Snap the skyline
I love the varied architecture of Edinburgh and the many wonderful skylines available because of the hilly terrain. This is a view I used to see every day when I was in my 3rd year of University - on my walk to campus - although the glass buildings on the right were not even a dream in an architect's mind back then.
I'll definitely be repeating this from other spots around town.
Looking forward to all you lovely snap sets - everyone is welcome to take part once in a while or weekly - the idea is to share a visual set of 2 to 4 images on any theme you want

The one thing I always marvel at is how tall the buildings are. We're built on very marshy land here so we can't sink foundations to go that high. Or at least couldn't years ago.
I like the way you have given us a panorama and then picked out certain bits in detail. I bet the walls of the castle could tell a tale or two about the changing skyline.
What a marvelous Snap collection. Thank you for introducing us to Edinburgh & yes please to more of these quartets. I echo Maggie's comment about how neat the panorama is then individual close ups.
A great idea for a set of photos. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Edinburgh in your future snap set, and I may have to copy this idea myself please(if you don't mind?).
Novel idea and great pics. The one of the castle brings back memories... Would also be interesting to see comparisons in the various seasons.
lovely skyline views. I have been playing with panoramas lately so I may steal your idea too...for a future snap!
What a great set. I always love to see your photos of Edinburgh. They remind me of our recent (and far too brief) visit.
Love these views of Edinburgh!
Great idea - love the different skylines.
Another lovely set for Snap! I really like the panorama.
Oooo, great shots - love the variety.
What a lovely set of skylines - I am reminded of Mary Pippins :).
