards at Inspirational to be inspired! Now here is my DT card.

(4.25x4.25 square; Digital images: Eclectic Anthology; DP: Prima (Nature Garden);  Die: Verve (the big U), Spellbinders; Lace: Inspired by Stamping; Pearl swirl: ZVA)

I decided to do a shaped card using the Spellbinders die (the largest one in the set) which makes a 4.25x4.25 square. The “L”, “U”, and “V” are images from Eclectic Anthology, I added a strip of pre-taped lace (from Inspired by Stamping: I love that stuff!!!) across the middle and added the pearl flourish. Used DP and the die from Verve’s You and I set for the big “U”. I added some tiny hearts (yes, they are trash from a Martha Stewart punch) and a tiny red pearl to complete it.

Thanks for stopping by! I can’t wait to see what you do with the SKETCH!
