DOODLE PANTRY JULY CHALLENGE

Hello my Doodle Pantry friends! It’s time for another  Doodle Pantry challenge. The AIMPDC7 theme is Anything Goes. I am finishing my last Operation Write Home box so I made Any Hero cards:

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Patriotic Sheep, Stars & Stripes Paper Pack and Salute Bunny)

 

I am finishing this box with mixed emotions. I am so happy we don’t have enough heroes deployed to keep going, but I am sad that we won’t be able to send cards to our heroes. I love all of the patriotic sets at Doodle Pantry, but these two sets always make me smile. The images are colored with Copic markers. I hope you like my cards!

GREAT IMPRESSIONS NOVEMBER CHALLENGE

Hello to all of my Great Impressions friends! Welcome back for more inspiration from the Great Impressions store! Today is the start of our November challenge! Are you ready for it? This month, our challenge is: THANKFUL THOUGHTS! Here is a little something to hopefully inspire you!

(A2: Stamps: Great Impressions Stamps (Blessings –D452 and Home and Sentiments Set - OWH104); Copics; Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

Did you know that Great Impressions has fundraiser stamps for Operation Write Home? Click here to see all of the sets! I used the house from Home and Sentiments Set – OWH104 and colored it with Copics. I then added the sentiment Blessings –D452 and added a ribbon. I then matted on red and attached to a deep blue card base with foam tape.

GREAT IMPRESSIONS INSPIRATION SATURDAY

Hello to all of my Great Impressions friends! Welcome back for more inspiration from the Great Impressions store! It is the FIRST Saturday in August, so you have plenty of time to play in our August challenge which starts tomorrow! OK here is my card. Hopefully it will inspire you to enter your own creation in our challenge!

If you are a follower of my blog, you know I support Operation Write Home and that I am an Army Mom. Well, when I learned that Great Impressions was going to have stamps to support OWH, I was thrilled. This is one of the three sets that are available from Great Impressions and a portion of the sale goes to OWH!

So this is a CAS version of this card. I colored the image with Copics, stamped the sentiment and placed on blue and then red card stock and tied a strip of ribbon around the panel. It is all adhered to a dark blue card base.

VLVWk3: HUMBLED BY YOUR WILLINGNESS TO SERVE

Hello crafty friends. Welcome to a new week and a rainy day here in NC. I can’t complain though, it has been so hot and dry the cooler air and rain for the plants has been a welcomed relief. Today, I have an AnyHero card that I made using the Viva la Verve sketch for July week 3 which is a sketch AND inspiration challenge:

I am trying to get this box of cards shipped to Operation Write Home this week, so I want to make sure I have plenty of AnyHero cards for it! I dry embossed the base white panel. The stars were cut on my Cameo and the little dotted, scalloped border is from Taylored Expressions.

OWH231: LAND OF THE FREE…..

Hello my dear friends! Happy Tuesday and Happy July! Are you all ready for the Independence Day celebrations? I am making AnyHero cards this week, that is when I have time. I am also working on a quilling project. Anyway, here is my card for today:

(A2: Stamps: Verve (American Hero); DSP: Scraps)

I think American Hero has gotten more use than any other stamp set I have! For this card, I heat embossed the sentiment on the red card stock. The base panel is a piece of one of those Tim Holtz emboss resist papers. I used blue and red DI on it and stitched it to a red border. I pretty much just followed the sketch and added a bunch of stitching and dots and stars. I hope you like it!

OWH230: THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE

Hello crafty friends! This card is for the Operation Write Home sketch challenge. I always find I am short on AnyHero cards when I get a box ready to ship, so I am trying a new tactic; use the OWH sketch for them. That way, I should have one a week. So here is my AnyHero card:

Have you ever heard of Operation Write Home? If you are a card maker (and I assume you are since you are reading this), then you should check it out. What a great way to send cards to our deployed troops! You can send blank cards for the soldiers to send back home to their loved ones and you can send AnyHero cards that get delivered to a soldier who may need a little moral booster! Plus you get a new sketch every week! I hope you check it out!

DOODLE PANTRY JUNE RELEASE

Hello my Doodle Pantry friends! It is time for Doodle Pantry’s June release! This month's release is awesome with lots of masculine and patriotic sets! I made my card using Liberty Bell and the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

(A2; Digital stamp set: Doodle Pantry (Liberty Bell) Dies: Paper Smooches (Scalloped Tag); Ribbob: Really Reasonable Ribbon)

I merged the sentiment with the solid blue paper that comes with this set. I then printed that and the Liberty Bell outline image which I colored with Copics. I used the PS tag die and fussy cut the bell, and some DSP from DCWV Fashion District for the background.

OWH226: THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

Hello my dear friends. I am so excited because it is Wednesday and I have a wonderful (for me) surprise coming soon! I can’t tell you though, you have to wait along with me!  

This card is made using the Operation Write Home sketch for this week and is an AnyHero card that I can include in my next box of cards to OWH.

(A2: Stamps: Doodle Pantry (USA Freedom and USA Star); EF: Cuttlebug) 

This is another card that was done jiffy quick. First I merged the sentiment and star and resized to fit the sketch. I then printed the DSP, sentiment and some additional stars in various sizes. I embossed the blue panel, cut the pennant and placed it on a red background, which I also did with the sentiment and the blue panel. I then quickly added a little glue to hold the pieces together and actually stitched them all at once. (I usually stitched each piece or panel and then attach everything.) Stitching like this went so quickly! I fussy cut the three stars and added them along with a few enamel dots and adhered the entire piece to a white card base.

Hi my dear friends! I have a quick post for you to share my card that I made for the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge.

(A2; Stamps: Paper Smooches (Circle of Honor); EF: Cuttlebug; Paper: scraps)

This week almost got away from me! I made this card the other day and just haven’t had the time to get it posted. Since the challenge ends tomorrow, I figured I needed to get moving! 

The challenge is to use stripes, so I stamped the bird on some striped paper and then paper pieced his beak.  The sentiment is heat embossed on the red DP. I hope you like it!
