Visiting Dodo Towers - Dodolicious Tea Party!

The first time I found out that Lord Dodo, and Dodo Towers were in Cornwall was in 2011, when I received a message on a Youtube video asking if I wanted to try out their 2011 A5 Diary, which I did! And this led to me finding out they have their head office in CORNWALL!! How this was very exciting for me, I received the diary at the beginning of June and did my review in July, you can see the review HERE!

They spoke to me a few times, and invited me down, but I could never make it due to the fact that I couldn't drive, a friend of mine went to their open day last October/November time at Dodo Towers, I was seriously so jealous!

Then all changed when I met my lovely current boyfriend, he helped me pass my driving test, so I was free to do ANYTHING! THANK YOU

We had a day trip to the Royal Cornwall Show, where we met LORD DODO!!!!!!!! Well the face behind it, Lady Dodo! It was so exciting, HERE is my blog post with the pictures, but I will post the picture below...

I got to see the new 2013 LARGER Personal Filofax Dodo pad layout, which was really exciting, sorry about my simple expression on my face, I was ever so excited!

Roll forward to August, I had planned a trip, with the lovely Icclewu, she was to come down with her two daughters and we were to have the FILOFAX TOUR!

She came down on Thursday 2 August, which was amazing, and we planned to visit Lord Dodo on the Friday! It came to the Friday and a few things went wrong on our Trip, Perranporth was so busy, as I think that Boardmasters (I went in 2010, see my blog post) was causing all tourists to leave Newquay! 

So we were really early, and couldn't get hold of Lord Dodo to ask if we could come early, so we wandered around, went to the Ice Cream place, watched how Ice cream was made, ate some, then came the time, we got a text, it was a Dodolicious text giving us the all clear!

We left, we drove, we didn't get lost, we found it!

WE ARRIVED!

Now to the inside of the office...

Looks as if some Dodo parcels are being created? I wonder if anyone we know has ordered something.....that would be mad....

Here is the inside, with all the displays, it was oh so exciting, and then the tea party started, and we got to look at all sorts of products, oh it was like Christmas for me!

FRENCH FANCIES (I love them) as you can tell we ate them....

They no longer make those post it notes any more.... we WANT THEM!!!!! PLEASE LORD DODO!!!! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

We discussed a little idea for a product they could do, which I HOPE THEY START TO MAKE AS I WOULD LOVE IT!!!

I bought, a 2012 Personal sized Dodo Pad, and some Dodo Diary Stickers.... I have always wanted to try some!

They were all discussing the products... having a lovely time...

Tracy had a drink from a Dodolicious mug!

 It was such a lovely tea party and I would love to go back one day!!!

I would love it if Lord Dodo created our idea....... It would be most Perfect!

Filofax Compact Diary Issue....

I have been using my compact for a few weeks now and I absolutely LOVE it! But I have ONE issue...

What diary do I use??

Here are the three I have to choose from

• Paperchase Pink Week to View (the hearts are just a count down)
• Two Days to a Page Filofax Diary
• Week on One Page with Notes - Dodo Pad

I decided to put a week of each in for 3 weeks and see which I preferred..

Week 1 - Paperchase Pink Week to View

Week 2 - Two Days to a Page Filofax Diary

Week 3 - Week on One Page with Notes - Dodo Pad 

I will update you on my challenge every week to let you know how it is going, but so far I have noticed the boxes on the Dodo Pad to be a bit constrictive for my big writing and lots of notes for each day, so I have had to scatter notes around the page and it feels UNTIDY!!!!

I have to write the same two programmes in every Tuesday so we shall see how they look on each page....

Apololgy & Update

Happy Tuesday,

This shall be a small update and a HUGE apology!

So first things first, I'm completely 100% sorry! I have promised to do a video on the Dodo Pad, to all you and Lord Dodo! I have the video filmed, but all the negativity I have been getting has really put me off finishing it off and uploading it! I know that is completely silly and I should ignore them, but it has started to put me off Youtube!

