Bright

Bright

I knew that we'd become right away
Oh, right away
At first sight I felt the energy of sun rays
I saw the life inside your eyes.

So shine bright tonight, you and I
We're beautiful like diamonds in the sky
Eye to eye, so alive
We're beautiful like diamonds in the sky.

Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
We're beautiful like diamonds in the sky.

"Diamonds"
- Rihanna

Oh it was cold today, and tomorrow will be just as chilly, but a warm up is on the way. Today though, the sun came out and it was wonderful.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't really want to spend time outside, but it felt so nice having the sun stream through my classroom windows.

Winter is always a rough season for me due to the lack of sunshine. Iowa is often overcast during the winter months, so any sunshine - even if it's bone-chilling cold outside - is welcome. My classroom faces west, so in the afternoon I tried to stand by the window as much as possible and soak up the rays.

I'm planning on calling it an early night tonight (after watching "Castle" of course), so that I can get a good night's sleep. I was really tired today - sore joints and all - so I want to make sure I get my 40 winks tonight.

Love you Awesome Nerds!

  1. I don't suppose I have to deal with clinical Seasonal Affective Disorder, but I sure feel the difference when we get those long stretches of overcast days. I will take cold and sunny any time instead of that!

  2. I'm with you about the sun! We've had some cold days, with rain and fog tossed in, but Sunday was c-c-c-old and sunny and felt just beautiful!

  3. I love rain and fog. Never experienced crazy amounts of snow - not much more than a dusting. I think I'm one of those sadistic people who may like to experience all the fog and overcast.

  4. Yes, I get you on the weather in general. It rained Sunday night and Monday, and was gray and biting today. Tomorrow is promising more rain that might start as sleet, freezing rain, and light snow. Every school system south of us is opening late, and I'll bet some will wind up closing. No word on us, yet.

    Love the song! Great picture!

    Peace <3
