Happy Monday, friends! Hope you had a good weekend -- we did. Went by way too fast though (typical). I'm sad summer is going but I am looking forward to fall and this weekend was very fall. Cloudy, rainy (at night), still a little warm but breezy. Cozy. Which got us in a movie mood. Have you seen (or read) " Water for Elephants ?" I haven't read the book but heard it's good. Now that I've seen the movie, I won't be reading the book but then again, I wasn't planning on it anyway. I won't review the movie here because I don't want to give anything away (I'm horrible with stuff like that) but will say I heart Rosie. When it comes to books though, I like to read them before seeing the movie (does anyone ever see the movie first then read the book?). Depending on the subject matter or some situations, I sometimes will pass on the movie because reading the details was enough that having it played out before my eyes might be more than I can hand...

Hey Everyone! How are you? Have you started/finished your holiday shopping? Not me. I've barely started. But that's par for the course with me. We do have lights up outside which absolutely delight YS2 everyday! He squeals, he laughs, he points, he dances, he ooh's and ahh's, and he's so happy seeing all the lights - at home and everywhere else. Have to say it's so fun experiencing the holidays with YS2. Seeing it through his eyes makes me so excited. He reminds me what it's all about and is making this time even more special and nothing like having kids around (whether your own or others') to help put things back in perspective and keep things simple. Happy Monday to you! Hopefully Mother’s (or woman’s) day weekend was fun-filled in some way for you all. Here it was beee-yooooo-teeee-ful all weekend long; full of sun and warmth. So nice. Monday greeted me with clouds and a little rain but I’m okay with that since the weekend was a huge reward. Got to spend a little time in the garden (usually I’m just ‘ at ’ the garden but not actually doing anything in it since I’m taking YS2 around (he has his fans at the park-hee hee) or off to the playground. So it was nice getting my hands AND my feet a little dirty (yay for flip-flops!). While there we sampled some French Sorrel from a neighbor. Had never heard of it before but it’s a leafy green that is very sour when you bite it. Citrus-sour. I liked it though. Tried thinking of what you’d use it in or how you’d use it but our neighbor said it’s something you don’t want to eat in large quantities because it becomes toxic .
