pair in sunlight

on a lovely sunny walk I was taken with the colour of the few leaves still on the tree and then a few paces later noticed that the raindrops from overnight showers were catching the sunlight like jewals and so I had my pair of enhanced autumn leaves

Hope you are all getting some sunshine - I've seen photos of snow already!

I do like looking up through branches at the sky. Not many leaves left there. We haven't seen a blue sky like that since Sunday morning, just mist, mist and more mist. Your bejewelled leaf is very effective. A really good photo. A well thought out pair.

The surface on the close-up leaf is fascinating and so sharp - I always enjoy seeing things up close. You have a very appropriate pairing here.

A gorgeous pair of photos. Nothing but fog here for days now - I'm getting to dislike grey weather.

The raindrops photo is amazing. This is such a well seen pair and so evocative of the season.

Fantastic close up shot of your Look Down. Such a lovely blue sky on your Look Up.

All of the above and more. It's grey and rain here today too.

Like Miriam, I'm very impressed with the pairings you came up with the close up is wonderful. We walked on the canal this morning, blue skies, warm temperatures (so unlike November in Rochester.) On some stretches the trees have held onto their leaves and are still beautiful. In other areas, the trees were almost bare.

Love the leaves against that beautiful blue sky. Like Maggie we've had endless mist this week. I'm becoming quite the expert at driving through it!