I have also promised to do so many other videos which I have not done, I know that I should just move on and forget it, but I'm not in the best place at the moment and have been feeling really awful and sorry for myself, there are just a lot of things going on at the moment!

I will try and get caught up on things over the next week!

I once again completely 100% apologise for my lack of Youtube videos!

I know that all I have said is such a big excuse, but when bad things happen its hard to pick yourself up and be the excitable little puppy dog you usually are!

Now on a happy note!

People who are wondering if I'm going to the MAGICAL MYSTICAL Philofaxy Meet up in September, I am 100% the only reason I wont is if the train breaks down I have an accident on the way to the train station or I cannot find CP at Paddington hehe

But all thanks to my lovely boyfriend who has paid for the train tickets! It was my birthday present from him as I was nearly in tears as I could not afford it from my own wages :-) hehe <3

My FabFrugalness was going well then last week it took a bit of a down turn, kind of to do with my apology at the top! And the fact I had no money and I had to borrow money, the internet was down in work and we could not get paid until it was fixed, awful I know, but it really messed up my Fab Frugalness! But I promise this week will be better!!

I have bought myself a small treat this month, it consist of a book, it’s a felt making book, it’s the Cuter Book by Aranzo Aronzi, its magical and full of cute felt creatures, I know your all thinking but where will you get the money to pay for all the felt, I have the felt at home lots of it! Yay

So for the next 4 weeks here is my 4 budgets which I will stick to as I am leaving my bank card at home!!!!!!!

Now my sound track at the moment to my life seems to be  the following, its probably not something you will like all that much, and I know it’s a bit depressing but I'm feeling a bit low, enjoy!

Imagine raving it up in a huge crowd of people at dusk, in a huge field, on a warm day! LUSH!!!!

Reminds me of Boardmasters last year, and I cannot go this year as I have no money :’-(

2011 Dodo Pad For A5 Filofax Review

Alright me ansums

So I have been saying for AGES I am going to do a review of the lovely Dodo Pad for an A5 Filofax for ages! And I just don’t seem to have as much time to do set things these days, like my videos are gradually floating away on a stream!

But first of all here is the lovely Filofax I have used the Dodo Pad in.

I just want to start off by saying THANK YOU Lord Dodo for sending me this and giving me the chance to test it out!

I will show you the inside cover then I will get in to my review!

Doesn’t it look lovely together with it open like that!!! I love Filofaxes perfection!

When I first started to use the Dodo pad, I'm not going to lie, I really could not get on with it, as I tried to use the columns for set tasks, which you will see below, I just didn’t get the idea of setting myself what each column should be when I didn’t really know what I wanted to do, so I tried that for 2 weeks and each way I just could not work it.

Setting myself set columbs was just NOT working for me, then I realised, why do I have to have a set title for each column I just use it how I come across each day, and just decide in my head what each column is for depending on what I was doing for the day, and when I did that I started to enjoy using it, like some days each box would be for a different thing, others different times, I was just a bit of a free crazy diary!!

As I started to use it in a free flowing way it all made sense, its an amazing diary and I really enjoyed using it, but some times I wished the boxes were a bit bigger, but then if it needed to be bigger then the thing I was writing obviously would take longer than one box of time so I would put it across two boxes. I kept me in the normal organised chaos I like to live in! I am going to do a video at some point just to show you more about how I used it and how amazing I found it! I just need to try and make a time and stick to it!

But I'm very happy with this diary and I have really enjoyed using it!!! I am thinking of maybe getting a personal sized one for next year so I can have it a bit more portable as I was finding carrying an A5 is impractical!

But I love the Dodo Pad and I suggest you try it! ;-)

This is not an after thought even tho at the moment it does look like one!

I forgot to say how magical the pages are with their stories facts games etc, they just make you want to read more, its hard not to look at weeks in advance even tho you want to be supprised......
